The detonating the mag bombs wont put you in the empowered reload state. I have not heard anyone clarify wether this was intentional or a bug and nothing from the developers.
It just stopped working After going into mag bomb mode the weapon glows for a bit as if in the empowered state and then stops. The damage is stupidly low.
I might not have been looking around enough to find an answer but this just bugs me.
