Massive kudos to you guys for Sahvyt. His design is awesome, the sound he makes is cool and I was really vibing to his music (which deserves an extra point because whoa! ♥). To me, this is truly a unique Behemoth that I wanted in all three aspects and his fight feel fine (though still learning his moves but struggling because obvious reason). It's like fighting a Samurai Mantis, it's epic and he's got grace and style. He's such a badass and I don't think I've had this same admiration/awe since Malkarion.

Well done with this one, team!

Only one question: What's the origin of the name Sahvyt? Does it mean anything? Inspired by something/someone? Or just random word that sounded good enough to be a name?

Also, why isn't he in the Behemoth Info in the Slayer Journal?

Super happy you're liking the fight! I've passed on the kind words.

The journal entry is coming next patch due to an error. You can read it here until then :)

While rising up to meet the challenges posed by a limited infantry force, Ostia crossed a line. In an act of historical defiance, their scientists created something abhorrent. Little did Ramsgate know, this unthinkable crime was only the first step. As the man-made Behemoth, Phaelanx, spread across the Shattered Isles, tightening the Triumverate’s grip on the lands, a new threat was being born in the shadows.
Ostia has reached deep into their well of militaristic ingenuity with Sahvyt, and the anatomy of this creature has Behemoth experts stumped. Unlike its semi-synthetic counterpart—the Phaelax ultimately depended on industrial mechanics—Sahvyt is wholly organic in nature. There are no signs of Ostian steel or weaponry. Whatever this beast is, it’s a biological organism at heart.
Cursory dissections have revealed that the Ostian pain-inducing implant technology is advancing at a steady pace. Embedded deep under the thick carapace, these inductors are keeping these creatures under the Triumvirate Enforcers’ thumbs—for the time being. Oddly enough, there are no incision marks for these implants. Carapace and thorax wholly envelopes the hardware.
Physical observations aside, the question still remains: Where did it come from?
Admiral Zai’s investigation through his network of moles hasn’t revealed much. It was reported that an Ostian expedition, one thought long lost, was discovered deep in uncharted skies, its ship silently drifting. No survivors were reported from the search and rescue crew, but it’s noted that the rise of Sahvyt Behemoths aligns with their return.

Thank you for sharing the entry! :) So, what about the name? How did it come to be and does it mean anything?

There was a long thread to create something quick and snippy. We wanted the name to sound sharp.

I heard from a player that it means comet in Arabic (but I could be wrong about that).

Sabit (Saa beet) is an Indonesian word for sickle. I think they nailed the naming.

Yeah! The designer for the behemoth was really inspired by the martial art forms of Silat. Since Shayvt had these wicked looking sycthe blade arms I suggsted some names of weapons that matched and were used in Silat, as a further homage to the inspiration. Sabit was then work shopped into Shavyt.

So you simply came up with a random good-sounding name (with possible Arabic translation that fits too)? Good choice of name.

Thanks! Sahvyt has been my absolute favorite behemoth to write for, and there’s been a lot of them! With the help and inspiration from Dom (designer) and Derek (sound designer), we came up with a style that’s unique for this creature. The two main influences were gamelan and Bulgarian choir.
