Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile community! While were off enjoying the holidays we saw plenty of discussion about a certain public test build already going on over in China and now you can check out all of that content yourself! Testflight now available as well!

Here are all of the public test build details below:

  • Begins today on January 3rd
    • Test end date TBD (most likely the end of the week)
  • Available for Android Devices & iOS Devices
  • Download Size: Initial size around 600-700 MB, Wifi connection is highly recommended
  • Player Registration Limit: 30,000
  • Content suited for ages 16+
  • All information and player data collected during this test will be deleted

As per usual, everything you see in the build may not be final, may be buggy, may have placeholder art or text, or may be different from what eventually releases. Sometimes content we are testing is for the next season or it could potentially be for two seasons from now. However, here are a few pieces of content you can look forward to trying out in this build:

  • Three new MP Maps (for S1 or S2)
  • Battle Royale Map changes
  • Controls Optimization - Sensitivity
  • Balance Adjustments (General)
  • Two New Functional Weapons
  • New Scorestreak
  • Resource Download Optimizations
  • New - Muzzle Fire Smoke (gfx effect on weapons)
  • Voice Over Optimizations

Just another reminder as well that this content is by no means representative of everything coming to the next release. We specifically curate what is going into these builds and are trying to get feedback or in-game data on specific features, changes, optimizations, and content. Please make sure to use the in-game survey function to report your feedback or any bugs.

Heya, thanks for the call-out and report on that. Any specific error? Happen to have a screenshot? Same for you u/DeReInCaRNaTeD1 in relation to your issue with being unable to rename your account/player. Also, did this just start with S11 for both of you?

Heya, yeah that's actually something we are tinkering with for this next update. There should be more options to help manage what you do or do not want to download. However, we don't have specifics about that right now. We'll get that info and circle back once we get closer to the release (or at least for the patch notes).

Hey, those changes are also in this release. We are still looking at feedback around that and it is great to see those get brought up & discussed quite a bit already. Gives us time to talk about it internally as well to see if there are different options we should consider, but that's all part of an effort to remove rarely used content to help decrease the size of the game.

Surprisingly, no it is not. Not without significantly changing the build itself, which makes your experience and your reports/feedback different compared to the final build that actually releases. For instance, if we removed the tutorial and then you ran into an issue in the test build that issue may only be occurring because of something that went wrong due to us removing the test build.

It essentially creates a whole different version that our QA teams can't properly test and work on, while right now everything you report and everything they work on rolls up into the final release. A bit hard to explain, but we hope that helps a little bit.

32 bit is for lower end devices.

We have no idea why anyone is downvoting either of these responses, but yes that is correct what Elexus_786 said! 64 Bit is for high end devices and it may not run on lower end devices.

Now, for the renaming my name in-game problem, this has been going on for quite a few months now, when I first went to change my name. Everyone else is able to change their name just fine in my friends list in-game. I only changed my name once to include my clan sign, but I am not able to revert it anymore for a few months now.

Thanks for the detailed response. That's odd about the Clan Name and we don't have an immediate way to assist there (wish it gave an error we could check against), but for the username could you share your UID (not your player ID) and what you want your username to be? Feel free to send via PM if you don't want that publicly shown here, but please ping us back here so we see the reply and know to go check.

Also, for the clan rename does it use up a card when you do it or just no response and nothing is used? Have you tried transferring ownership to see if someone else can do it?
