Hello, just posting here my toughts as a new player from europe in dauntless.
First of all i come from another well know mmorpg, i consider myself in the middle between casual and hardcore(more casual than hardcore)
-I started in dauntless about 2 weeks ago, and i power surged like 8 times, im lvl 25 in electric scalation and frost escalation, because i really liked the ultra set transmog, i didnt play much the other escalations.
-i really liked the game so i bought the elite hunt pass, dauntles is the only game i play now
-The only bug that i have found is the chainblades one, and only happens in hunting grounds, in escalations works perfect(i play on PC)
-When i started playing the game felt very hard, it took ages to kill a behemod in a group (lvl 10 to 20, before lvl 10 i was fine)and i was unable to finish most of the events with the other players in the hunting ground. Then i saw some player killing behemods in less than a minute, the experience for me was the same even if i just do 1 hit to the behemod, so from lets say lvl 12 to lvl 20 i just follow strong players and ''leech'' experience. I was not there just watching, i did my best to help, i didnt know that the health of the behemod escales with the players, it was not my intention to disturb.
-Now a im that player that kill behemods fast in hunting grounds, and i dont mind if new players follows me as long as they dont just stand here and watch me doing the job.
-Frost escalation was frustating at the start, but in the third day i noticed that players knew better what to do to reduce the freze and it was more enjoyable, the best part of the escalation is the boss, i had tons of fun fighting urska, especially when it looks like there is no chance, half group frezzed and the other half hugging the fire almost frezzed, no more consumables to unfreze and somehow the group manages to unfreze the teamates and kill urska or when your team is frezzed and the boss is at 1/4 heath and you manage to kill it.
-Repeaters, they are....a range weapon? but the way you play it is to be as near as possible to the behemod to do more damage, mmm then just pick a mele weapon?, i dont know just my toughts lol, i like repeaters but i dont play it, first: because everytime i shot the screen shakes, it gives me headache, second: the camera angle..feels wierd.
-There are very slow,slow,fast and very fast mele weapons, but only 1 (fast)ranged weapon, i think it is a good idea to put a slow ranged weapon in the future, maybe a bow? a missile launcher? i dont know
-And last, i was playing with my wife and she told me, imagine if behemods where titans (from the anime singeki no kyojin), i found it funny.
