Heard a rumor about this and I’m taking it with a grain of salt but In case you guys are really planning to do that…….that’s a terrible move.
Most players can’t beat them as they are now and making more content I can’t bring my friends along for is not fun. I already had to tell friends I couldn’t take them to heroic blaze escalation because they were not ready. As it is balanced right now is perfect based on the joke of the rewards given (50 combat merits? The best players don’t even know what to do with the ones they got let alone such a small number if someone newer some how completed this)
Now I understand some of the best players are also disappointed it’s not as hard as they expected. I understand this. I beat the first one second try and blaze on my first with all my revives. I’m not a consistent top 100 player but I have gotten on there a few times on and off (mostly on accident) so I could see the best of the best players bored by it thinking it was made for them. To that I say….why not make a dauntless difficulty version of heroic escalations? Treat it like trials with a normal and a trials version. This way you can appeal to both crowds and players like me who want harder than normal content happy but the players who want the ultimate challenge can get it with the dauntless difficulty. Seems like a simple Solution to keep everyone happy.
If this all turns out to be nothing and there is no buff coming to heroic escalation difficulty then I’m sorry for wasting everyone’s time here but I don’t see why there can’t be one more difficult for those who manage to beat heroic escalation of that escalation treated like the dauntless difficulty of the game type. Just some food for thought.
Tldr don’t buff heroic escalation’s difficulty. Make it normal mode and then add a dauntless difficulty instead if you plan to make it harder so it’s like trials in difficulty sense and more players can keep enjoying it. (Again if no buff is coming I’m sorry for this post)
Update: if any changes were to occur it wouldn’t happen until after one rotation.
