Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community, we are beyond excited to announce that the first season of 2023 “S1 – Awakening” is live now! This season is themed around the upcoming Lunar New Year and we have a ton of new content that fits perfectly into that theme. Looking Ahead for Call of Duty: Mobile 2023

Before we dive into the rest of the usual Community Update details, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your passion, engagement, and support for Call of Duty: Mobile in 2022. This game wouldn’t be what it is without this amazing Community, let alone be thriving over 3 years after its initial launch. In fact, with all of your help, 2022 was a banner year for CODM, and we plan on making 2023 even better.

As this is the first Community Update of 2023, we wanted to share an early look at some of the key areas the team will be focusing on over the next year.

General Gameplay – in addition to maintaining our three game modes of Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and Zombies; we will continue to have regular seasonal updates with new game modes and maps. We also plan on expanding on the popular MP game modes like Ground War and Super Attack of the Undead, as well as continuing to explore new modes to bring more fun to our players. More info on new modes will be available closer to when they are launching in game!

Competitive Gameplay – the team plans on continuing to optimize Ranked mode throughout 2023, adjusting the map rotation and bringing in new rewards for each Ranked season. One update to Ranked is the addition of Elite Missions – which we will talk about below – where players can get extra rewards for being the elite of the elite in Ranked mode. Tournaments is another area that the team is planning on continuing to optimize and bring fresh new rewards to.

Weapon Optimizations – Since November of last year the team has been consistently adjusting the way weapons feel and sound when firing and damaging enemies. The team will be continually optimizing this aspect of the game to make CODM even more immersive.

Battle Pass – In addition to new Battle Passes arriving seasonally in 2023, because we are now in our fourth year of Call of Duty: Mobile there have been a ton of Battle Passes that players either missed out on or didn’t have a chance to finish. The team plans on continuing to support our new Battle Pass Vault feature to bring back some of the favorite Battle Passes of the past to current players.

Cheating – COD:M has always been strict in anti-cheating, anti-hacking, and anti-abuse and will continue to do so. In the future, the team plans on optimizing keyboard and mouse monitoring as well as voice recognition to create a healthy and fair gaming environment.

Bug Fixes – Crashes, latency issues, and game size are high-priority issues that are always front of mind and being worked on. The team also plans on implementing adaptability for more devices and enabling high frame rate settings for more devices in the future.

Ultimately, Call of Duty: Mobile is a game we all love. This is true for our Community, for us, and for Activision as a whole. Together we will continue to make COD:M the amazing game it is, has been, and will continue to be.

New Weapon – Dingo
Now available at tier 21 in the free path of the Battle Pass is the new functional weapon, the Dingo. First seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops III the Dingo is a full-auto light machine gun with a fast fire rate with moderate recoil control. This LMG has a higher mobility than most of the LMGs currently in Call of Duty: Mobile, with the right build this new weapon can feel almost like an AR with more magazine capacity! In addition to the base version of this weapon at tier 21, an Epic version of the weapon – the Dingo – Monkey King’s Legacy is available at tier 50 of the premium Battle Pass. There may also be a legendary version of this weapon available later in the season in a draw! More details on that incoming.

New Lethal – Stim Shot
Available at tier 14 of the free Battle Pass is the latest tactical equipment coming to Call of Duty: Mobile – Stim Shot. First seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 the Stim Shot is a reusable stimulant that initiates a healing process for the player using it immediately. Be careful using this new equipment because while healing you will be vulnerable to other players. Our favorite way to use Stim Shot is to use it to get some healing while sliding so you are a smaller target while exposed to other players. We will have a showcase video for the Stim Shot on our YouTube channel later this season so be sure and keep an eye out for that when it drops!

New MP Map – Nuketown – Year of the Rabbit
The iconic and fan-favorite map Nuketown has gotten another look! Nuketown – Year of the Rabbit will be playable in Call of Duty: Mobile starting 1/27 UTC. This version of Nuketown (as the name suggests) is all about the year of the Rabbit. With some hidden and some not-so-hidden Rabbits in the map, this map celebrates the upcoming Lunar New Year in a variety of ways. And what is a Lunar New Year without some fireworks? Unlike the classic Nuketown set in the middle of nowhere, Nuketown – Year of the Rabbit is set amid a big city complete with skyscrapers and – you guessed it – a firework show unlike any other. A full flythrough of the map will be posted on our YouTube channel later this season so be sure and keep an eye out for that to learn all about this new celebratory map in Call of Duty: Mobile.

