Battle Royale Updates
Throughout 2022 we have been talking about how this year Battle Royale will be getting some new features, general improvements, and overall, more love. Like Season 4, Season 6 is another season where we focused on bringing an all-new gameplay experience to Battle Royale. This time instead of facing the storm and nature head-on, you get to conquer it in the brand-new Battle Royale vehicle the Jackal.
Become an Ace pilot, dominating the Skies in the Jackal. In addition to being fast, faster than anything current vehicle in Battle Royale, the Jackal comes equipped with missiles, flares, and an automatic cannon. And if you would rather just be along for the ride, the Jackal can fit a pilot and a passenger. Each Jackal will start the Battle Royale match parked on a landing strip and marked with the Jet icon on the map. There are bound to be other players dropping into the landing strips for their chance at the Jackal so make sure you are extra quick! From there you can speedily fly to a high-tier loot area or just eliminate your enemies from above, however, be wary because the Jackal isn’t the only new addition to Battle Royale…
We’ve also added Anti-aircraft weapons to the Battle Royale map. If you get motion sick, are afraid of heights, or just prefer your feet on solid ground, the Anti-aircraft Weapons are for you! The perfect counter to those who choose to go to the skies in their Jackals. If you find yourself in the crosshairs of a Jackal be sure and find one of these new Battle Royale weapons quickly.

New Weapons
Two new weapons have come to Call of Duty Mobile the new SMG KSP 45 and the new pistol L-CAR 9. These two weapons are built for close-range combat and will be perfect for patrolling the streets and alleys of Favela. The KSP 45 and the L-CAR 9 will be earnable through the Battle Pass and Seasonal Challenges respectively. More details on these two weapons are below –
New Weapon – KSP 45
This KSP 45 is available at tier 21 in the free pathway of the Season 6: To The Skies Battle Pass, with the Epic blueprint version KSP 45 – Oxidate available at tier 50 of the premium pass. This SMG, first seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, is a burst-fire weapon which means it will handle much differently from the other SMGs currently in Call of Duty: Mobile. Like other SMGs, the KSP 45 has high mobility with a fast fire rate, with extremely high damage in close-range encounters. The KSP 45’s burst shoots three bullets, hitting an enemy at close range with all three will eliminate them, and hitting an enemy’s head or chest with only two will also eliminate them. This weapon’s effectiveness drops off quickly in longer-range combat so choose your battles wisely. We will have a tutorial video showcasing the KSP 45 and recommended builds on our YouTube channel so be sure and subscribe to see it!
New Weapon – L-CAR 9
The L-CAR 9 is earnable through the first Seasonal Challenge of Season 6: To The Skies – Too Close For Comfort. This pistol is fully automatic and comes to Call of Duty: Mobile from Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Being a full-auto pistol means using this weapon in combat will be different than your other pistols in your arsenal, which combined with the L-CAR 9’s high-capacity magazine, makes this pistol comparable to primary weapons in close-range combat. Like the KSP 45, the L-CAR 9 has a significant drop-off in deadliness ranged combat because of the low range and accuracy of the weapon. We will be posting a tutorial video on our YouTube account for this weapon as well so keep an eye out for that!
Seasonal Challenges
Much like any new season, Season 6: To The Skies has all new challenges for you all to complete to earn some sweet rewards. We’ll cover the first Seasonal Challenge that’s live in-game now but be sure and keep an eye out for more Seasonal Challenge information in future Community Updates as a new challenge will be released every week.
Too Close For Comfort
The first Seasonal Challenge will have you getting nice and close to your enemies in MP matches, using Operator Skills, Pistols, and even the new L-CAR 9 pistol. Completing this Seasonal challenge will earn you 14,000 Battle Pass XP as well as the following from the mission itself:
- Charm – MG Can (Rare)
- KRM-262 – Vinyl Wrapped (Rare)
- L-CAR 9 – New Weapon
- Special Ops 1 – Pitch Black Shard (Epic)
New MP Map – Favela
We consistently see requests from the Community to bring older COD content to Call of Duty: Mobile, and with Favela, we are able to do just that. First seen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, then again in Call of Duty: Ghosts Favela is coming to Call of Duty: Mobile. Get ready to go from the jungles of Apocalypse to the streets of Brazil because this map is launching tomorrow 6/30 at 5 PM PT.
Soon you’ll be able to explore the sunny streets of Favela, including dark alleys, bright rooftops, and of course the soccer field. This map is medium-sized and has the classic COD three-lane layout. The left lane has lots of buildings, stairs, and obstacles making for varied close-combat encounters, as well as the soccer field in case you need a quick break 😉. The right lane has less shelter with players mostly fighting over control of two roads which leads to more medium and long-range combat. The central lane is the lane your team needs to control if you want to dominate in Favela. This lane has a complex network of connected rooftops where players can attack enemies from above. Check it out yourself in-game tomorrow and in the meantime take a look around the map in the flythrough below:

