After using strikers for a while in the new patch, I'm quite certain they changed something about the physics. Slayers are now much less anchored in place when performing combos (and scoring hits), which causes the player to slide sideways along the behemoth's body when performing combos that move the player forward. I'm pretty sure this issue already existed with sword lunges sliding past behemoths, but now it's literally everywhere. It makes landing full combos absurdly hard and makes the game a lot less fun to play. This is especially problematic with skraev being the subject of the current trial and the new event; hitting skraev's blizzard pylon feels like trying to balance on a yoga ball. You just keep slipping by it and wasting time.

Striker moves that are particularly affected include karma breaker and the heavy combo.

I'm not calling this a bug because it was probably an intentional physics change. It just feels terrible and should probably be reverted.

Sources: doing the new event twice and getting a sub-3 solo on dauntless skraev trial

Thanks for pointing this out! Some changes were made to improve player vs player collision, but something funky is going on.

We're looking into this now.
