Welcome to the Bugs Megathread where you can report bugs that you encountered while playing Dauntless. With every patch, comes with unforeseen bugs that can find their way onto our airships and into gameplay. To avoid flooding the subreddit with similar issues, we are collecting all bug reports in this megathread to consolidated incoming reports. This will be the place to post all bug reports until a new Bugs Megathread is made. This is to provide both the developers and the community a thread focused solely on bugs.

Prerequisites before reporting a bug

  1. Provide screenshots or a videos capturing the bug if possible. This would greatly help the devs validate the bug report
  2. Give as much information as you can. This helps the devs recreate bugs on their end and discover if the issue is localized to specific
  3. Knowing the session ID in which a particular bug occurred in would help as well.

How to Format your Bug

  • In-Game Name:
  • Type of Bug: Behemoth, Weapon, Gear, Performance, Cosmetic / Visual, etc.
  • Expected behavior: What were you expecting to have happen?
  • Actual behavior: What did you see happen?
  • Screenshot/Clip: Provide a video or screenshot of this bug happening.
  • Reproduction Rate/Steps: Are you able to reproduce this bug? How often does this bug occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)
  • System Specs: Internet speed Operating System, CPU, GPU, Internet speed, or Console.
  • Geographic location: Provided this so we can track which server you are connected too.
  • Session ID: (Optional). For bugs that occurred in a particular session/s.

Every comment might not be addressed, but rest assured that the devs go through every single post. Before commenting, please aim to upvote comments that are the same or similar to an issue you have experienced in-case someone else has already posted.

After playing a Radiant escalation 1-13 on private I was able to gain access, matchmaking, and play Radiant escalation 10-50 in a public group match while still only being level 6.

Thank you for the report! This might get fixed in a hotfix sometimes next week, but worst case scenario it'll be fixed in 1.10.4. Cheers!

I went to glide from the starting area and after about half a second of flight (not even enough to get off of the high ground), I stopped gliding and started running at a slightly upward angle. I don't know if I can recreate but it was interesting since it didn't cost stamina at all.

Reproduction Rate/Steps: 10/10 all you need to do is use the artificer active on the ground. then you use the pike charge either going into or out of the barrier and it will stop the charge

Actual behavior: Game crashes often when returning to Ramsgate from a hunt or escalation. Never seems to happen when entering Ramsgate for the first time after loading the game, nor when travelling *from* Ramsgate to a hunt.

When this happens, the "entry platform" on Ramsgate is loaded, and you can see yourself and maybe other slayers standing there, but everything is frozen. Background music plays, but nothing moves and the controllers are unresponsive, as though suffering extreme lag or a loading delay. After maybe 10 or 15 seconds, the game closes with a console (Switch) message saying "the software was closed due to an error."

Reproduction Rate/Steps: This seemed to start with version 1.10.2, but I didn't notice it right away, possibly because I was often exiting the game from an island without returning to Ramsgate (and not doing escalations). I started noticing it a couple weeks before 1.10.3 came out, and it took a few instances (days) before realizing the pattern.

The problem seems to happen about 50% of the time if returning from a hunting island, and having engaged at least one behemoth. (Simply bouncing back and forth between Ramsgate and islands, without doing anything on the islands, doesn't seem to trigger it.)

It is much worse with escalations -- I haven't been able to return from any escalation successfully so far (maybe the repro rate is around 90% and I just haven't hit a success yet).
