GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 Collaboration -

As you might have guessed from our Seasonal Trailer, Roadmap, or the variety of posts we’ve made across social media since announcing the Season, Season 7: New Vision City is an extra unique, special, and content heavy season because of our collaboration with the esteemed anime GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045. This is the most expansive collaboration we have had in Call of Duty: Mobile to date with GHOST IN THE SHELL SAC_2045 characters being available in the Battle Pass, various Draws, and Themed Event. But it doesn’t just stop there, post-humans have invaded Battle Royale in the Isolated map and now players can help Motoko and the rest of Section 9 eliminate them as well as discover why they came to Isolated in the first place. Battle Royale Updates

This year we have continuously brought improvements and new experiences to Battle Royale. Much like Season 4 and Season 6, Season 7 is bringing a new experience to BR for you all the enjoy. Instead of taking to the skies like we did last season with the Jackal, this season we are bringing you all a new BR Area with New Vision City, BR Class adjustments, and some new and unique BR Upgrades.

New Battle Royale Area – New Vision City

The ATLAS Corporation has built a brand-new area now live in Isolated. This area is in the southwest region of the map and covered with a spherical hologram that separates New Vision City from the rest of Isolated. Once you cross the outer boundary of the sphere you will be in the futuristic city with high-rise buildings, neon lights, and where it is always night. You will be able to enter New Vision City either by parachute or by vehicle and once inside you can travel to various areas within the city using an automated rail system that runs around the edge of it. There are also unique ATLAS supply drops to be found in this new locale which will refresh in permanent locations and contain powerful items. We know it will be easy to spend time in New Vision City, but be careful because there is still the circle, and this new area is far from the center of Isolated. And since there are no sitting vehicles in this area, if you need to make a daring escape you will need to spawn a vehicle at one of the vehicle spawn consoles. Battle Royale Class Adjustments

The second adjustment we made this season for Battle Royale was overhauling the BR class system. The BR classes will now be sorted into 5 categories – Disrupt, Stealth, Support, Defense, and Trackers. Each BR Class within a category will share a passive skill, which are as follows.

  • Disrupt – After activating skill, movement speed is increased.
  • Stealth – Reduces movement noises.
  • Support – Reduces recovery time.
  • Defense – Reduces explosive damage and the impact of negative statuses.
  • Trackers – Enemy footsteps can be heard from a distance.

*Yes, we know these are not what the names show as in-game now. They will be updated soon to match the above 😉*

This shared passive skill will replace the old passive skill for each BR Class. For BR classes that were effectively nerfed by replacing the old passive skill with the new group skill, the active skill will be buffed to balance the class. For example, Ninja’s original passive skill Dead Silence is stronger than the Stealth passive skill, so the active skill - Grapple Hook – can now be used more times. We will release a full tutorial video going into more details about these changes on our YouTube channel so be sure and keep an eye out for that!

Battle Royale Upgrades – Cybernetic Implants

The final major change about Battle Royale this season is the unique upgrades players can earn in New Vision City. Post-humans have invaded Isolated and will appear throughout the map, most commonly found in high resource areas. Destroying a post-human will reward you with Cyberware parts. You can then exchange these Cyberware parts at a cybernetic augmentation station to get a Cybernetic implant. There are four Cybernetic implants – Bee Scout, Smart Shotgun, Virtual Vision, and Fists of Iron and their perks are as follows:

  • Bee Scout – is a cerebral upgrade where players will have direct control over a Bee Scout drone. The Bee Scout can be used as a UAV to scout areas ahead.
  • Smart Shotgun – is a nervous system upgrade where players will have control over a Smart Shotgun. Using this upgrade will change your current weapon into a Smart Shotgun whose bullets will track enemies.
  • Virtual Vision – is an optical upgrade with a built-in identification system that will mark useful resources in the environment. Using Virtual Vision will also mark nearby exposed enemies in Red with their HP shown.
  • Fists of Iron – is a body upgrade that gives players control of two Fists of Iron. Using Fists of Iron will replace your melee weapon for melee attacks, giving players a quicker sprint, the ability to smash the ground after a jump causing splash damage, and an execution move to use on low-HP enemies.

Battle Pass

The Season 7: New Vision City Battle Pass is live now! This new pass features the operators: Blackjack, Stryker, Battery, and Motoko from GHOST IN THE SHELL SAC_2045. The weapons in the pass include the Kilo 141, Artic .50, M16, and Shorty, as well as the new weapon the Switchblade X9. We also have a new Operator Skill earnable in this season’s Battle Pass as well as many other blueprints and items. New Weapon – Switchblade X9

This Switchblade X9 is now available in tier 21 of the free Battle Pass, with the Epic version – Switchblade X9 – Kyoto Steel – available at tier 50 of the premium Battle Pass! Originally from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 the Switchblade X9 has come to Call of Duty: Mobile. The Switchblade X9 is a light-weight SMG with high mobility and low recoil for superior handling, basically the perfect weapon for all you fans of playing in a run-and-gun style.

Recommended builds include: Hip Fire Builds – become ultra-deadly at close range while maintaining maximum speed, Close-Range Builds – to increase ADS mobility to lock down any close range quarters on a map, and Mid-Range Builds – minimize bullet spread to win mid-range encounters. To see these recommended builds and more details about the Switchblade X9 check out the tutorial video below! Also, a third version of the new Switchblade X9 will be made available later in the season…more info on that in the Mythic section later in the update.

New Operator Skill – Claw

Available at tier 14 in the free version of the Battle Pass is the new Operator Skill: Claw! Using this skill will turn your weapon into a high fire-rate weapon to use against your enemies for as long as the skill lasts or until you run out of ammo. Each use of Claw gives you 96 bullets, with each shot scattering two bullets. As with most weapons, hip-firing will give you a wider spread of your shots, while ADS will keep your shots more accurate. Claw’s bullets will also bounce off of hard surfaces like the ground and walls, which can then ricochet and eliminate enemies. We will be posting a full tutorial on our YouTube channel about the Claw so be sure and keep an eye out!