Lunar New Year BR Updates

Much like last year, Lunar New Year has come to Battle Royale as well! In Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1 – Reawakening, two new Points of Interest have come to Isolated – the Ecology Lab and the T-3 Refinery. The Ecology Lab is filled with different greenhouses growing various advanced plant materials for secret projects. Each greenhouse within the Ecology lab has computer stations that players can interact with to get consumables. The T-3 refinery is where the natural resources of Isolated are being broken down into usable items for the ATLAS Corporation. In the T-3 Refinery players can find two treatment cylinders that have giant updrafts players can jump into the float into the skies.

Also, within these two new points of interest, players will find ATLAS Corporation NPCs who will be giving out red envelopes. Within these Red Envelopes will be our new Limited Time Tickets that players can exchange for items in our Limited time tickets store. Limited Time Tickets can be found in other ways in Battle Royale including –

  • Finding and destroying R.A.B.T.s in BR
    • R.A.B.T.s are Rabbit looking lanterns on wheels that will be “running” around Isolated
  • Popping the Lunar New Year loot balloons floating around Isolated
  • Eliminating enemies in BR

The Limited Time Tickets really are available only for a limited time and will be usable in both Season 1 and Season 2, so earn and use them while you can! If you are short on tickets and want an item from our Limited Time Ticket store players can supplement their ticket stash by converting COD Points for tickets at a one-to-one exchange rate.

Ranked

As with most odd seasons, a new Ranked Season is here! In addition to the new rewards available for players in this Ranked Season, this year we are introducing Elite Missions to Ranked mode. Elite Missions is our way of rewarding the best of the best Ranked mode players. There will be more details on Elite Missions later as it is meant to reward long-term highly skilled Ranked players. The basic details are if you end a Season highly ranked (Legendary or top 5000) you will earn Medals. These Medals will be super valuable later…and that’s all we are allowed to say at this time. 😉

Target Acquired

The first Seasonal Challenge of the season is live now! Target Acquired will have players acquiring and eliminating their targets using snipers and specifically the DL Q33. Proving your prowess with the sniper rifles by completing the tasks to earn 11,000 Battle Pass XP and the new signature attachment for the DL Q33 – the DL Q33 Magazine. This signature attachment will give missed shots from the DL Q33 a slight stun affecting enemies on near-missed shots. In addition to the signature attachment players who complete the tasks in this seasonal challenge will earn

Year 2023 - Bloom in Black

The world-famous arms manufacturer Kurohana Corporation not only became the major shareholders of ATLAS Corporation this year, but also made high-profile appearances in occasions to attract attention worldwide. In this Elite Mission, there will be numerous confidential files that can be discovered by soldiers, and newly developed weapons are waiting.

Elite Mission Reward

In the last season of Elite Mission, soldiers can redeem Elite Mission Rewards with a certain number of Confidential Tokens and Legendary Medals. More information about this final reward will be released in upcoming seasons!

Confidential Token

According to the theme of the year, confidential documents of the manufacturer will be included in each season for soldiers to unlock. Confidential Tokens can be acquired by completing tasks from documents.

In this year, soldiers will acquire the confidential token "Petals of Black Lily" by unlocking Kurohana's documents.

Legendary Medal

At the end of each season, soldiers ranking up to Legendary will be rewarded with a Legendary Medal of the year (MP/BR will be counted separately) . An extra medal will be given to players who enter the top 5000 in Legendary at the end of the season.

In this year, soldiers will acquire Kurohana's Medal with Black Lily design as the Legendary Medal of 2023.

In addition, there will be exclusive Confidential Tokens and Legendary Medals in Elite Mission of each year. Soldiers can redeem the Elite Mission rewards after the end of the Elite Mission, but no longer obtain both Confidential Tokens or Legendary Medals of the ended mission.

Lunar New Year Event

Event Rules

Soldiers can obtain Limit Time Tickets in Battle Royale everyday, which can be used to purchase items in the Limit Time Ticket Store.

Rabbit Lantern

There will be Rabbit Lanterns running in the battleground. Your team will earn huge supplies by dealing damage to Rabbit Lanterns. The higher the damage, the better the rewards.

Spring Festival balloons

The balloons floating in the air are not just decorations. Pop them to get supplies and Limited Time Tickets.

