As MHW has become stale and is no longer being updated I've been looking for something to fill that niche. Dauntless so far is doing it for me. Clear inspiration with the weapon mechanics and armor system.
Right now I am focusing on getting a decent armor set for most damage types. Mostly focusing around level 18-20 atm.
I have not started escalations or trials yet.
I have a few questions for experienced players. I feel as though I am rapidly progressing through the content. Will the hunts become more challenging and longer later on?
Should I be focusing much no earlier armor sets, or just work with the lower tier stuff until closer to end game?
How important is damage type really? So far my Lighting damage sword seems to shred everything, while when matching against radiant monsters my void (or w/e) axe barely does anything.
And finally...is there an easy way to get exoskeletal Plates from the rezakiri? Ive killed it a few dozen times and have 3. I know you need to break the legs but there are few opportunities to hit there. I am not a ranged weapon player so Im hoping there may be some trick to grounding the thing so I can pound away on the dumb legs.