Seasonal Challenges

Like any new season, Season 7 brings a new set of Seasonal Challenges for you all to complete to earn Epic rewards. Below we will cover the first two Challenges of Season 7, but be sure and keep an eye out for info on the rest in future Community Updates.

Hipfire Heroes

Available now, the first seasonal challenge will have you showing off your SMG skills with a variety of tasks focused on playing MP and using SMGs, including the new Switchblade X9. If you run-and-gun your way through this challenge you will earn yourself 14,000 Battle Pass XP as well as the following:

  • Charm – Badger (Rare)
  • Frame – Grumpy Snowball (Rare)
  • Tengu – Black Gold SHARD (Epic)
  • MAC-10 – Evil Kitty (Epic)

New Vision City Champion

Launching 8/11 UTC is the second challenge of the season – New Vision City Champion. As the name suggests, this challenge’s tasks are all about BR. From landing in New Vision City to getting top 3 places, finishing this challenge will truly crown you the champion of New Vision City. It will also earn you 11,000 Battle Pass XP and the following:

  • Tengu – Black Gold SHARD (Epic)
  • Special Ops 5 – Silver Bamboo (Rare)
  • 1 CP First Pull Lucky Box Coupon

Themed Event – Togusa’s Survey

Launching with the start of the season is our Season 7 Themed Event – Togusa’s Survey. Togusa is preparing for a final showdown battle with the post-humans and needs your help. Help Togusa gather information to aid in the battle against post-humans by completing tasks in MP and BR, as well as unique Battle Royale Missions including racing the all-new Tachikoma. The themed event will also have a Training Guide area for players to learn more about the new Cybernetic abilities available in BR. Completing the themed event will earn you the following and more:

  • Calling Card – Charged by the System (Legendary)

SAC_2045 Mythic Drop

Coming to Call of Duty: Mobile on 8/6 UTC, is the first draw of the season - the SAC_2045 Mythic Drop. This drop contains the Epic Motoko – GHOST and the Mythic Switchblade X9 – Neon Legend. Motoko is leading the charge in eliminating the post-humans from Isolated and you can do so as the base Motoko available in the free Battle Pass this season, or Motoko – GHOST. Motoko – GHOST has more tactical gear and is dressed ready for battle, including her goggles which players will be able to toggle on and off. And the best way to defeat post-humans? Well, with the mythic Switchblade X9 – Neon Legend of course.

The Switchblade X9 – Neon Legend has three neon death effects, exclusive iron sights, an exclusive weapon inspection effect, and most notably TRACER ROUNDS. This will be the first weapon in Call of Duty: Mobile to have tracer rounds! The weapon skin will also change from the base coloring to yellow, to green, to blue, for getting 2, 4, and 6 eliminations respectively.

Mythic Updates

This season we have made some major adjustments to Mythic weapons too! As mentioned above, we’ve added tracer rounds to our latest Mythic, making it the first weapon in CODM to have this feature. Now you can blast your enemies away in colorized style! The second major change we made to Mythics is how they are upgraded. The upgrade path is now split into only 5 levels which are broken down below with some of the rewards each level offers!

  • Level 1 ~ Core Reward – exclusive mythic attachments. Extra Reward – exclusive sticker.
  • Level 2 ~ Core Reward – exclusive death effects. Extra Reward – exclusive charm.
  • Level 3 ~ Core Reward – improved effects on weapon. Extra Reward – exclusive calling card and medal frame.
  • Level 4 ~ Core Reward – tracer bullets. Extra Reward – exclusive elimination report effect.
  • Level 5 ~ Core Reward – improved effects on weapon. Extra Reward – ability to share Mythic.

The third major change we made to Mythics is introducing the share feature. Now, once you have maxed out a Mythic weapon, you have the option to share it with teammates in an MP match. This can only be done in a limited amount of time near the start of the match so be ready to share your Mythic if you are planning to. The number of times you can share a Mythic weapon per round is equal to the number of maxed-out Mythics you own. If you are lucky enough to have a teammate who is sharing their mythic, picking it up will replace whatever weapon you currently have equipped.

Ranked Updates

A new Ranked Series is upon us, Ranked Series 4: Neko Invasion begins today! Like the other Ranked Series, there will be Ranked rewards for leveling up in both Ranked Multiplayer and Ranked Battle Royale which you can see below:

In addition to the new rewards and new season for Ranked, we have made a variety of adjustments and improvements to the mode! The first major adjustment is when a player reaches Grandmaster rank in either MP or BR, they will receive a Rank XP Bonus for the other mode that they are not Grandmaster in. This XP bonus will last until you reach Grandmaster in the other mode and will decrease in bonus value the higher rank you get. Players can also now earn a daily reward of bonus Rank XP with a “Daily First Win”. This will be awarded for your first win of the day for a varied selection of modes that will be refreshed daily.

We have also divided up the map playing pool in Ranked into two categories – Seasonal Maps and General Maps. Seasonal Maps will include newer maps recently added into Call of Duty: Mobile as well as older CODM maps that have been optimized for Ranked. General Maps will be the same pool of maps from previous seasons. Players can unlock Seasonal Maps when they get to Pro Rank. Playing in the Seasonal Maps pool will also grant teams. Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7: “New Vision City”

New Theme and Rewards

New Ranked Match rewards are available.

New Features

Grand Master Bonus

Once players reach Grand Master III in either BR or MP, they will receive an XP bonus in the other lower Ranked MP or BR before leveling up to Grand Master.

