Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community! It’s only been a few short days since our in-game update released and we shared out the patch notes, but we are back today to help celebrate the Season 10: Shadows Return launch and to give you a glimpse at what is coming out this season. First, we must proceed according to customs and share the Season 10 Official Trailer:
Season 10: Shadows Return Trailer
Templar – Unredeemed takes center stage this season in his search and like our main themed event reveals it may or may not be about a new operator named Stansfield. If you recall, the last time we saw Templar he had turned on his once allies (or had they turned on him? Open to interpretation 😉) and had teamed up with the unlikeliest ally – Ghost. Join them now with the first part of the comics coming out today and found within the S10 Battle Pass’s in-game section.
The season began a short while ago and with that came quite a bit of content, like Vacant (a new MP map), a Clan Wars update with new rewards, a Ranked Series update with new rewards, a credit store update, and a Seasonal Challenge with the new CBR4 SMG available to snag! Of course, there is much more coming throughout the season and you can get a glimpse of it at all in our roadmap:
The majority of this community update will be to focus on sharing information about various parts of that Roadmap or to highlight unique new features you may have missed. Let’s jump in and start going over everything, but if you have any questions please feel free to respond back and reach out!

New MP Map – Vacant
One of the most popular and classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps has come to Call of Duty: Mobile! Vacant is now available to play as a part of new season. Modeled after the version in Modern Warfare (2019) this medium sized map is centered around a vacant office building with ample space for all types of combat.
One of the things that has made this map one of the most popular in Call of Duty history is how the map uses the classic three-lane approach but mixes it up in a way where you’ll never feel constrained. Pinned down by snipers hiding outside? Head through the elaborate office interior to flank them or force them into close-range encounters. Check out this new map in-game now!
Season 10 – Updates & Improvements
This season has come with new seasonal content, like weapons, a MP map, BP, and challenges, but it also came with a brand-new in-game update! This update is full of what you might expect, like bug fixes or weapon balance changes, but it also a variety of new features, improvements, or updates that we want to call-out. Let’s go through a few:
MVP Replay
First up, we have a new way to help highlight your actions with MVP Replay! Instead of showing the traditional final kill cam, now the match will show a player’s two best kills. Simple, but different from the usual and we are looking forward to seeing how you all like this feature in the long run.
Weapon Inspection
This long-awaited feature is now here to help you appreciate your weapons just a little bit more, whether it is that charm on the side, intricate detail on an epic blueprint, or the dynamic quality of a mythic weapon. You can now access this action through the Emote wheel. We’ll have more updates to this later, especially for Mythic weapons.
FOV Options
This may be one of the harder ones to explain in this list, but we now have a new FOV setting available to tinker with. You can now set your FOV up to 100, which may be more comfortable with players coming from other platforms. Check this all out through the Settings and under Basic.
Text break! If you are tired of reading through these at this point then you are in luck, we made a video to highlight several of these new features. We rarely make these types of videos, so let us know your thoughts on how worthwhile it is and take a look:
Gifting items
Another long-awaited feature has been implemented this system - gifts! If you want to send your friends various items, like the Battle Pass or Weapon XP, you can now purchase them and send them over via the Friends List. Just look at the new gift option there.
New Functional Weapons
Two new functional weapons are landing in Call of Duty: Mobile in S10 and they are both already available to acquire! Whether you like close range combat or long range you’ll be happy because the two new weapons are:
CBR4 SMG
This SMG is a brand-new weapon to Call of Duty: Mobile. Like most SMGs, the CBR4 has excellent TTK in close range combat and high mobility. The CBR4’s firing rate is higher than most of the current SMGs in game, leading to a 5 shot kills on any enemy closer than 17 meters away.
The CBR4 can be earned in the Seasonal Challenge – CBR4 Supremacy (details in that section below). Tasks in this challenge will all center around using SMGs. The CBR4 will also be coming out this weekend as this season’s Mythic weapon. All we will say for now is that this mythic CBR4 is truly unique.
