For context, I have a pretty bad computer, but I had found a set-up/config that worked to make the game actually playable, I was able to fight basically everything with little issue, but now after this latest update I can barely even run the game anymore despite all of the settings being the same, where I once had around 15-20 frames in Ramsgate, I now average 5 and below, and I jitterbug around so much in hunts that I might as well not try fighting the behemoth.
I never had any of these issues prior to this update, and now the game is effectively unplayable; and while I don't like saying its a good things fault, I think it is Easy Anti-Cheats fault. I'm not a genius on how it runs, but I do know that in another game I have played; Paladins, I get this exact same issue every single time I play that game, and it kills my interest every single time. I want to keep loving and playing this game, and sadly just buying a new computer isn't really affordable no matter how cheap I can get. It could also just be the engine update, though I doubt the engine is so shoddily made that an update to improve performance would ruin it entirely.
I just want to enjoy this awesome game, but until it regains the same stability it had not even an update ago, I'll have to pass on the hunt.