Daily First Win

Receiving the first win of the day in some modes will grant the player Rank XP.

Modes with first-win bonuses refresh daily.

Multi-Select Bonus

Players can earn extra Rank XP bonus by completing Ranked Matches in various modes.

Newly Added Mode in the MP Ranked Match

FTL is now available in the MP Ranked Match for players ranked Rookie or higher.

Map Pool Update in the Ranked Match

In the new season, the map pool of Ranked Match will be divided into two pools: the Generic Map Pool and the Seasonal New Map Pool. Players ranked Pro or higher may randomly select maps from either map pools, while players ranked below Pro can only choose the maps from the generic map pool.

  • Generic Map Pool: Composed of maps with stable player experience and balanced performance, accessible for players of all Ranks.
  • Seasonal New Map Pool: Composed of new maps and optimized existing maps, accessible for players at the Pro Rank or higher.

New Map Challenge Protection

For players that get randomly queued into a new map pool and end up losing the ranked match, the new map challenge will trigger a protection where the losing team can gain Rank XP bonus.

Other Optimization

Adjusted the weight of performance score and result score.

The settlement of Rank XP has been modified to increase the proportion of performance points and decrease the proportion of result points.

Optimized team-up ranked match experience.

We have improved the balance of team ranked matches and reduced the queue time to enter the match.

Ranked Match Balance Optimization

Players at Legendary Rank will not join a match with players at Master Rank in the single ranked match.

We have added the 2022 S1 and S2 rank icons.

Limited-Time Offer for Tournament Seasonal Camos

Tournament Seasonal Camo Crates (Selectable) from previous Seasons are available for a limited period of time in the Tournament Milestone.

Players can now choose Tournament Seasonal Camos from the previous Seasons.

  1. Update in the Map Pool of the Ranked Match

Team Deathmatch:

We have removed a map where engagement paths were overly complicated and presented unnecessary difficulty for players to gain a head start. We will subsequently reevaluate and optimize the maps.

Removed Map: Scrapyard 2019

New Maps Added: Favela, Apocalypse, and Summit.

Search & Destroy:

We have removed some maps with poor player engagement experience and unnecessary learning pain points. We will subsequently reevaluate and optimize these maps.

Removed Map: Hardhat and Vacant.

Newly Added Map: Favela, Summit and Takeoff.

Domination:

We have removed some maps where the pacing of gameplay was confusing and slow. We will subsequently reevaluate and optimize these maps.

Removed Map: Hardhat, Vacant and Hacienda.

Newly Added Map: Favela and Nuketown.

Hardpoint:

We have removed some maps with unnecessary learning complexity and unbalanced objectives. We will subsequently reevaluate and optimize these maps.

Removed Map: Hardhat, Scrapyard 2019, and Vacant.

Newly Added Map: Apocalypse and Raid.

  1. New Mythic Share Feature

New Feature: Mythic Share

This feature allows players to share their fully leveled Mythic weapons with their teammates using Mythic weapon projections.

Feature Introduction

  1. When the Mythic weapon reaches the highest level, the Mythic weapon share feature will be unlocked for players to share max-level Mythic weapons with their teammates.

  2. The number of Mythic weapon projections that a player can share per round equals the number of max-level Mythic weapons the player owns.

Mythic Weapon Projection Features

  1. Players may share the projection at the beginning of each round.

  2. Mythic weapon projections will directly replace your teammate's current primary weapon, and can be dropped up to three times.

  3. When the Mythic weapon projection is dropped in any form, the appearance will disappear and only the basic weapon shape and attachments will be retained.

  4. Mythic weapon projection supports multiple MP modes. Mythic Share-related features can be turned on/off in settings.

  5. New Operator Skill

Claw

Claw is a lethal firearm with ricochet ballistic rounds, rapid rate of fire and rapid-fire spread shot.

  1. New Features

A new weapon comparison system is now available, displaying more comprehensive and accurate information to help players select their own loadout.

Vehicles in the Ground War now support camo equipment. The vehicle camo update in BR loadout will also sync with Ground War.

6. Other Update

  • We have added a scorestreak bonus for the in-game medals to enhance the feedback of medal achievements.
  • We have added a new throwing action for the Trophy System. The throwing trajectory has changed, but it will not affect the maximum throwing distance.
  • We have made some optimizations to the OB system.

GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 Themed Event Gameplay - the post-humans have invaded Isolated and Public Security Section 9 comes to end the disorder.

By participating in the Themed Event, players may go to Isolated to explore the clues left behind by post-human invasion. Players will meet Motoko and other members of the Public Security Section 9 in the new area of New Vision City. Together, let’s rise against the post-humans and put an end to the new era of war.

Hacked Terminals and Rampaging GRUNT-52

With the invasion on Isolated, post-humans hacked into the terminals and took control of the majority of the AI. Soldiers that were left behind to handle the chaotic situation. Clearing the terminal virus and killing the rebellious robots will provide players the chance to receive cyberware parts.

Combat Readiness Center and Cyberware Installation

In order to fight against the post-human invasion, Public Security Section 9 and Atlas Corporation have built a Combat Readiness Center in Isolated. Players may exchange Cyberware parts for unique abilities. There are four options:

  1. Bee Scout: Upgrade the Brain to control the Bee Scout to scan and detect enemies. The Bee Scout can also hack an enemy's brain to retrieve their real-time location.

  2. Smart Shotgun: Upgrade the Neuro System to use the Smart Shotgun to track enemies who are within tracking range.

  3. Virtual Vision: Upgrade the Body to gain the ability to sprint and jump higher. You will be able to use Fist of Iron to down an enemy.

  4. Fist of Iron: Upgrade your Optical System to enhance the ability to perceive information by locating nearby high-tier loot and enemy shooters.