NPC Tasks

When the year of the Rabbit approaches, Scylla has some tasks for soldiers. After completing the mission you can receive a Red Envelope with Limited Time Tickets and supplies.

In addition, eliminating enemies will get the chance to obtain Limited Time Tickets.

While supplies can arm yourself in the battle, the Limited Time Tickets can be used in the LTT store. For more details, please go to the store for further information.

Feedback Texts of Defeating/Knocking Down Enemy

Optimized the feedback texts of defeating/knocking down enemies

It's a tradition of Battle Royale games that texts of defeating/knocking down broadcast above the reticle. However, we found that sometimes the broadcasting is too redundant and frequent, and hard to distinguish the source of the messages. Thus optimizations are made to solve the issues:

  1. Defeating/knocking down by player, it will not be broadcasted above the reticle in player's own view. Instead, they will be displayed at the right side of the reticle(similar to the positive feedback text in MP).

  2. Defeating/knocking down brought by teammates will be added a blue underlay. Defeating/knocking down teammates will be added a red underlay.

  3. Optimized broadcasting texts will be more simple.

  4. Squad elimination will be broadcasted.

Death Recap

Death Recap in Battle Royale was added. Players eliminated can tap to view details in Death Recap. This page will show the damage from both sides between player and the killer in chronological order.

Other Optimization/Update

More rational refreshing logic of supplies:

Optimized the logic of supply refreshing to make reduction on phenomenon that supplies with extremely uneven distribution.

UI Resolution improvement:

Improved resolutions of some key buttons in Battle Royale in default states (no need to download HD resource pack).

Adjustment on Private room parameters:

Adjusted parameter of the option 'SLOW' of 'Safe Zone Shrink Frequency', now it is slower than before.

Trial Loadout

Trial Loadout system is now available. Players who reach Lv.20 can unlock Trial Loadout.

In Trial Loadout, players can use all the basic weapons, Scorestreaks, Perks, Operator Skills, etc. And all attachments can be equipped on weapon regardless of limitation of weapon level.

Quick Message Wheel

Added an option of 'Quick Message Wheel'. When enabled, you can tap to view the message wheel and slide to select quick messages to send.

It is OFF by default, and needs to be enabled in the settings.

It is only available in Multiplayer.

Quick Message Wheel will be soon optimized and available in Battle Royale.

Raise Upper Level Limit

Players are now available to level up to 200.

With the rising level limit, we've made a series of icons for displaying in profile.

Meanwhile, the rarity of the milestone rewards in leveling is increased. Dynamic camos will be available, and more exclusive rewards in the future!

Tournament Optimization

Players with unfinished weekly milestones will receive a ranked shield in Alcatraz - Tournament.

Member limitation of team-up in some modes of free for all style was decreased.

Spectating Optimization

  1. Added displaying of Scorestreaks obtained from airdrop in OB.

  2. Optimized the logic of switching FPP/TPP in OB.

  3. Optimized the displaying of the Perk “Persistence” in OB.

Other Updates

Added an option of 'Sync ADS FOV to Scope Zoom':

  • When enabled, the FOV value of ADS will be related to scope magnifications and it will no longer be a constant value.

Added an option of 'Network Instability DMG Loss Alert'

  • When enabled, there will be a sign displayed to remind players of error on dealing damage due to abnormal connection.

Added an option of 'Transparentize Player Near Obstruction in TPP':

  • Disable in default settings in SETTINGS - BASIC - BR MODE
  • Mythic Shroud can be switched in custom weapon appearance.

Added an option of 'Weapon Inspect when Sprinting/Jumping.'

Adjusted limitation of friend list to 220.

DR-H

Poor performance on ADS bullet spread of DR-H served a serious drag on its strength. Besides, its firing range is not enough for the majority of combat ranges. It's time for adjustment.

Range: Increased

ADS bullet dispersion: Significantly reduced

KN-44

The fire rate of KN-44 is lower than other weapons that are deadly in 4 shots. Low accuracy of attachments for high mobility is difficult to support mid-range combat. With the lack of benefits from headshots, we need to make a specific buff on it.

As an assault rifle with mid-to-low fire rate, its damage in medium range doesn't make it stand out. So, it's time to buff it.

M13 performs well with the advantage brought by the high fire rate, but it's weaker in face-to-face combat due to the Get-hit flinch. So we reduced its Get-hit flinch and increased the ADS speed to make it adapt to the combat scenarios.

