Greeting Slayers!

Welcome to the Bugs Megathread where you can report bugs that you encountered while playing Dauntless. With every patch, comes with unforeseen bugs that can find their way onto our airships and into gameplay. To avoid flooding the subreddit with similar issues, we are collecting all bug reports in this megathread to consolidated incoming reports. This will be the place to post all bug reports until a new Bugs Megathread is made. This is to provide both the developers and the community a thread focused solely on bugs.

Prerequisites before reporting a bug

  1. Provide screenshots or a videos capturing the bug if possible. This would help the devs validate the bug report
  2. Give as much information as you can. This helps the devs recreate bugs on their end and discover if the issue is localized to specific
  3. Knowing the session ID in which a particular bug occurred in would help as well.

How to Format your Bug

  • In-Game Name:
  • Type of Bug: Behemoth, Weapon, Gear, Performance, Cosmetic / Visual, etc.
  • Expected behavior: What were you expecting to have happen?
  • Actual behavior: What did you see happen?
  • Screenshot/Clip: Provide a video or screenshot of this bug happening.
  • Reproduction Rate/Steps: Are you able to reproduce this bug? How often does this bug occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)
  • System Specs: Internet speed Operating System, CPU, GPU, Internet speed, or Console.
  • Geographic location: Provided this so we can track which server you are connected too.
  • Session ID: (Optional). For bugs that occurred in a particular session/s.

Every comment might not be addressed, but rest assured that the devs go through every single post. Before commenting, please aim to upvote comments that are the same or similar to an issue you have experienced in-case someone else has already posted.

Actual behavior: After logging into the new patch, I now have "-1 talent points" left for the fresca tree. I had all 25 points unlocked and allocated before the patch and I haven't tried reallocating them since. All other esca trees still have 0 remaining points, as expected.

Screenshot: I play on ps4 so this isn't convenient. The "-1" is displayed in the blue circle on the left of the menu in Ramsgate when I open the fresca talent tree.

Reproduction: It just seems to be staying that way so far.

System specs: regular ps4

Geographic location: East Coast US

This is because we fixed an issue where one node wasn't costing a point previously. So you can keep what you have, or if you reset you'll be able to unlock one less than you currently have :)

To help us narrow it down a bit, do you know how long you've had those cores for? Would you be able to check new ones you receive? Any extra specific information you have is helpful :)

agreed, I think the core variety we had before was just fine... nobody except collectors actually held onto enough to worry about sorting through them anyways, and there really weren't all that many that were received en masse

I kept around 1 or 2 of every type as novelties, so I had things like Aetherpunk bonus cores and bronze/silver arcstone cores before the conversion. I also had over 1000 of the newer cores from hunting grounds; I hadn't been opening them since it would take so long lol. After the conversion, I had 2 of the "fountain" cores, ~1000 of the second rarity cores, and a few hundred of the first and third rarities. I opened the fountain cores and 10 each of the common and uncommon ones; they all had arcstones in them so I stopped opening them after that. As I recall, they also had a few rams and a large assortment of cells.

I haven't checked any cores received after the patch; the ones I opened were all what I was given from the conversion.

Sadly, I didn't get a screenshot of it because I wasn't thinking. I think it was after I took the amp for the Avatar of Unity that made Behemoths slower when they got staggered. After that, the next round I got 3 choices, and the final round gave me 2.

This was during Frost Escalation.

If you have screenshots later please post them here :) We've been having a really hard time understanding how to reproduce and fix this issue, so any more information you can provide would be very helpful!

Hey! Just wanted to jump in here and provide some info. You're just opening really old cores. Nothing about the cores you've had actually got converted into anything. They're just now being sorted differently. Basically, feel free to open them. :)

Not sure if it was just a display issue or is intended, but low leveled players were joining for Frost Escalation and people were quitting in the lobby because of it.

No, because as I said (I posted right before you), I think they queued up and then reforged. So it would be a little rare.

EDIT: Maybe once you enter the queue you can change to whatever you want? Or maybe once it puts a group together? I can switch my kit freely while in queue, so I'm not sure if there is a level check after you enter the queue, or after it matches you with a party.

Hi. It's my fault this isn't well explained, but this is working as expected. Each of Linnea's boons has its own pool of Amps available. Each of these pools is relatively small, and it's possible if you get the same boon several times in the run to deplete the pool enough that you will begin to see less total amp choices.

Did you have the chat or social panel open as the Loot panel popped up? Were you on specific Hunting Grounds or game modes (ie. Escalation, an Event, etc) when the problem occurred?

Honest Ozz's UI does not work properly on 16:10 resolutions (or more square ones). The currency counter in the top-right is cut off and you can't see how much you actually have.

I can assure you that we didn't intentionally delete anyone's cores. They may be retitled as something else but they should definitely still be there. I'm working with the team to get better communication out on the core changes we did. If you find that's not the case and this statement is wrong, please do comment here and let me know!

Your cores are still there, they're just all now part of the Rare stack. I believe there was an intension to lower the amount of core types that could've been communicated better on our part. This is now showing up as ALL of our previous cores being sorted into one of the new rarities, but the content of them, or whatever you had in this case, should be exactly the same.

Not this time though. I went on several dangerous bunnypuff missions, but each time I returned to Ramsgate it still wouldn't let me toss the coin.

Reproduction Rate/Steps: Sign in, go to the fountain to toss coin, fountain says "No, you've already done this today", try to explain to fountain that you most certainly have NOT tossed the coin today, swear at fountain, fountain remains obstinate, kick fountain, hurt foot, walk away mad.

Do you remember the last time you logged in? If it was before Reforged (Dec 3, 2020) it may be that your progress was migrated. It would be worth reaching out to Player Support :)