SVD Sniper Rifle
An iconic Sniper in the Call of Duty franchise in its various states, the SVD is now in Call of Duty: Mobile! The SVD is a semi-automatic sniper giving it a higher fire rate than most other sniper currently in Call of Duty: Mobile, only second to the M21 EBR. 2 shots from the SVD will kill an enemy player at nearly all distances.
You can get the SVD in-game now by grinding the Season 10 Battle Pass to tier 21 or if you buy the Premium Battle Pass you can acquire the Epic SVD – Black Ironwood at tier 50. Get a look at the SVD in action in our latest video:
Seasonal Challenges
To start off the season we have two new seasonal challenges like normal, but for this update we are going to highlight four since they are going to be releasing before we are back for our next community update. These range from MP, to BR, to either depending on the task and focus. Let’s jump in and go through each!
CBR4 Supremacy
This seven-part seasonal challenge you all are likely already familiar with since it is the main one to acquire the new CBR4 SMG. However, if you haven’t jumped it yet we’ll just quickly say it is all about showing your skill and excellence with SMGs in MP matches. Completing all of these tasks will earn you up to 13,000 Battle Pass XP and the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) Cordite – Shaded Weaponry
- (Rare) J358 – Green Marble
- (Rare) M21 – Green Marble
- (Rare) Sticker – Head Case
-
New Weapon – CBR4 SMG
BR Mastermind
This six-part seasonal challenge is the counter to the previous CBR4 Supremacy challenge since this one is entirely focused on Battle Royale! You’ll have to complete tasks like killing enemies at long-range, landing in certain areas, and earning some medals. Completing all of these tasks will earn you up to 12,000 Battle Pass XP and the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) Mechanic – Shaded Weaponry
- (Uncommon) Peacekeeper MK2 – Shaded Weaponry
- (Uncommon) Scout – Shaded Weaponry
- (Rare) Antelope A20 – Green Marble
- (Rare) Charly – Green Marble
Orbital Laser (11/24)
This six-part seasonal challenge takes you back to Multiplayer and asks you to show your skills with scorestreaks! Of course, scorestreaks are all about getting them in the first place and the tasks are focused on that, like getting kills with them, activating them, earning points, and of course using the new Orbital Laser. Completing all of these tasks will earn you up to 12,000 Battle Pass XP, weapon XP, and the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) HVK-30 – Shaded Weaponry
- (Rare) Frame – Buckled Up
- (Rare) BY15 – Green Marble
Royale Overdrive (11/24)
This seven-part seasonal challenge switches it up once again and has you dropping back into Battle Royale! Either map is applicable and the tasks are not particularly focused on anything, with some requiring looting in certain areas, opening airdrops, or just placing in the top 3. Completing all of these tasks will earn you up to 13, 000 Battle Pass XP and the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) Clown – Shaded Weaponry
- (Uncommon) Defender – Shaded Weaponry
- (Rare) Spray – Center Mass
- (Rare) ICR-1 – Green Marble
Damned to Life Mythic Drop
Each season we always have either one Mythic Drop or one Legendary Operator Draw, but this season is special because it happens to have both! That’s a first in Call of Duty: Mobile history and we are excited to be able to do so with some unique high-quality offers. First up, travel to a lab where Nova Gas is used to create weaponized soldiers and tools with the Damned to Life Mythic Drop!
This new Mythic Drop is all about experimentation with a parasitic life form infused into a CBR4, the latest SMG. This life form is contained within the weapon and gives it an energy that will ultimately destroy your enemies with death effects that mutate and absorb. Like many weapons, the CBR4 – Amoeba can be molded to many different combat scenarios and the look can change drastically.
Of course the CBR4 – Amoeba isn’t the only thing of value in this Mythic Drop, you also have a variety of epic offerings including the super soldier Codename: Lazarus, the AK117 – Archtoxin, Emote – Rejoice Within, and the legendary Gas Grenade – Archoxin, which has new special effects with that grenade. Jump on this new Mythic Drop once it launches tomorrow on 11/21 UTC!
Clan Wars Update
The frequently mentioned Clan Wars refresh has gone live this season and that means currency has reset, new rewards are available, and new improvements for Clan Wars are inbound! The new changes are meant to revamp the whole store system so that players feel like the rewards are more obtainable within a single season. That’s done through increased currency earn rate and cycling rewards.