PS: During a match, the Cyberware installation cannot be reversed once it is redeemed, however, it will remain with the player even after the player revives.

Special Revive Effect

Public Security Section 9 brings a new 3D printing technology to help soldiers return to the battlefield. This technology will not be affected by the post-humans’ network.

Storyline Combat

Through the players' assistance, Motoko and her team have found a way to defeat the post-humans. Players, let’s fight alongside Motoko and the Public Security Section 9 team to the very end!

1. Adjustment on Passive Skill of Classes

In the BR mode, each class has a unique passive skill. However, the strength of these passive skills vary greatly and can influence players’ decisions on choosing certain classes.

We have adjusted the passive skills of the classes in this version so that players can have more options.

2. Other Updates

  • BR Prop Hunt is available now in the customized room!
  • The settlement of Rank XP has been modified to increase the proportion of performance points and decrease the proportion of result points.
  • We have added a custom interface for the kill information HUD above the crosshair, with adjustable size, position, and transparency.

Comprehensive Update

1. Seasonal Camo Update

Seasonal camos, earned from Tournaments can now be applied to blueprints!The coverage areas for seasonal camo are different from completionist camos.

2. Comprehensive Optimization

  • Optimized the arm swing frequency of sprinting animation. The arm swing frequency of some heavy weapons has been sped up without affecting the actual sprinting speed.
  • Optimized the performance of the client-server simulation. The performance of teammates’ and enemies’ movement animations will be more accurate and smoother.
  • Optimized the hip fire action performance of the following weapons: DL Q33, Locus, Outlaw, Koshka, Kilo Bolt-Action, SP-R 208, and MK2.
  • Optimized the holding and firing performance of AK-47, AK117, and RUS-79U.
  • Optimized the crosshairs of the high-magnification lens. Now the crosshairs are more detailed and realistic in ADS under the realistic scope.

CBR4 Nerfed

CBR4 is an SMG equipped with strong penetrating 5.7mm bullets. We initially hoped that CBR4 could exert a stronger dominance in the middle and close-range combat where it can assist players to deal with enemies behind cover with ease. However, this weapon turned out to be well-rounded in all kinds of situations with its high damage and damage multiplier, high penetration, and excellent mobility and stability.

We have reserved its penetration and stability, and adjusted the damage multiplier and ADS accuracy. This will require players to have higher aiming ability. Its sprint-to-fire is also adjusted to the average level of SMG.

ADS Bullet Spread: Increased

MAC-10 Nerfed

MAC-10 is an SMG with high rate of fire and superior mobility. Even with the previous nerf, MAC-10 still remains dominant at close range combat. Corner combats or combats in narrow alleys were exceptionally difficult situations for opponents to handle.

As we do not wish to adjust the mobility of this gun, this adjustment will only involve its shooting range and get-hit flinch. Adds a layer of We hope with the following changes, players will think twice while selecting this gun in some scenarios and they also need to control the engagement distance more accurately.

PP19 Bizon Buffed

Although the recoil of PPSh-41 was adjusted before, its horizontal recoil is still on the heavy side, making it hard to compete against the mainstream SMGs. Therefore, we have increased its damage-on-hit to make up for its heavier horizontal recoil.

QQ9 Buffed

QQ9 used to be absolutely dominant at medium and close combat range. However, in the current version, the theoretical TTK at close range is only 10ms lower in comparison to the mainstream SMG. Therefore, we have increased its damage when hitting an opponent, as well as the probability of four shots to kill at medium and close range.

We have optimized its reload animation and slightly reduced its reload and empty reload time.

ASM10 is not a high fault-tolerance weapon. Its heavy recoil and firing animation interfere with the aiming, making it a difficult weapon for players to control. It is time to adjust these downsides.

KN-44 Buffed

KN-44 was supposed to be a weapon with a high gameplay potential, however, it is limited by its current damage multiplier. Its horizontal recoil is also difficult to control, which limits its stability and overall strength.

3. Battle Royale

Passive Class Skills Adjustments

In previous versions, each class skill has a different passive skill, but these passive skills vary in terms of strength. For example, the passive skill of the Ninja class can reduce the footstep sound, which can provide great assistance to players in combat. The passive skill of the Hacker class, on the other hand, is only helpful when going against other Hacker classes.

Many players choose the Ninja class more to reduce the footstep sound, while others choose the Medic class just to reduce time required for healing. All these options limit the diversity of classes to some extent.

In order to provide a more diverse experience and choice, we are introducing a new system - the Profession System.

Class Profession

We have retained the passive skill of each class, and all classes will also share their profession-featured passive skill. We hope these adjustments can help the passive skills be more compatible with the active skills.

We have divided the classes into 5 professions:

Disruptor: After activating the skill, movement speed is increased for a period of time.

Include: Trickster, Trap Master, Smoke Bomber, Rewind, and Hacker.

Assassin: Reduces movement noises.

Include: Ninja, Poltergeist, and Pumped.

Rebound: Reduces time required for healing and bringing back knocked down teammates.

Include: Medic and Refitter.

Fortress: Reduces explosive damage and the duration of negative effects.

Include: Defender, Desperado, and Spotter.

Observer: Enemy footsteps can be heard from a distance.

Include: Scout, Clown, Mechanic, and Airborne.

Note: Unless stated otherwise, the passive skills above are all additional effects that do not affect the original passive skills.

Ninja Class:

As Ninja class is no longer exclusive to powerful passive skills, we have enhanced its mobility as a compensation.

Charge Number of Times: Increased

Trickster:

Trickster class no longer provides support for players to hear footsteps from a greater distance. Instead, it will provide a movement speed buff after activating the skill.

Airborne:

The Airborne class is a beneficiary in this revision for it gained an additional passive skill. However, its long charge time makes it incompatible with the current fast pace of combat. Therefore, we have reduced its charging time.