The time for reloading takes effect was adjusted to make it more consistent after the mag is loaded.

HVK-30

Without attachments, the performance of HVK-30 was slightly behind the rest of the other assault rifles which makes it not able to stand out when equipped with Large Caliber Mag, thus we need to buff it.

Upper arm damage multiplier: Increased (No attachment)

ASM10

Branson still shows a high ceiling of capacity under certain circumstances even after last nerf, but this high upper limit should not be at the cost of this gun with other attachments. Without Branson, ASM10 is relatively weak compared to other low-fire-rate rifles thus we need to give it some buff on firing ranges.

OWC Ranger:

Oden

Oden is unstable and barely achieves the shortest TTK, and it's restricted by the ADS bullet spread. It's time to make it deadly in two shots.

The weapon firing movement overly affected the performance. So we optimized the movement performance of the recoil flinch. We also reduced the reticle flinch affected by bullet dispersion.

The benefits of Arctic .50 - Stopping Power Reload was not significant enough. On the contrary, the debuff was so strong that it lost the advantages of combatting with the majority of sniper rifles.

The mobility of PKM was a bit low compared to its strong firepower, so we made an upward adjustment on its mobility.

RUS-79U is in an awkward situation because it's slightly weaker than SMGs in close range combat and not capable enough of mid-range combatting.

HS2126 was famous for the fierce suppressive firing, but the long interval between bursts pushed it to an awkward situation. Besides, the strong vertical recoil made forgiveness less that the weapon became more difficult to use.

The strength of KSP 45 was adjusted back to a reasonable level after nerfing. But now it was at a disadvantage compared to strong SMG on the range, needing a buff to adjust upward.

In the past, we nerfed the performance of popular loadouts of QQ9 in order to avoid the situation of dominant usage rate in SMG after the nerfing of Switchblade X9. We also encourage players to make more different loadouts. QQ9 needs improvement to catch CBR4 and Fennec, and attachments that are not so popular need a buff as well.

Looking Ahead for Call of Duty: Mobile 2023

Before we dive into the rest of the usual Community Update details, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your passion, engagement, and support for Call of Duty: Mobile in 2022. This game wouldn’t be what it is without this amazing Community, let alone be thriving over 3 years after its initial launch. In fact, with all of your help, 2022 was a banner year for CODM, and we plan on making 2023 even better.

As this is the first Community Update of 2023, we wanted to share an early look at some of the key areas the team will be focusing on over the next year.

General Gameplay – in addition to maintaining our three game modes of Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and Zombies; we will continue to have regular seasonal updates with new game modes and maps. We also plan on expanding on the popular MP game modes like Ground War and Super Attack of the Undead, as well as continuing to explore new modes to bring more fun to our players. More info on new modes will be available closer to when they are launching in game!

Competitive Gameplay – the team plans on continuing to optimize Ranked mode throughout 2023, adjusting the map rotation and bringing in new rewards for each Ranked season. One update to Ranked is the addition of Elite Missions – which we will talk about below – where players can get extra rewards for being the elite of the elite in Ranked mode. Tournaments is another area that the team is planning on continuing to optimize and bring fresh new rewards to.

Weapon Optimizations – Since November of last year the team has been consistently adjusting the way weapons feel and sound when firing and damaging enemies. The team will be continually optimizing this aspect of the game to make CODM even more immersive.

Battle Pass – In addition to new Battle Passes arriving seasonally in 2023, because we are now in our fourth year of Call of Duty: Mobile there have been a ton of Battle Passes that players either missed out on or didn’t have a chance to finish. The team plans on continuing to support our new Battle Pass Vault feature to bring back some of the favorite Battle Passes of the past to current players.

Cheating – COD:M has always been strict in anti-cheating, anti-hacking, and anti-abuse and will continue to do so. In the future, the team plans on optimizing keyboard and mouse monitoring as well as voice recognition to create a healthy and fair gaming environment.

Bug Fixes – Crashes, latency issues, and game size are high-priority issues that are always front of mind and being worked on. The team also plans on implementing adaptability for more devices and enabling high frame rate settings for more devices in the future.

Ultimately, Call of Duty: Mobile is a game we all love. This is true for our Community, for us, and for Activision as a whole. Together we will continue to make COD:M the amazing game it is, has been, and will continue to be.

