[2020] How do I actually use the game?

Played before the update, don't know anything now. I have level 8 weapons now they are all level one or something since I can't see the stats. It shows that all the islands I go to everything is either easy or too easy. Thats just what the game says but I struggle to beat the behemoths. I had around 21 thousand rams upgraded my sword and now I only have 11000 rams. How do I actually use anything?