Charging Time: Reduced

Poltergeist:

In this revision, the Poltergeist class no longer gives movement speed buff after activating the skill. Instead, it will have a powerful ability to reduce the sound of footsteps. We think this passive skill is more suitable for the position.

Trap Master:

In this revision, the original passive is replaced with the movement speed buffs after activating the skill.

As compensation, the original passive skill - speed buff charges - are converted into a base value increase instead.

Charging Time: Reduced

Smoke Bomber:

In this revision, Smoke Bomber will no longer receive a movement speed buff after taking damage. It will receive the movement speed buff after activating the skill instead.

Refitter:

In this revision, the Refitter class is a beneficiary as it gains an additional passive skill.

Currently, the damage reduction of the Refitter requires multiple releases to stack up to its maximum effect, making it difficult to keep up with the current pace of combat. We have increased the number of charging times to create more flexibility.

Number of Charging Times: Increased

Spotter:

In this revision, we have replaced the original passive with a reduction in explosive damage and duration of negative effects.

We hope that the new passive can help the Spotter class combo up with its own active skill.

Rewind:

In this revision, we removed its original passive and replaced it with a movement speed buff after activating the skill.

Advanced Attachment – Horizontal Recoil Suppression Attachment (Legendary) – Nerfed

This attachment increases the ADS movement speed greatly, which brings abnormal speed.

ADS Movement Speed Multiplier: Reduced

GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 Collaboration -

As you might have guessed from our Seasonal Trailer, Roadmap, or the variety of posts we’ve made across social media since announcing the Season, Season 7: New Vision City is an extra unique, special, and content heavy season because of our collaboration with the esteemed anime GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045. This is the most expansive collaboration we have had in Call of Duty: Mobile to date with GHOST IN THE SHELL SAC_2045 characters being available in the Battle Pass, various Draws, and Themed Event. But it doesn’t just stop there, post-humans have invaded Battle Royale in the Isolated map and now players can help Motoko and the rest of Section 9 eliminate them as well as discover why they came to Isolated in the first place. Battle Royale Updates

This year we have continuously brought improvements and new experiences to Battle Royale. Much like Season 4 and Season 6, Season 7 is bringing a new experience to BR for you all the enjoy. Instead of taking to the skies like we did last season with the Jackal, this season we are bringing you all a new BR Area with New Vision City, BR Class adjustments, and some new and unique BR Upgrades.

New Battle Royale Area – New Vision City

The ATLAS Corporation has built a brand-new area now live in Isolated. This area is in the southwest region of the map and covered with a spherical hologram that separates New Vision City from the rest of Isolated. Once you cross the outer boundary of the sphere you will be in the futuristic city with high-rise buildings, neon lights, and where it is always night. You will be able to enter New Vision City either by parachute or by vehicle and once inside you can travel to various areas within the city using an automated rail system that runs around the edge of it. There are also unique ATLAS supply drops to be found in this new locale which will refresh in permanent locations and contain powerful items. We know it will be easy to spend time in New Vision City, but be careful because there is still the circle, and this new area is far from the center of Isolated. And since there are no sitting vehicles in this area, if you need to make a daring escape you will need to spawn a vehicle at one of the vehicle spawn consoles. Battle Royale Class Adjustments

The second adjustment we made this season for Battle Royale was overhauling the BR class system. The BR classes will now be sorted into 5 categories – Disrupt, Stealth, Support, Defense, and Trackers. Each BR Class within a category will share a passive skill, which are as follows.

  • Disrupt – After activating skill, movement speed is increased.
  • Stealth – Reduces movement noises.
  • Support – Reduces recovery time.
  • Defense – Reduces explosive damage and the impact of negative statuses.
  • Trackers – Enemy footsteps can be heard from a distance.

*Yes, we know these are not what the names show as in-game now. They will be updated soon to match the above 😉*

This shared passive skill will replace the old passive skill for each BR Class. For BR classes that were effectively nerfed by replacing the old passive skill with the new group skill, the active skill will be buffed to balance the class. For example, Ninja’s original passive skill Dead Silence is stronger than the Stealth passive skill, so the active skill - Grapple Hook – can now be used more times. We will release a full tutorial video going into more details about these changes on our YouTube channel so be sure and keep an eye out for that!

Battle Royale Upgrades – Cybernetic Implants

The final major change about Battle Royale this season is the unique upgrades players can earn in New Vision City. Post-humans have invaded Isolated and will appear throughout the map, most commonly found in high resource areas. Destroying a post-human will reward you with Cyberware parts. You can then exchange these Cyberware parts at a cybernetic augmentation station to get a Cybernetic implant. There are four Cybernetic implants – Bee Scout, Smart Shotgun, Virtual Vision, and Fists of Iron and their perks are as follows:

  • Bee Scout – is a cerebral upgrade where players will have direct control over a Bee Scout drone. The Bee Scout can be used as a UAV to scout areas ahead.
  • Smart Shotgun – is a nervous system upgrade where players will have control over a Smart Shotgun. Using this upgrade will change your current weapon into a Smart Shotgun whose bullets will track enemies.
  • Virtual Vision – is an optical upgrade with a built-in identification system that will mark useful resources in the environment. Using Virtual Vision will also mark nearby exposed enemies in Red with their HP shown.
  • Fists of Iron – is a body upgrade that gives players control of two Fists of Iron. Using Fists of Iron will replace your melee weapon for melee attacks, giving players a quicker sprint, the ability to smash the ground after a jump causing splash damage, and an execution move to use on low-HP enemies.

