Greetings once again Call of Duty: Mobile community! Season 13: Winter War is nearly over and that means it is time to start talking about a brand-new season. Like we revealed last week, with the first season of 2021 we’ll be doing something a bit different. Instead of calling it Season 14, we’ll be refreshing our seasons for the new year and going back to Season 1. Take a first look below at Season 1: New Order!

That’s also a first look at the theme of this new season and starting today we’ll be rolling out information and first looks at content from Season 1 until the launch early next week. You’ll be able to find these through all of our social media channels and also through in-game announcements.
This name refresh will apply to all seasons and Ranked Series going forward in 2021. We wanted to keep it clean, easy to understand, and not quite as intimidating as seeing something like Call of Duty: Mobile Season 26: Eggplant Warfare (don’t you dare think this is a real name 😉).
We’ll be spending most of this update today showing what’s in store for the end of Season 13, but we’ll also show give you a sneak peek into our upcoming season, New Order. With all of that said, let’s jump into this update!
Here is a quick look at all of the new events starting today and a few other new ones already running:
- 01/15 - 01/26 ~ Snow Day (BR)
- 01/20 - 01/26 ~ Extra, Extra! (MP)
-
01/22 - 01/26 ~ One Last Farewell (Login Event)
-
Last Chance
- Seasonal Challenges
- Magma Eruption Mythic Drop
- Crevasse Crate
- Winter Mason Bundle
- 01/26?? ~ New Season Incoming
*All Dates UTC
As you can see, we probably have Season 1 launching somewhere on or around the January 26th haha, but just to keep the normal approach we won’t be announcing that in-game and through social channels until a little bit closer to the actual launch. We know we said this last week too, but make sure to jump on all of those last chance events before everything is gone. In particular, there is a lot to snag through various events, Monthly Login, the store, and Seasonal Challenges, like the Echo – Cold Air blueprint.
S1 New Weapons
As you may have seen over this last weekend we’ve been teasing the newest weapons coming to this next season of CODM! Many of you have already guessed correctly on one of these and we won’t be saying exactly what they are right now either, but we can confirm a few details.
This first weapon is an assault rifle that is surprisingly capable for long-range fire fights thanks to its burst fire capabilities. It packs a punch, it has the capability to be quite accurate, and it performs well as medium-to-long range assault rifle. You’ll be able to snag this one in the upcoming Battle Pass.
The second weapon coming this season is a unique one and the second of its type/class for COD: Mobile! As you may be able to tell by the design, it is purely about dominating long-range firefights but with higher rate of fire than your usual sniper rifle.
This weapon will be similar to the QXR from last season where it will be available through a variety of ways, including a Seasonal Challenge, later on in the season. Through both of those weapons you’ll be able to beef up your long-range arsenal and get ready to head to battle on the newest MP map.
S1 Multiplayer Map
You may have seen us teasing this map earlier today or you may have seen it in one of our previous test builds, but the newest map coming to CODM is a brand-new one. Like Cage from many seasons ago, this medium sized map is new to the COD universe and will be releasing in Season 1. This city has been left abandoned, so nature has come to reclaim what was once part of it.
Fight through the remains of this odd shopping district that clearly was getting ready for the holidays before it was abandoned. You’ll be hearing more about this map very soon, so keep an eye out on our social channels and the Call of Duty blogs!
S1 New Modes
We have a few mode variants and new modes coming this season! You may have already seen one in the last public test, Attack of the Undead 20, but we are happy to announce that there are also some coming to Battle Royale! Sorry, but that Battle Royale mode is not going to be revealed here. However, like many things related to the new season you’ll see that information coming soon and more about our focus on having multiple limited time BR modes ready to try for most of the season.
Extra, Extra!
One of the last events of Season 13: Winter War is live now and with more rewards to grab before everything S1 arrives next week! For this event you’ll want to play matches, take out enemies (in any mode), reach the top of MP or BR a few times, and play a few matches with friends. If you do most of those tasks you’ll snag the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) FHJ-18 – Wintergreen
- (Rare) Parachute – Snowframe
- (Epic) Thermite – Noir
Frequently Asked Questions
After the last couple of community updates we’ve had a variety of questions about S1 primarily, some of which we could respond to or can respond to now, so we’ll summarize those all here for ease of viewing and in case anyone else is curious about those same questions.
- Are new voice overs coming in Season 1? – Yes, some of your favorite operators will be getting new voice overs in this update, including Ghost. More on that next week.
- Is Season 1 military themed or fantastical? –This season is leaning more towards fantastical with a strong theme focused on future tech.
- Is Overkill coming in this update? – No, have no intention of adding this perk until we feel weapons are nearly perfectly balanced due to how much it would affect weapon balance.
- New Gunsmith updates? – No, there are aspects of this being tweaked constantly and some of that should be coming soon, but there aren’t any major changes to this system in the S1 update.
- Are CODM China Features coming to CODM Global? – Possibly, this is something we are considering on a case-by-case basis depending on what makes sense for each version.
For bugs we have a variety of fixes coming in this next update, so we’ll hold off on talking about anything specific until then. However, we are still regularly combing through reports, sending up information to our teams, and doing what we can to thank you all for everything you all do to try to make the game better through detailed bug reports and feedback.
Support Options
Lastly, we’ve mentioned multiple times how important it is to report any bugs or issues you are seeing with new updates so please make sure to reach out through any of support channels. While we do see and report bugs through community channels, it is generally only large and clearly identified issues while our player support teams can go through all kinds of reports and in a much more detailed way. Here are those main channels:
- In-game support chat
- ATVI Assist Twitter: Activision Support (@ATVIAssist) / Twitter
- ATVI Assist Facebook: Activision Assist - Facebook
- Player Support Website: Contact Us
This week we are happy to dive into a newer community area full of creative posts and highlights to see some more unique creations from this artistically gifted community! This time, we’ve landed on the artwork of SectionX_27, someone who is a part of several COD community areas and shares their work in all of those areas on top of their own social media channels.
As you can see from these great and varied designs, they’ve managed multiple different art styles and managed to really capture CODM characters in unique ways. We first saw Siren (on the left) as a fantastic direct and more realistic approach, while Park (on the right) is more chibi style but captured in with such detail and color.
We love it and they have much more over on their Instagram. Please take a look if you are interested and thank you SectionX_27 for using your talents to create fantastic CODM fan art!
We’ll be back in just a few days, at the beginning of next week, with another post ready to go for the launch of Season 1: New Order. Until then, keep your eyes peeled out for all of that sweet S1 info dropping over the weekend. Take care everyone and see you then!
