Final Notes
While we don’t have many callouts on the bug and feedback sections this week, mainly because we are about to release a new update that will generate plenty of new conversations on both those fronts, we do still have just a few more topics to quickly bring up. First up:
Balancing
As anyone who played the last Public Test Build has seen, we intend to make quite a few changes in the coming update. First and foremost, three public offenders are being adjusted: Trapmaster, the Katana, and the K9 Unit. You’ll be able to see the exact changes to each in the patch notes dropping alongside the update, but to quickly summarize they are all being nerfed.
Additionally, we know Persistence is the most frequently asked about balance change and we are currently discussing different options to help address that feedback. Those changes won’t be in the next update, but we’ll be sure to call them out as soon as we know when and thanks for the continuous feedback about all of these.
Creator Club Update
Just a quick note here to say a heartfelt thank you to the huge number of applicants who applied to brand-new Creator Club program! We are nearing the end of our review process and are working on figuring exactly who (and how many) creators will be let in with this first batch. Just to reiterate, if you don’t get accepted please do apply again later since this is an ongoing and new program where we will be accepting applicants in multiple waves.
Community Polls
Last week we put out a call in all the largest community areas to ask about how you felt about Season 2 and many thousands of you answered! We are going through that feedback now, especially the open-ended responses, and we just wanted to say thank you to every single person who took the time to answer through any of those options. Hopefully your eager participation will allow for us to do more of these polls (for various topics) in the future.
Big Deal Purchasing Bug
We are aware and working on an issue with the Reinforced Soldier Crate + CP offer. This deal/offer should be removed while we work on this, but if you have already tried to purchase and ran into the error then please reach out to our Player Support channels via the in-game chat. Thank you to the many players who reported this one!
Season 3 New to Multiplayer
We’ll have a lot more on this next week, but we wanted to give a teaser to some of what we are changing and improving in the next update. One major new change is the new Practice Range that will allow you to spawn bots, customize their parameters (number of them, behavior, etc.), and then let them loose for you to practice on. Additionally, you’ll be able to spawn, equip, and try any weapon or weapon blueprint in the Practice Range.
In Multiplayer matches in particular, there are going to be many new changes to UI, graphics, and customizations. You have some new HUD customization options to tinker with and you’ll likely notice visual animation updates to MP Medals, changes to the MVP highlight, and Scorestreak UI changes.
With that said, that’s the end of this final Season 2 community update, but you’ll see a new post from us again soon when we launch Season 3: Radical Raid on March 30th at 5 pm (PT)! Get ready for that delightful, imaginative, and retro season to arrive with new weapons, maps, operators, and a huge array of improvements. See everyone then and take care!