New Weapon – Dingo
Now available at tier 21 in the free path of the Battle Pass is the new functional weapon, the Dingo. First seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops III the Dingo is a full-auto light machine gun with a fast fire rate with moderate recoil control. This LMG has a higher mobility than most of the LMGs currently in Call of Duty: Mobile, with the right build this new weapon can feel almost like an AR with more magazine capacity! In addition to the base version of this weapon at tier 21, an Epic version of the weapon – the Dingo – Monkey King’s Legacy is available at tier 50 of the premium Battle Pass. There may also be a legendary version of this weapon available later in the season in a draw! More details on that incoming.

New Lethal – Stim Shot
Available at tier 14 of the free Battle Pass is the latest tactical equipment coming to Call of Duty: Mobile – Stim Shot. First seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 the Stim Shot is a reusable stimulant that initiates a healing process for the player using it immediately. Be careful using this new equipment because while healing you will be vulnerable to other players. Our favorite way to use Stim Shot is to use it to get some healing while sliding so you are a smaller target while exposed to other players. We will have a showcase video for the Stim Shot on our YouTube channel later this season so be sure and keep an eye out for that when it drops!

New MP Map – Nuketown – Year of the Rabbit
The iconic and fan-favorite map Nuketown has gotten another look! Nuketown – Year of the Rabbit will be playable in Call of Duty: Mobile starting 1/27 UTC. This version of Nuketown (as the name suggests) is all about the year of the Rabbit. With some hidden and some not-so-hidden Rabbits in the map, this map celebrates the upcoming Lunar New Year in a variety of ways. And what is a Lunar New Year without some fireworks? Unlike the classic Nuketown set in the middle of nowhere, Nuketown – Year of the Rabbit is set amid a big city complete with skyscrapers and – you guessed it – a firework show unlike any other. A full flythrough of the map will be posted on our YouTube channel later this season so be sure and keep an eye out for that to learn all about this new celebratory map in Call of Duty: Mobile.

Lunar New Year BR Updates

Much like last year, Lunar New Year has come to Battle Royale as well! In Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1 – Reawakening, two new Points of Interest have come to Isolated – the Ecology Lab and the T-3 Refinery. The Ecology Lab is filled with different greenhouses growing various advanced plant materials for secret projects. Each greenhouse within the Ecology lab has computer stations that players can interact with to get consumables. The T-3 refinery is where the natural resources of Isolated are being broken down into usable items for the ATLAS Corporation. In the T-3 Refinery players can find two treatment cylinders that have giant updrafts players can jump into the float into the skies.

Also, within these two new points of interest, players will find ATLAS Corporation NPCs who will be giving out red envelopes. Within these Red Envelopes will be our new Limited Time Tickets that players can exchange for items in our Limited time tickets store. Limited Time Tickets can be found in other ways in Battle Royale including –

  • Finding and destroying R.A.B.T.s in BR
    • R.A.B.T.s are Rabbit looking lanterns on wheels that will be “running” around Isolated
  • Popping the Lunar New Year loot balloons floating around Isolated
  • Eliminating enemies in BR

The Limited Time Tickets really are available only for a limited time and will be usable in both Season 1 and Season 2, so earn and use them while you can! If you are short on tickets and want an item from our Limited Time Ticket store players can supplement their ticket stash by converting COD Points for tickets at a one-to-one exchange rate.

Ranked

As with most odd seasons, a new Ranked Season is here! In addition to the new rewards available for players in this Ranked Season, this year we are introducing Elite Missions to Ranked mode. Elite Missions is our way of rewarding the best of the best Ranked mode players. There will be more details on Elite Missions later as it is meant to reward long-term highly skilled Ranked players. The basic details are if you end a Season highly ranked (Legendary or top 5000) you will earn Medals. These Medals will be super valuable later…and that’s all we are allowed to say at this time. 😉

Target Acquired

The first Seasonal Challenge of the season is live now! Target Acquired will have players acquiring and eliminating their targets using snipers and specifically the DL Q33. Proving your prowess with the sniper rifles by completing the tasks to earn 11,000 Battle Pass XP and the new signature attachment for the DL Q33 – the DL Q33 Magazine. This signature attachment will give missed shots from the DL Q33 a slight stun affecting enemies on near-missed shots. In addition to the signature attachment players who complete the tasks in this seasonal challenge will earn

The world-famous arms manufacturer Kurohana Corporation not only became the major shareholders of ATLAS Corporation this year, but also made high-profile appearances in occasions to attract attention worldwide. In this Elite Mission, there will be numerous confidential files that can be discovered by soldiers, and newly developed weapons are waiting.

