Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community! We are happy to be back this first week with of March with our last community update before Season 2 releases next week. That’s right, there is only one more week until you not only get to experience a brand-new season but one that also comes alongside a new patch/update! As you may know, every other season comes alongside a substantial in-game update.
Sometimes that may be an update focused entirely on fixes, improvements, or optimizations, but most of the time it is a big mixture of those quality-of-life aspects of a patch mixed with new content. That new content can come in the form of obvious things like new maps, perks, items, etc. or less commonly discussed changes like brand new UI, new settings, mode changes or updates, weapon or character lore/text and operator voice overs.
You’ll see all of that in less than a week, but let’s start this update by announcing Season 2: Day of Reckoning! Check out your first look at the upcoming season:

More of that coming soon, but today we also have a celebration of women and our female operators in Call of Duty: Mobile for International Women's Day (March 8th) and Women’s History Month!
That image isn’t comprehensive of all of our operators in the game, there are many others and many other variants of each. Whether it is a beloved classic like Urban Tracker or others like Artery or Siren, we are lucky to be able to have so many amazing, unique, and strong female operators in CODM!
We support and appreciate them all, and we also support and appreciate all of the women in this community. Keep supporting each other and keep making this community one that is welcoming to all!
For this update today, we are focused on a few pieces of feedback, some bugs, and a compilation of everything we’ve shared so far for Season 2! A few days ago we started our sprint towards release, so you can expect to keep seeing new posts daily on our socials with info or news about S2. Keep an eye out for those, but for now let’s jump into this week’s update!

Seasonal 1 Highlights
If you’ve been jumping in and out CODM throughout the season it may have been easy to miss some of the big-ticket items you can earn or snag through various means. Many of those are available throughout the entire season, like Seasonal Challenges, so here is a quick highlight of some of the biggest, best, and most unique offerings still available.
BR Buff
This eight-part Seasonal Challenge is still live and entirely focused around completing tasks in Battle Royale. These various tasks consist of everything from using certain BR Classes to taking out enemies with an Annihilator (available only from Airdrops). For doing all of this you can grab a bit of BP XP of course, but also the following the rewards:
- (Uncommon) Scout – Warp
- (Uncommon) FHJ-18 – Warp
- (Rare) ORV – Trance
- (Common) New Marksman Rifle - SKS
Deadly Mist
This five-part seasonal challenge went live early on in the season and you still have a chance to grab a brand-new piece of equipment! The gas grenade is a tactical grenade that slows down your enemies with debilitating smoke that also happens to provide cover, just like normal smoke. Complete a variety of tasks related to equipment, scorestreaks, and perks, and you’ll be able to snag this new tactical grenade along with the following items:
- (Uncommon) Smoke Grenade – Warp
- (Rare) Calling Card – Dystopia on TV
- (Common) Gas Grenade
This six-part seasonal challenge is your one and only way in Season 1 to grab an epic weapon blueprint through a seasonal challenge! This one is all about using different SMGs in Battle Royale and Multiplayer. Some require just using a specific setup in a match, while others may require you to get kills or win matches with certain perks equipped. It is all focused-on setups designed to keep you nimble and aggressive, and if you manage it you’ll be able to snag the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) Medic – Warp
- (Uncommon) .50 GS– Warp
- (Uncommon) KN-44 - Warp
- (Rare) Backpack – Cosmic Wave
- (Epic) GKS – Kitsune
Free Battle Pass
The whole S1 BP still available and while it may be tough to grind all the way up to tier 21 for the FR. 556, if you are the bottom it is still possible to make it! You can purchase tiers or the premium pass to get an instant boost, but you can also complete seasonal challenges and events to get some significant Battle Pass XP infusions that will help quickly push you through levels. Here are some of the main items you can earn from the free portion of the BP:
- Chicom – Synapse (tier 4)
- Antelope A20 – Light Show (tier 8)
- New Operator Skill – Gravity Vortex Gun (tier 14)
- New Weapon – FR. 556 (tier 21)
- HS2126 – Synapse (tier 31)
- Charm – Bloodiest Diamond (tier 38)
- Calling Card – Neon Horizon (tier 46)
- M4 - Synapse (tier 50)
Season 2 Teasers Recap
We’ve been slowly releasing and teasing Season 2 content over the past few weeks, around the last full community update, and there has now been a fairly significant amount of content shared. If you’ve missed any of it, here is a recap of everything we’ve shared so far!
First, we can once again confirm that Ghost’s voice (from the talented voice actor Jeff Leach) is coming in this next update! We can now officially back that up too with this announcement video:
Ghost Voice Over Comes to Season 2
On a similar note, we haven’t explained this one yet (soon) but one of our first video teasers shows both an upcoming map and also hints at something else coming to Season 2:
On the map front we have also shared and announced both of them (as of today)! The one above shows a glimpse at Shoot House, but we also revealed a new Shoot House flythrough video today too:

Additionally, we have a new version of Shipment coming! This one comes from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) as well. Take a look at that newest version of that beloved and chaotic map:

We also have posted about the two new weapons coming to next season! We can confirm that you all have already correctly guessed these, rather quickly too you sneaky and wonderful people 😉, but we stubbornly refuse to acknowledge them until this weekend when we’ll officially announce them.
This first weapon is an assault rifle and will be available through the Season 2 Battle Pass, similar to how the FR. 556 is available now with a base version in the free side of the BP and an epic blueprint in the premium side! It is not your typical assault rifle though, so we are excited to see how you all like it.
This second weapon is a sniper rifle and it will be available in a similar manner to the SKS from Season 1 (through a Seasonal Challenge). We’ll share more details about this one and the previously mentioned assault rifle in our official blog next week and our season release post!
That is it for now but keep an eye out on our social channels and in-game for more posts & info being dropped daily. We are almost there and we can’t wait to share full details about everything coming to the next season and update for CODM!
Feedback
In our last community update we summarized and referenced all of our previously discussed feedback from all of the other community updates released during Season 1, so please refer to that post for info on topics like China Version content, cheater reports, improvements, optimizations, and more.
- Damascus Feedback – We’ve seen some requests to change how the Damascus camo works and most of these seemed to be coming from the public test build. However, this one of those pieces of feedback that all we can do is ask you to please resurface it once the new update comes out because it may be something that is already being changed or what you are seeing in the test build is not final (like many things in there).
- Public Test Build – We just wanted to say a hue thank you to everyone who filled up and maxed out the most recently test build in under 24 hours! That was great to see especially since it was only available for such a short timeframe. Your participation and feedback provided from these test builds always is considered and used to help improve the full release.
- CODM Game Size – We have jumped into a few conversations lately about how after over a year of being around and with tons of content being released CODM’s file size is getting rather large. This is something we are always trying to manage but it is also an uphill battle as long as we are releasing new content every single season.
However, while our teams are working on ways to minimize the file size increases we also encourage anyone who is trying to save space to utilize the optional files/downloads function. Once we hit this next update you’ll see that pop-up again in the main lobby screen and you can select what additional maps, characters, weapons, and more you’d like to download.
Bug Reports
Just like we mentioned in feedback, we also summarized and quickly highlighted all of our responses to bug reports and issues in our last community update. We still have a few to cover here that are newer or not previously discussed, but there are a great many mentioned there so please take a look!
-
Eject Bug in BR – Thank you to those to who sent over information and potential ways to reproduce this bug in the last couple of weeks. We’ve sent that up to our team to investigate and hopefully they can find some clear causes for this long-term and seemingly random bug.
-
General BR Bugs – We are continuing to see a variety of small bugs for BR being reported in particular. Some of these seem to be only occurring for a handful of people while others are far more widespread but minor annoyances. We are gathering info on these on a case by case basis to send up to our team, but we rarely see these coming through our player support channels so please report these up to those teams too.
- Black Screen Issues – We’ve talked about this one a lot throughout the last couple of months and we known it is a big concern (and annoyance) for far too many players. We have some improvements coming in this next update that should help with this, particularly on Android, but we’ll keep monitoring and doing everything we can to make sure our teams are constantly keeping these issues in mind when working on fixes or future improvements.
- Out of Bounds Glitches – In the last couple of weeks there have been a few out of bounds glitches being reported and yes these map exploits can get you in trouble in relation to enforcement. Please refer to our Security & Enforcement Policy for more info on that and thank you to everyone who has been reporting these quickly with clear videos and screenshots.
Outside of these we have seen a few other bugs reported that we sent up and the team confirmed that they are fixed in the upcoming release! We’ll hold off on talking about more for now because of that impending update. We keep an extra keen eye on the community following any big update, so please make sure to report issues then through community posts and the support options below!
Support Options We know we have this here every update and we’ll still continue to do so since we get requests every week that our community team cannot directly assist with. Instead, you’ll need to talk to specifically to our ATVI Support teams in order to get proper assistance. Here are our main support channels:
- In-game support chat
- ATVI Assist Twitter: Activision Support (@ATVIAssist) / Twitter
- ATVI Assist Facebook: Activision Assist - Facebook
- Player Support Website: Contact Us
We are back with another community highlight this week and one that is once again focused on creative weapon designs for CODM! Poultryart (also known as CaptainPoultry in the community) uses a unique hand-drawn approach that makes their weapon and character art & concepts stand out. However, they also add so many thoughtful details that it is hard to not appreciate and support their designs.
RUS-79U - Kraken by Poultryart
Through their concept we’ve seen some stellar themes whether they are tackling unique nautical concepts like the Kraken or appropriately toxic designs like the Antivenom below. We’ve highlighted many other weapon designs through these community updates, but never something quite like these.
Locus - Antivenom by Poultryart
We hope to see plenty more from then in the future and as per usual we'll be keeping an eye out on a variety of areas for more great community made content to highlight in future updates!
Thank you all for the excitement towards everything so far and we hope you feel the same way about all things S2. We know we have said it many times already, but we cannot wait to share more about Season 2: Day of Reckoning and reveal all of that new and exciting content to you all over the next week! We’ll see you next time for the patch notes and then the release update. Until then, take care, finish that Season 1 content, and keep an eye out for the impending release!
