[2022] To spend or to keep all bounty tokens?

There is a bounty system update on the roadmap https://favro.com/organization/e5b8ad4a71148d7b5940992b/f86fee6bdc9be495922f7de2?card=Pho-27265

we'll be merging premium and standard bounty tokens and allowing players to keep them at the end of each season

I wonder, does anyone knows if there is a chance this can be applied to tokens of the current season? Or should I just spend them without hesitation?