Elite Mission Reward

In the last season of Elite Mission, soldiers can redeem Elite Mission Rewards with a certain number of Confidential Tokens and Legendary Medals. More information about this final reward will be released in upcoming seasons!

Confidential Token

According to the theme of the year, confidential documents of the manufacturer will be included in each season for soldiers to unlock. Confidential Tokens can be acquired by completing tasks from documents.

In this year, soldiers will acquire the confidential token "Petals of Black Lily" by unlocking Kurohana's documents.

Legendary Medal

At the end of each season, soldiers ranking up to Legendary will be rewarded with a Legendary Medal of the year (MP/BR will be counted separately) . An extra medal will be given to players who enter the top 5000 in Legendary at the end of the season.

In this year, soldiers will acquire Kurohana's Medal with Black Lily design as the Legendary Medal of 2023.

In addition, there will be exclusive Confidential Tokens and Legendary Medals in Elite Mission of each year. Soldiers can redeem the Elite Mission rewards after the end of the Elite Mission, but no longer obtain both Confidential Tokens or Legendary Medals of the ended mission.

There will be Rabbit Lanterns running in the battleground. Your team will earn huge supplies by dealing damage to Rabbit Lanterns. The higher the damage, the better the rewards.

Spring Festival balloons

The balloons floating in the air are not just decorations. Pop them to get supplies and Limited Time Tickets.

When the year of the Rabbit approaches, Scylla has some tasks for soldiers. After completing the mission you can receive a Red Envelope with Limited Time Tickets and supplies.

In addition, eliminating enemies will get the chance to obtain Limited Time Tickets.

While supplies can arm yourself in the battle, the Limited Time Tickets can be used in the LTT store. For more details, please go to the store for further information.

Feedback Texts of Defeating/Knocking Down Enemy

Optimized the feedback texts of defeating/knocking down enemies

It's a tradition of Battle Royale games that texts of defeating/knocking down broadcast above the reticle. However, we found that sometimes the broadcasting is too redundant and frequent, and hard to distinguish the source of the messages. Thus optimizations are made to solve the issues:

  1. Defeating/knocking down by player, it will not be broadcasted above the reticle in player's own view. Instead, they will be displayed at the right side of the reticle(similar to the positive feedback text in MP).

  2. Defeating/knocking down brought by teammates will be added a blue underlay. Defeating/knocking down teammates will be added a red underlay.

  3. Optimized broadcasting texts will be more simple.

  4. Squad elimination will be broadcasted.

Death Recap

Death Recap in Battle Royale was added. Players eliminated can tap to view details in Death Recap. This page will show the damage from both sides between player and the killer in chronological order.

Other Optimization/Update

More rational refreshing logic of supplies:

Optimized the logic of supply refreshing to make reduction on phenomenon that supplies with extremely uneven distribution.

UI Resolution improvement:

Improved resolutions of some key buttons in Battle Royale in default states (no need to download HD resource pack).

Adjustment on Private room parameters:

Adjusted parameter of the option 'SLOW' of 'Safe Zone Shrink Frequency', now it is slower than before.

Trial Loadout

Trial Loadout system is now available. Players who reach Lv.20 can unlock Trial Loadout.

In Trial Loadout, players can use all the basic weapons, Scorestreaks, Perks, Operator Skills, etc. And all attachments can be equipped on weapon regardless of limitation of weapon level.

Quick Message Wheel

Added an option of 'Quick Message Wheel'. When enabled, you can tap to view the message wheel and slide to select quick messages to send.

It is OFF by default, and needs to be enabled in the settings.

It is only available in Multiplayer.

Quick Message Wheel will be soon optimized and available in Battle Royale.

Raise Upper Level Limit

Players are now available to level up to 200.

With the rising level limit, we've made a series of icons for displaying in profile.

Meanwhile, the rarity of the milestone rewards in leveling is increased. Dynamic camos will be available, and more exclusive rewards in the future!

Tournament Optimization

Players with unfinished weekly milestones will receive a ranked shield in Alcatraz - Tournament.

Member limitation of team-up in some modes of free for all style was decreased.