Draws
Before diving into the first draw of the season below, we wanted to touch on a few unique draw offerings happening in-game right now! The first of which is a re-run of the Damned to Life Mythic Drop. We often see players in the community asking when certain Mythics will come back to the CODM store, so we decided to bring a second mythic drop at the end of S5 that will continue into S6. Because this is the first time we are releasing two Mythic Drop re-runs/Reduxes in one season, there are still adjustments and tweaks needed to be done by the team, so the Damned to Life Mythic Drop re-run isn’t available to all of our players (most players will have access though). If it isn’t available to you, don’t fret as there will be another Mythic Redux added later in Season 6.
The second unique draw system we wanted to call out is the Arsenal Assembly Event where you are able to create your own draw. In this event, players can select one option from a choice of three for each of the ten tiers in a draw. Once the selections are made you can lock in your choices and draw from the curated draw as you would a normal draw. You can make up to three customized draws from this event from now until the event ends on 07/04 UTC.
Heaven’s Lance Draw
The first draw of the season will feature Nyx – Dragoon and the legendary M13 – Liminal Flare. Carry out godly justice with this noble Nyx Epic Operator and their sleek M13 that has a fiery kill effect sent straight from the heavens.
One new feature coming to legendary weapons this season is the ability to preview FOV and FOV Range in FPP while inspecting your legendary weapon in the draw. This is only available for legendary weapons and only those legendary weapons released in S6. Check out this new feature when the Heaven’s Lance draw goes live 7/2 UTC.
Summer Sale
Summer is here, which means hitting the beach, barbeques, and most notably our Summer Sale. Starting on 7/3 UTC and running until 7/14 UTC, the Summer Sale will feature discounts on past Crates, Draws, and Bundles. Players will be able to save up to 35% on these items during this sale so be sure and check it out between BR matches at the beach. The following Crates, Draws, and Bundles will be in the sale –
- Cobalt Steel Crate
- Molten Fusion Redux Draw
- Break on the Beach Crate
- The Space Between Bundle
- Beachcomber Crate
- Cloaked Huntsman Crate
- Deep Dweller Crate
- Glowing Green Crate
- Rising Tides Draw
- Pitch Black Crate

Our teams are regularly monitoring those, so thank you to anyone who takes the time to report any issue (big or small) and helps make the game better for everyone.
Lastly, outside of community channels, which are not great options for individual bugs just affecting you, our two main two official support options are below:

New Map
Favela
The fan-favorite map, Favela, has been officially added to the map pool!
Fighters, watch out for the snipers coming at you from the rooftops when you engage in thrilling alley battles.
Grab your medium-close range weapons and enjoy the game!
Mode Optimization
HP Mode Spawn Location Optimization
In the last release, we optimized the spawn location on some of the maps in HP Mode. However, a few logic and layout issues led to several unintended and unreasonable respawn situations (e.g., Slums and Miami Strike). After locating and fixing the problems on the corresponding maps, we have evaluated and diagnosed the remaining maps in HP Mode. We will continue to optimize the respawn experience in subsequent releases and hope our fighters to have a better combat experience in HP Mode.
Maps that received optimizations are as follows:
Slums, Miami Strike, Summit, Nuketown, Raid, Hackney Yard, Takeoff, and Standoff.
Ranked Match Update
We have increased the Rank XP for the MVP of the losing team in the MP Ranked Match, especially for players below the Legendary rank tier.
Battle Royale Update
New Vehicle - Jackal
- Refresh: A new limited-time fighter, the Jackal, is added to the Battle Royale! Players can track the fighter icon marked on the map to locate Jackals in the new airport runway areas. Each runway will spawn a fighter simultaneously, and each fighter will refresh on the runway when it is destroyed.
- Pilot: The left joystick can control the flight direction, while the right acceleration and deceleration buttons can control the flight speed. Please note that the Jackal will lose control when the flight speed is too slow. Please accelerate to regain control of the fighter.
- Weapons: Jackals can be equipped with cannons and missiles to target vehicles, which makes it an effective weapon on both the ground and air target attacks. Jackals can also be equipped with decoy bombs to remove the target lock of FHJ-18, hostile fighters, and anti-aircraft missiles. Last but not least, the Jackal is capable of detecting the location of enemies within a certain range, displaying the enemies as red dots on the map.
New Feature
Anti-Air Guns
· In Battle Royale, the Anti-Air Guns are deployed around the town! These Anti-Air Guns can be used to target and attack land vehicles and air units.
· Since each Anti-Air contains only four missiles, turrets with unused missiles will display a tracker indicator.
· Anti-Air will self-destruct in a short period of time after all its missiles are used.
Other Optimization
· Optimized the prompt UI of being down and collecting dog tags.
· Optimized the SFX of being down and collecting dog tags.