Previously, Clan Wars rewards were all designed to be about long-term consistency, so that if you and your clan kept at it over the season you would be able to obtain some rewards but not all. It was meant to take multiple seasons to acquire the most expensive rewards, the operators and all of their items, and in the end we just didn’t think that worked for enough players.
Now, we have a new Clan Wars season with 61 days to go (each Clan Wars season lasts two “normal” seasons, i.e. Season 10/Season 11) and new rewards to earn. This time you have the new Epic operator Iskra – Killswitch with her unique helmet and chest piece. There is also the epic DL Q33 – Action Panel. Check them all out in-game in the video below:
Iskra - Killswitch Gameplay Video
Undead Siege
Just a quick note to confirm that Undead Siege was removed as of this Season 10 launch and to also confirm that it will be back in Season 11! We have some juicy new additions to the mode coming then and we hope it will help add some long-term challenges to all of you folks who felt like it was too easy.
Credit Store Update
This first credit store update of the season comes with four new items including an epic weapon blueprint. We won’t be able to give you all another community update before the next credit store update drops as well, so we’ll just gives a heads up and say it will bring the BR Class – Rewind and the operator Merc 1 – Breaker Bolt. For now though, here is the list of items for this first update:
- Thermite - Shell Hell (1.5k credits)
- Parachute - Action Scene (2k credits)
- Perk – Recon (2k credits)
- (Epic) M4LMG - Vector Pop (20k credits)
Bugs & Feedback
Since the season just started we don’t have a lot to share back in this section yet, except to say we are also not a fan of invisible operators and we think people should be able to use their controllers again. We are investigating a variety of issues at the moment on top of the few we’ve already fixed, but as new events drop and new content becomes available it means there will only be more opportunities for issues. Keep reporting them and we’ll keep tracking them down!
A huge thanks to the many players who have already been out there sharing feedback and bugs in the community! Every season we are both extremely appreciative and a little bit surprised to see just how much you all share. Keep it up and thank you for the passion!
Support Options
We had a few questions about how we investigate issues and the best way to report something when we released the last update and we’d like to recap for everyone. Basically, we look everywhere! Haha, no we are not omniscient social media wizards who can catch every thread, post, video, or tweet, but we do live in these spaces’ day in and day out and see quite a lot. Whenever we see a post we investigate, occasionally ask follow-ups, and then take all of that information back to the rest of our teams, whether that is feedback or a bug.
With that said, the best way to report is to do so collaboratively. For example, this issue we fixed with the invisible Siren operator was immediately spotted thanks to many people reporting the issue the night of the in-game update. Not only did our community team see it, but so did many other members of the larger CODM team. Those types of issues that are big, loud, and everywhere are of course the easiest to report, but on a smaller scale we always look for similar bug reports where at least more than one player is reporting something.
Seeing that even two people are experiencing the same bug gives us hope we can replicate it, find it, and fix it quickly. Even our support teams find that to be extremely helpful when seeing similar via support channels. So, all in all there is no “best channel” or “best way” to report other than to say do so with others whenever possible. Lastly, just a reminder that our main two official options are below:
- In-game support chat
- Player Support Website: Contact Us
Final Notes
There is a lot we haven’t been able to cover in this update since our team is out for a chunk of next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday here, but if you are looking for deals around Black Friday and Cyber Monday then make sure to keep an eye out both in-game and on our social channels! We have plenty coming on that front and hopefully it gives you some cheap options to grab new weapons, operators, and more. Additionally, there is also this chaotic and punk version of Death Angel Alice on the way!
Live, Laugh, Boom, Coming Soon
We are nearing the end of the year already, which came up surprisingly quickly after our 2nd Anniversary, and there is still this entire season to go through plus the start of Season 11 (which will run into 2022). Our teams are all eager to release that content but we are also hard at work on 2022 already! It will be another year with many new opportunities to bring unique events, offers, and collaborations to Call of Duty: Mobile!
Looking forward to all of that and we’ll see you for our next update in early December. Take care and for those of you in the U.S. have an excellent Thanksgiving holiday!