Spectating Optimization

  1. Added displaying of Scorestreaks obtained from airdrop in OB.

  2. Optimized the logic of switching FPP/TPP in OB.

  3. Optimized the displaying of the Perk “Persistence” in OB.

Other Updates

Added an option of 'Sync ADS FOV to Scope Zoom':

  • When enabled, the FOV value of ADS will be related to scope magnifications and it will no longer be a constant value.

Added an option of 'Network Instability DMG Loss Alert'

  • When enabled, there will be a sign displayed to remind players of error on dealing damage due to abnormal connection.

Added an option of 'Transparentize Player Near Obstruction in TPP':

Poor performance on ADS bullet spread of DR-H served a serious drag on its strength. Besides, its firing range is not enough for the majority of combat ranges. It's time for adjustment.

KN-44

The fire rate of KN-44 is lower than other weapons that are deadly in 4 shots. Low accuracy of attachments for high mobility is difficult to support mid-range combat. With the lack of benefits from headshots, we need to make a specific buff on it.

Chest damage multiplier: Increased

ADS bullet dispersion: Reduced

LK24

As an assault rifle with mid-to-low fire rate, its damage in medium range doesn't make it stand out. So, it's time to buff it.

M13

M13 performs well with the advantage brought by the high fire rate, but it's weaker in face-to-face combat due to the Get-hit flinch. So we reduced its Get-hit flinch and increased the ADS speed to make it adapt to the combat scenarios.

The time for reloading takes effect was adjusted to make it more consistent after the mag is loaded.

HVK-30

Without attachments, the performance of HVK-30 was slightly behind the rest of the other assault rifles which makes it not able to stand out when equipped with Large Caliber Mag, thus we need to buff it.

Upper arm damage multiplier: Increased (No attachment)

ASM10

Branson still shows a high ceiling of capacity under certain circumstances even after last nerf, but this high upper limit should not be at the cost of this gun with other attachments. Without Branson, ASM10 is relatively weak compared to other low-fire-rate rifles thus we need to give it some buff on firing ranges.

OWC Ranger:

OWC Marksman:

Oden

Oden is unstable and barely achieves the shortest TTK, and it's restricted by the ADS bullet spread. It's time to make it deadly in two shots.

AS VAL

The weapon firing movement overly affected the performance. So we optimized the movement performance of the recoil flinch. We also reduced the reticle flinch affected by bullet dispersion.

Arctic .50

The benefits of Arctic .50 - Stopping Power Reload was not significant enough. On the contrary, the debuff was so strong that it lost the advantages of combatting with the majority of sniper rifles.

The mobility of PKM was a bit low compared to its strong firepower, so we made an upward adjustment on its mobility.

RUS-79U is in an awkward situation because it's slightly weaker than SMGs in close range combat and not capable enough of mid-range combatting.

HS2126

HS2126 was famous for the fierce suppressive firing, but the long interval between bursts pushed it to an awkward situation. Besides, the strong vertical recoil made forgiveness less that the weapon became more difficult to use.

KSP 45

The strength of KSP 45 was adjusted back to a reasonable level after nerfing. But now it was at a disadvantage compared to strong SMG on the range, needing a buff to adjust upward.

QQ9

In the past, we nerfed the performance of popular loadouts of QQ9 in order to avoid the situation of dominant usage rate in SMG after the nerfing of Switchblade X9. We also encourage players to make more different loadouts. QQ9 needs improvement to catch CBR4 and Fennec, and attachments that are not so popular need a buff as well.

  1. That's an interesting idea. We haven't heard of this being talked about from the team just yet, but can always float the idea. There are some interesting changes planned for profiles that should come in a later season though!
  2. We love Dame and love how much the community loves Dame too! Looks like they *might* be in an upcoming BP later this year...but you didn't hear that from us 🤐
  3. Hmmm, that sounds like that isn't functioning right. We will ping the team about that and see if that is a bug or not.

Weapon balance so far has been really good, however, some of them still need further adjustments.

Multiplayer:

  • Cordite: currently, this weapon has essentially pistol level hit flinch, high initial recoil and slower ADS time, which renders it not a viable option against top weapons in class such as P90 (CBR4), Switchblade X9, and Vector (Fennec). An improvement to at least two out of three of these issues will help the weapon become a lot more viable.   • PDW-57: a well-known great weapon for the long-time players, however, recently this one cannot keep up with the current meta. Medium penetration is highly recommended, due to the same reason as the Cordite.