This Switchblade X9 is now available in tier 21 of the free Battle Pass, with the Epic version – Switchblade X9 – Kyoto Steel – available at tier 50 of the premium Battle Pass! Originally from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 the Switchblade X9 has come to Call of Duty: Mobile. The Switchblade X9 is a light-weight SMG with high mobility and low recoil for superior handling, basically the perfect weapon for all you fans of playing in a run-and-gun style.

Recommended builds include: Hip Fire Builds – become ultra-deadly at close range while maintaining maximum speed, Close-Range Builds – to increase ADS mobility to lock down any close range quarters on a map, and Mid-Range Builds – minimize bullet spread to win mid-range encounters. New Operator Skill – Claw

Available at tier 14 in the free version of the Battle Pass is the new Operator Skill: Claw! Using this skill will turn your weapon into a high fire-rate weapon to use against your enemies for as long as the skill lasts or until you run out of ammo. Each use of Claw gives you 96 bullets, with each shot scattering two bullets. As with most weapons, hip-firing will give you a wider spread of your shots, while ADS will keep your shots more accurate. Claw’s bullets will also bounce off of hard surfaces like the ground and walls, which can then ricochet and eliminate enemies. We will be posting a full tutorial on our YouTube channel about the Claw so be sure and keep an eye out!

Seasonal Challenges

Like any new season, Season 7 brings a new set of Seasonal Challenges for you all to complete to earn Epic rewards. Below we will cover the first two Challenges of Season 7, but be sure and keep an eye out for info on the rest in future Community Updates.

Hipfire Heroes

Available now, the first seasonal challenge will have you showing off your SMG skills with a variety of tasks focused on playing MP and using SMGs, including the new Switchblade X9. If you run-and-gun your way through this challenge you will earn yourself 14,000 Battle Pass XP as well as the following:

  • Charm – Badger (Rare)
  • Frame – Grumpy Snowball (Rare)
  • Tengu – Black Gold SHARD (Epic)

Coming to Call of Duty: Mobile on 8/6 UTC, is the first draw of the season - the SAC_2045 Mythic Drop. This drop contains the Epic Motoko – GHOST and the Mythic Switchblade X9 – Neon Legend. Motoko is leading the charge in eliminating the post-humans from Isolated and you can do so as the base Motoko available in the free Battle Pass this season, or Motoko – GHOST. Motoko – GHOST has more tactical gear and is dressed ready for battle, including her goggles which players will be able to toggle on and off. And the best way to defeat post-humans? Well, with the mythic Switchblade X9 – Neon Legend of course.

The Switchblade X9 – Neon Legend has three neon death effects, exclusive iron sights, an exclusive weapon inspection effect, and most notably TRACER ROUNDS. This will be the first weapon in Call of Duty: Mobile to have tracer rounds! The weapon skin will also change from the base coloring to yellow, to green, to blue, for getting 2, 4, and 6 eliminations respectively.

Mythic Updates

This season we have made some major adjustments to Mythic weapons too! As mentioned above, we’ve added tracer rounds to our latest Mythic, making it the first weapon in CODM to have this feature. Now you can blast your enemies away in colorized style! The second major change we made to Mythics is how they are upgraded. The upgrade path is now split into only 5 levels which are broken down below with some of the rewards each level offers!

  • Level 1 ~ Core Reward – exclusive mythic attachments. Extra Reward – exclusive sticker.
  • Level 2 ~ Core Reward – exclusive death effects. Extra Reward – exclusive charm.
  • Level 3 ~ Core Reward – improved effects on weapon. Extra Reward – exclusive calling card and medal frame.
  • Level 4 ~ Core Reward – tracer bullets. Extra Reward – exclusive elimination report effect.
  • Level 5 ~ Core Reward – improved effects on weapon. Extra Reward – ability to share Mythic.

The third major change we made to Mythics is introducing the share feature. Now, once you have maxed out a Mythic weapon, you have the option to share it with teammates in an MP match. This can only be done in a limited amount of time near the start of the match so be ready to share your Mythic if you are planning to. The number of times you can share a Mythic weapon per round is equal to the number of maxed-out Mythics you own. If you are lucky enough to have a teammate who is sharing their mythic, picking it up will replace whatever weapon you currently have equipped.

Ranked Updates

A new Ranked Series is upon us, Ranked Series 4: Neko Invasion begins today! Like the other Ranked Series, there will be Ranked rewards for leveling up in both Ranked Multiplayer and Ranked Battle Royale which you can see below:

In addition to the new rewards and new season for Ranked, we have made a variety of adjustments and improvements to the mode! The first major adjustment is when a player reaches Grandmaster rank in either MP or BR, they will receive a Rank XP Bonus for the other mode that they are not Grandmaster in. This XP bonus will last until you reach Grandmaster in the other mode and will decrease in bonus value the higher rank you get. Players can also now earn a daily reward of bonus Rank XP with a “Daily First Win”. This will be awarded for your first win of the day for a varied selection of modes that will be refreshed daily.

We have also divided up the map playing pool in Ranked into two categories – Seasonal Maps and General Maps. Seasonal Maps will include newer maps recently added into Call of Duty: Mobile as well as older CODM maps that have been optimized for Ranked. General Maps will be the same pool of maps from previous seasons. Players can unlock Seasonal Maps when they get to Pro Rank. Playing in the Seasonal Maps pool will also grant teams. New Features

Grand Master Bonus

Once players reach Grand Master III in either BR or MP, they will receive an XP bonus in the other lower Ranked MP or BR before leveling up to Grand Master.

Daily First Win

Receiving the first win of the day in some modes will grant the player Rank XP.

Modes with first-win bonuses refresh daily.

Multi-Select Bonus

Players can earn extra Rank XP bonus by completing Ranked Matches in various modes.

Newly Added Mode in the MP Ranked Match

FTL is now available in the MP Ranked Match for players ranked Rookie or higher.

