If it's its head then the lack of features could mean It could be a slug. It's placeholder name is "glitter" it could be because their slime gives them a shine or just they choose sea slug as one of glowing creatures in nature just like rezakiri with it's lamp tail tip could mean they took inspiration from firelies.
wow ok guess the cat's out of the bag. We just scaled up one of the smollusks and thought it would do the trick.
