So the axe is considered the best weapon right up there next to the hammer, but it has a lot of bugs and things that should be the way they are. Let’s start with the

Bugs:

(As I play on the Nintendo Switch you might not experience these bugs since there might be bugs that only occur on the switch)

•Charge cancel: this bug is just annoying, it’s a bug with the start of the woodcutter combo ( mostly on its first attack charge) what it does is once you fully charge your axe attack it just cancels it completely, and you have to start the charge over, this bug seems to occur mostly when a behemoth is either staggered or interrupted, and it ruins the behemoth downtime completely since you get to barley do one attack on the behemoth.

•double strike: this is also a woodcutter combo bug that happens on the first attack, what it does is instead of doing charge-attack>attack>charge-attack>woodcutter attacks | It makes it charge-attack-repeat the attack>attack>charge-attack>woodcutter attacks. This is a problem since it delays the end of the combo, since instead of only doing for attacks until the woodcutter attacks you have to do 4, and you also don’t control it! It randomly happens.

•hitbox boof: I don’t really know how to call this one so I’ll just call it the hitbox boof, it’s when your axe’s hitbox boofs up, it becomes really finicky and annoying, and it’s really hard to hit attacks, it usually happens with the woodcutter attacks but I’ve also seen it happen other times, it happens when you attack a behemoth and after you attack it once if you attack it again within a short enough amount of time it doesn’t hit and you have to readjust your attacking position to try to hit somewhere else.

•throw cancel: this bug occurs with the grim throw special (forgot its name will edit it in later) What it does is sometimes when you throw your axe it will just don’t, it will show the character animation of the throw but then it will just unsheathe your axe and it won’t throw, so you have to press it again but in timings like interrupts or when the behemoth is moving it gets really frustrating.

Things that should just be different:

•Weapon transmog special effects: if you transmog your axe using a transmog stone to make it look like another weapon it will change it to the weapon, but the glowing of the axe with the determination level and when you throw it and it puts a little circle with an arrow next to your legs and later the axe has a beacon around it, the colours of those glows and stuff stays in the element of the Acura weapon and not the transmog, for example: if you use an umbral axe and you transmog it to a blaze axe the special effects on it would be purple and not orange. And yeah, I get that the devs are trying to let others know that you are not really using that element but you are actually using this element and such, but that’s the point of transmog a, to make it look different, and for fashion, so if I use an orange slayer appearance, I’d want to cool special effects to be orange as well.