Map Pool Update in the Ranked Match

In the new season, the map pool of Ranked Match will be divided into two pools: the Generic Map Pool and the Seasonal New Map Pool. Players ranked Pro or higher may randomly select maps from either map pools, while players ranked below Pro can only choose the maps from the generic map pool.

  • Generic Map Pool: Composed of maps with stable player experience and balanced performance, accessible for players of all Ranks.
  • Seasonal New Map Pool: Composed of new maps and optimized existing maps, accessible for players at the Pro Rank or higher.

New Map Challenge Protection

For players that get randomly queued into a new map pool and end up losing the ranked match, the new map challenge will trigger a protection where the losing team can gain Rank XP bonus.

Other Optimization

Adjusted the weight of performance score and result score.

The settlement of Rank XP has been modified to increase the proportion of performance points and decrease the proportion of result points.

Optimized team-up ranked match experience.

We have improved the balance of team ranked matches and reduced the queue time to enter the match.

We have removed a map where engagement paths were overly complicated and presented unnecessary difficulty for players to gain a head start. We will subsequently reevaluate and optimize the maps.

Search & Destroy:

We have removed some maps with poor player engagement experience and unnecessary learning pain points. We will subsequently reevaluate and optimize these maps.

  1. New Mythic Share Feature

New Feature: Mythic Share

This feature allows players to share their fully leveled Mythic weapons with their teammates using Mythic weapon projections.

Feature Introduction

  1. When the Mythic weapon reaches the highest level, the Mythic weapon share feature will be unlocked for players to share max-level Mythic weapons with their teammates.

  2. The number of Mythic weapon projections that a player can share per round equals the number of max-level Mythic weapons the player owns.

Mythic Weapon Projection Features

  1. Players may share the projection at the beginning of each round.

  2. Mythic weapon projections will directly replace your teammate's current primary weapon, and can be dropped up to three times.

  3. When the Mythic weapon projection is dropped in any form, the appearance will disappear and only the basic weapon shape and attachments will be retained.

  4. Mythic weapon projection supports multiple MP modes. Mythic Share-related features can be turned on/off in settings.

  5. New Operator Skill

Claw

Claw is a lethal firearm with ricochet ballistic rounds, rapid rate of fire and rapid-fire spread shot.

  1. New Features

A new weapon comparison system is now available, displaying more comprehensive and accurate information to help players select their own loadout.

Vehicles in the Ground War now support camo equipment. The vehicle camo update in BR loadout will also sync with Ground War.

6. Other Update

  • We have added a scorestreak bonus for the in-game medals to enhance the feedback of medal achievements.
  • We have added a new throwing action for the Trophy System. The throwing trajectory has changed, but it will not affect the maximum throwing distance.
  • We have made some optimizations to the OB system.

Battle Royale Update

New Vision City is now available in Isolated.

Welcome to New Vision City, a cyber city ATLAS Corporation built on the Isolated islands.

In New Vision City, beautiful neon lights, ziplines, and the Core sit in Central Square. Come explore this city, where mysteries are yours to uncover.

GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 Themed Event Gameplay - the post-humans have invaded Isolated and Public Security Section 9 comes to end the disorder.

By participating in the Themed Event, players may go to Isolated to explore the clues left behind by post-human invasion. Players will meet Motoko and other members of the Public Security Section 9 in the new area of New Vision City. Together, let’s rise against the post-humans and put an end to the new era of war.

Hacked Terminals and Rampaging GRUNT-52

With the invasion on Isolated, post-humans hacked into the terminals and took control of the majority of the AI. Soldiers that were left behind to handle the chaotic situation. Clearing the terminal virus and killing the rebellious robots will provide players the chance to receive cyberware parts.

Combat Readiness Center and Cyberware Installation

In order to fight against the post-human invasion, Public Security Section 9 and Atlas Corporation have built a Combat Readiness Center in Isolated. Players may exchange Cyberware parts for unique abilities. There are four options:

  1. Bee Scout: Upgrade the Brain to control the Bee Scout to scan and detect enemies. The Bee Scout can also hack an enemy's brain to retrieve their real-time location.

  2. Smart Shotgun: Upgrade the Neuro System to use the Smart Shotgun to track enemies who are within tracking range.

  3. Virtual Vision: Upgrade the Body to gain the ability to sprint and jump higher. You will be able to use Fist of Iron to down an enemy.

  4. Fist of Iron: Upgrade your Optical System to enhance the ability to perceive information by locating nearby high-tier loot and enemy shooters.

PS: During a match, the Cyberware installation cannot be reversed once it is redeemed, however, it will remain with the player even after the player revives.

Special Revive Effect

Public Security Section 9 brings a new 3D printing technology to help soldiers return to the battlefield. This technology will not be affected by the post-humans’ network.

Storyline Combat

Through the players' assistance, Motoko and her team have found a way to defeat the post-humans. Players, let’s fight alongside Motoko and the Public Security Section 9 team to the very end!

In the BR mode, each class has a unique passive skill. However, the strength of these passive skills vary greatly and can influence players’ decisions on choosing certain classes.

We have adjusted the passive skills of the classes in this version so that players can have more options.

2. Other Updates

  • BR Prop Hunt is available now in the customized room!
  • The settlement of Rank XP has been modified to increase the proportion of performance points and decrease the proportion of result points.
  • We have added a custom interface for the kill information HUD above the crosshair, with adjustable size, position, and transparency.

Seasonal camos, earned from Tournaments can now be applied to blueprints!The coverage areas for seasonal camo are different from completionist camos.