  • Razorback: speaking of which, I will put this one alongside the HG40 and GKS. Those three weapons are slower mobility, slower firing SMGs with a little more range compared to their peers, they also need to be somewhat more accurate, since they still have worse range than the majority of rifles. An improvement to ADS bullet spread for all three is highly recommended and appreciated. Medium wall penetration is needed, as it fires P90 (CBR4) rounds, according to BO3 wiki.

  • GKS: speaking of the GKS, this weapon also needs improvements when its comes to agility. Currently, the weapon has the same ADS speed as the M4, an assault rifle, which is a downside that makes the weapon somewhat undesirable among players. Moreover, the weapon’s recoil tends to jump a lot between shots despite being a slow firing, accurate SMG. An improvement to both of these categories is highly recommended.

  • QXR: despite being supposedly a low recoil, low damage, fast fire rate SMG (w/o Enhanced Bolt), this weapons leaves a lot to be desired, especially after an adjustment that made the weapon essentially unviable over a year ago. ADS time is essentially assault rifle level, tied with GKS. ADS bullet spread is bad, make the weapons a lot less versatile, packing with the already low damage. Recoil is simple, however, the climb rate is high, once again packing with the low damage and slow ADS time. An improvement to all of these elements is essential to make the weapon worth the grind again. Medium penetration for the weapon is also encouraged, since it fires a PDW bullet, similar to the P90.

  • AGR 556: highly appreciated for the improvements made recently with this weapon, however, its recoil also needs the same treatment.

  • RUS-79U: once again, appreciated the recent improvement. However, in order to make this weapon more competitive against the top dogs, it needs to be somewhat more consistent when its come to damage and accuracy. An improvement to both of those categories is needed. Medium wall penetration needs to be considered, as it’s a subcompact rifle (essentially a type of PDW) in real life, and it fires rifle rounds similar to the ASM10.

-MSMC: this weapon has been neglected for quite some times until recently, when it received a damage improvement. Greatly appreciated, however, an improvement to the recoil and base magazine side of the weapon is needed, since both of those issues makes the weapon not a good choice among the majority of players, including both casual and competitive players. Medium wall penetration can be considered, as it fires ammunitions that is similar to the MP7 (QXR) and P90 (CBR4).

  • Pharo: this weapon is actually a good weapon, however, the completely unpredictable recoil makes it not so desirable. To top it off, it’s a burst fire weapon, similar to the Chicom and recently KSP 45. The burst fire nature, combined with the recoil makes Pharo struggle to complete against its burst fire competitors, even after the most recent patch. A huge recoil improvement is appreciated.

  • M4LMG: this weapon is currently the worst one in its class, since it has been neglected for a long time. Improvement towards ADS bullet spread, ADS time, range as well as general mobility can make this weapon more competitive compared to its peers with wider variety of attachments.

  • Kilo Bolt-Action: currently, this weapon is also the worst in class, due to high hit flinch and inconsistent damage. An improvement to both of those issues is recommended.

  • M21 EBR: even after a couple of patches, this weapon is still relatively not competitive against its peers, or even against the Marksman rifles. A slight rework to this weapon, such as the ability to use iron sights, less recoil, and fire rate cap increases can make this weapon a viable choice against the SKS.

  • M16 (burst): recently, the M16 got an automatic mode perk, which made the weapon more viable against its peers. However, considering the franchise’s history, having a bad Burst M16 is generally not a good idea. Moreover, an improvement to the burst fire version can make this fire mode more relevant among casual players, compared to full auto weapons. An increase to base damage (similar to Chicom) is appreciated.

  • HBRa3: the Thunderbolt Sling needs to be reclassified as either a weapon perk, or an underbarrel attachment, since currently, by putting the sling on, you are completely unable to equip a stock attachment, which is highly crucial against this meta where it heavily relies on movement and strafing.

  • Peacekeeper MK2 (base): compared to the recent Krig 6 as well as several rifles, the Peacekeeper MK2 generally can no longer compete, especially with the base fire rate and range. The Well-Forged barrel needs to increase range more so that it can be a choice worth picking against the Task Force barrel. The Long Range barrel also needs it downsides toned down. And since the PK MK2 is more of a flexible AR with average time-to-kill compared to its peers, faster ADS time is also appreciated.

Excuse me for the very long comment / feedback, however due to the unusual way when it comes to player progression in this game, weapons generally need to be more viable against the top in their respective classes so that players won’t get bored of using the same weapons over and over again, resulting in less player retention.
