Well, since the Journal is missing, I'll post it here for now. It will be in the game in 1.8.4.
While rising up to meet the challenges posed by a limited infantry force, Ostia crossed a line. In an act of historical defiance, their scientists created something abhorrent. Little did Ramsgate know, this unthinkable crime was only the first step. As the man-made Behemoth, Phaelanx, spread across the Shattered Isles, tightening the Triumverate’s grip on the lands, a new threat was being born in the shadows.
Ostia has reached deep into their well of militaristic ingenuity with Sahvyt, and the anatomy of this creature has Behemoth experts stumped. Unlike its semi-synthetic counterpart—the Phaelax ultimately depended on industrial mechanics—Sahvyt is wholly organic in nature. There are no signs of Ostian steel or weaponry. Whatever this beast is, it’s a biological organism at heart.
Cursory dissections have revealed that the Ostian pain-inducing implant technology is advancing at a steady pace. Embedded deep under the thick carapace, these inductors are keeping these creatures under the Triumvirate Enforcers’ thumbs—for the time being. Oddly enough, there are no incision marks for these implants. Carapace and thorax wholly envelopes the hardware.
Physical observations aside, the question still remains: Where did it come from?
Admiral Zai’s investigation through his network of moles hasn’t revealed much. It was reported that an Ostian expedition, one thought long lost, was discovered deep in uncharted skies, its ship silently drifting. No survivors were reported from the search and rescue crew, but it’s noted that the rise of Sahvyt Behemoths aligns with their return.