2. Comprehensive Optimization

  • Optimized the arm swing frequency of sprinting animation. The arm swing frequency of some heavy weapons has been sped up without affecting the actual sprinting speed.
  • Optimized the performance of the client-server simulation. The performance of teammates’ and enemies’ movement animations will be more accurate and smoother.
  • Optimized the hip fire action performance of the following weapons: DL Q33, Locus, Outlaw, Koshka, Kilo Bolt-Action, SP-R 208, and MK2.
  • Optimized the holding and firing performance of AK-47, AK117, and RUS-79U.

CBR4 is an SMG equipped with strong penetrating 5.7mm bullets. We initially hoped that CBR4 could exert a stronger dominance in the middle and close-range combat where it can assist players to deal with enemies behind cover with ease. However, this weapon turned out to be well-rounded in all kinds of situations with its high damage and damage multiplier, high penetration, and excellent mobility and stability.

We have reserved its penetration and stability, and adjusted the damage multiplier and ADS accuracy. This will require players to have higher aiming ability. Its sprint-to-fire is also adjusted to the average level of SMG.

MAC-10 Nerfed

MAC-10 is an SMG with high rate of fire and superior mobility. Even with the previous nerf, MAC-10 still remains dominant at close range combat. Corner combats or combats in narrow alleys were exceptionally difficult situations for opponents to handle.

As we do not wish to adjust the mobility of this gun, this adjustment will only involve its shooting range and get-hit flinch. QQ9 Buffed

QQ9 used to be absolutely dominant at medium and close combat range. However, in the current version, the theoretical TTK at close range is only 10ms lower in comparison to the mainstream SMG. Therefore, we have increased its damage when hitting an opponent, as well as the probability of four shots to kill at medium and close range.

KN-44 Buffed

Passive Class Skills Adjustments

In previous versions, each class skill has a different passive skill, but these passive skills vary in terms of strength. For example, the passive skill of the Ninja class can reduce the footstep sound, which can provide great assistance to players in combat. The passive skill of the Hacker class, on the other hand, is only helpful when going against other Hacker classes.

Many players choose the Ninja class more to reduce the footstep sound, while others choose the Medic class just to reduce time required for healing. All these options limit the diversity of classes to some extent.

In order to provide a more diverse experience and choice, we are introducing a new system - the Profession System.

Class Profession

We have retained the passive skill of each class, and all classes will also share their profession-featured passive skill. We hope these adjustments can help the passive skills be more compatible with the active skills.

We have divided the classes into 5 professions:

Disruptor: After activating the skill, movement speed is increased for a period of time.

Include: Trickster, Trap Master, Smoke Bomber, Rewind, and Hacker.

Assassin: Reduces movement noises.

Include: Ninja, Poltergeist, and Pumped.

Rebound: Reduces time required for healing and bringing back knocked down teammates.

Include: Medic and Refitter.

Fortress: Reduces explosive damage and the duration of negative effects.

Include: Defender, Desperado, and Spotter.

Observer: Enemy footsteps can be heard from a distance.

Include: Scout, Clown, Mechanic, and Airborne.

Note: Unless stated otherwise, the passive skills above are all additional effects that do not affect the original passive skills.

Ninja Class:

As Ninja class is no longer exclusive to powerful passive skills, we have enhanced its mobility as a compensation.

Charge Number of Times: Increased

Trickster:

Trickster class no longer provides support for players to hear footsteps from a greater distance. Instead, it will provide a movement speed buff after activating the skill.

Airborne:

The Airborne class is a beneficiary in this revision for it gained an additional passive skill. However, its long charge time makes it incompatible with the current fast pace of combat. Therefore, we have reduced its charging time.

Charging Time: Reduced

Poltergeist:

In this revision, the Poltergeist class no longer gives movement speed buff after activating the skill. Instead, it will have a powerful ability to reduce the sound of footsteps. We think this passive skill is more suitable for the position.

Trap Master:

In this revision, the original passive is replaced with the movement speed buffs after activating the skill.

As compensation, the original passive skill - speed buff charges - are converted into a base value increase instead.

Charging Time: Reduced

Smoke Bomber:

In this revision, Smoke Bomber will no longer receive a movement speed buff after taking damage. It will receive the movement speed buff after activating the skill instead.

Refitter:

In this revision, the Refitter class is a beneficiary as it gains an additional passive skill.

Currently, the damage reduction of the Refitter requires multiple releases to stack up to its maximum effect, making it difficult to keep up with the current pace of combat. We have increased the number of charging times to create more flexibility.

Number of Charging Times: Increased

Spotter:

In this revision, we have replaced the original passive with a reduction in explosive damage and duration of negative effects.

We hope that the new passive can help the Spotter class combo up with its own active skill.

Rewind:

In this revision, we removed its original passive and replaced it with a movement speed buff after activating the skill.

Advanced Attachment – Horizontal Recoil Suppression Attachment (Legendary) – Nerfed

This attachment increases the ADS movement speed greatly, which brings abnormal speed.

  • Care to expand on the share cards more? Not too sure when this feature was available unless we thinking about something completely different.
  • The Fennec was our first mythic weapon so it was added to the game before all the features of the current mythic weapons were available, that's why it doesn't have the tactical sprint animation. Another example of this is how the new Switchblade X9 mythic will have tracer rounds this season, which is a new feature added to the mythic weapon.

  1. Hmmm, that doesn't sound intended. Let us check in with the team and see if that's a bug or not, and if it is we'll let them get investigating.
  2. We haven't heard of any plans like this just yet, but the team is working on ways to reward or bring new elements to players who have been grinding the game and gotten our top accolades, whether it's being maxed level or having completionist weapon camos.
  3. Again, not something we have heard plans for at the moment. We know that the Ground Forces bundle of items have been highly sought after, especially that first one, so if we do hear of a change there we will let you all know.

Hey there! The upcoming hot fix on 8/5 will fix the aether/tournament camos issue for some players, with a larger fix coming in our next major update which should fix the issue for everyone else.
