Disclaimer: My sense of time might be warped, so don't pay too much attention to that.

I remember back in the days of Beta. All you had to do was choose a fight, go to the fight and kill it. The behemoth dropped small shiny balls you had to remember to pick up to get some parts. It was a pain in the butt because sometimes the small shiny balls would fall out of the map, and you had to it all again. The fights were somewhat lacklustre, but the game was in beta, we all figured it was going to get better, but it never really did.Stormclaw and Drask were the go-to behemoths, their gear just had the best perks. I farmed those behemoths so much it hurts to think about it. And then they released Shrowd, that is one fight I will never forget how to do. Probably killed it more times than I care to admit... And this was all during beta. Then they released Rezakiri, which was an unfinished behemoth fight. You had to jump over an invisible tail because i-framing into it was almost impossible until you learnt the whole fight. It had some wanky mechanics which made the fight a living hell in the beginning, but eventually it got farmed. I remember having a lot of fun with friends, laughing at people trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

Time went by, the game got released, I played for like a month, but I obviously tired out in beta (my own fault), so I ended up quitting. Came back a year or so later, nothing much had changed. I did some content and got all the exotic gear and weapons. The new behemoths were interesting, but the game still took no time to complete. Once you had all your stuff, there was nothing to do.

Somewhere they also released Cells which I wasn't very fond of because of how useless most of them were (and some still are today). But there were other, bigger, parts that lacked attention, so I wasn't so hung up on it.

Came back a second time ~5 months ago... and holy sh*t. The game was like nothing I'd ever imagined. Everything was new, didn't recognize anything. They fixed basically everything that made me quit the game over and over, they had introduced systems that could keep a degenerate farming addict like me engaged. The new behemoths were **awesome**, the new systems (while not perfect) were A LOT better than before. I don't know why, but god-damn this game has come so far, and they really made it better.

The hunting ground is awesome, made the game feel so much more alive. The Slayers path was a great addition, it just added that extra progression feeling, something to strive for more than just one gear piece. There are lots more things I like and a few I dislike, but I'll not get into them all here.

I've seen a lot of complaining on different systems being bad, but It really is minor stuff. Phoenix Labs really took the time to understand what made their game bad and just made it better, they also seem to listen to feedback. I could write so much more things, funny and sad, that I've experienced in this game throughout the years.

It just makes me proud to be a Founder, it's like seeing your child learning from its mistakes. Makes me feel all warm and cosy inside.
