Been a while since I felt compelled to wander around one of the islands and completely ignore the Behemoths. The inclusion of lore finds and storyline with the new island are great, more of this in the future please!

External link →Even though it's a copy of Brightwood I do like the Blazeworks island and how intriguing it is, like I was almost mindblown to see actual NPCs standing on guard. The exploding barrels are a nice touch that works in the environment; and because of how they can damage the Behemoths (and you) it's like a natural Modifier that actually works. The colorful Autumn trees are very beautiful and the "zen place" with the pond on top of the hill (same one as "Turtle sanctuary" in Brightwood) is a nice place to chill. Chill hill, if you will. :D
The loud roar you hear beneath the big hole with the grate is cool and makes you wonder what kind of creature is to come face to face with you in the future. Also curious when there are three smaller holes with their own Aether jets below, so why three exits (provided if you enter through the big hole)? You can reach the top of the tower (not a spoiler as I think it's intended when you can glide there) which gives such a nice view of the entire island... plus the peculiar placement of an Aether jet under an exploding barrel that launches you higher up in the air (though there's no place of interest to reach from there).
The Lore spots are a nice touch that I appreciate, however there is a flaw: I do wish the Lore spots could be interacted with again, just like with the other Lore spots on the other islands and in Ramsgate. I was disappointed I couldn't interact with them anymore after I got them once. I know I can access them in my Journal, but I like the immersion of interacting with the world.
Basically a cool and intriguing island. I'm looking forward to see Phaelanx showing up and how to engage in fight with it (some type of summoning process that is said to be "player controlled" according to a dev), also why three Aether jets below ground and another Aether jet on the top of the tower (maybe intended or maybe misplacement).
We're working to fix that bit about the Lore nodes. It didn't work with the current system and we had to toggle them off so they would work with the quest. Turns out, you could just spam one node to complete the entire quest...
I would like to do more of these in the future, so definitely want to polish it up!
This was my first stab at lore nodes! I worked with the environment artists to get these together (they did a fantastic job). I hope you enjoyed the quest that went along with them as well. The goal was to get players actively seeking them out and rewarding them with a report that they helped create.
As someone who is just getting into writing on the game, this means a lot :D

Thank you so much for these words <3 You don't know how much this makes my day
So happy this is the experience you are having, it is precisely why we want to do more and more of environmental story telling and expanding player agency in the Hunting Grounds. :D
Oh, I'm quite surprised and happy you saw my comment and commented. :D Seeing your title, I assume you're the designer of the island(s) so yeah I do like the look of Blazeworks and how well it fits into the lore and suspense of Phaelanx and the presence of Ostian involvement. It may be the most exciting island thus far - maybe even better than The Paradox Breaks (though I still need to wait for Phaelanx before I praise it further or have other feedback).
Btw, I didn't mention this before because I thought it wasn't that important, but I kinda wanted the NPC guards to have a small line like "Move on, Slayer" or "There's nothing for you here, Slayer" that occasionally happens whenever you're near (think like the random roars you hear from underground). But like I said, it's not so important, I just thought it would be a nice detail when the Lore spot found there is stating they clearly don't want you there.
Overall, nice work! Keep it up!
We really look at these and your experience in the game it's one of our main driving force :D
I'm so glad you like it so far and can't wait for you to experience Phaelanx, I bet it'll blow your mind, I know it has made me gasp every time I see things coming together and I really think it's going to be our best yet.
Thank you for the feedback on the NPCs! I'll make sure to pass it along.
