I know this is their first attempt with this game mode, so I get there are a few growing pains to be expected (especially with their history of borking things pretty consistently with every update), but this is absurd.
It isn't enough that you have to play almost perfectly to even defeat the behemoth because of his ability to one-shot you, punishing a single mistake, but to leave the leaderboards as they are? Knowing full-well that (damn-near) everyone with under 3 minutes had a bugged encounter?
I know I am not god's gift to Dauntless, and honestly I don't care about the leaderboards, so this isn't an inferiority complex. I have fought him somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 times with a single victory. And you know what? That victory was against the bugged version of him, with a time of 4:12. I don't feel good about that, but what feels even worse is knowing that I *still* have to get under 3 minutes to even hit my cap for the week. It's needlessly punishing, duders.
In solo, taking into account the bugged folks being the (largely) only people able to hit under that 3 minute mark, is it possible that maybe, just maybe, the requirement for a 3 star should be moved to around 5 minutes, instead of 3? I have had a handful of near-perfect runs that end around the 2 minute mark after being one-shot, but I'm confident that I couldn't have cleared him in that next 60 seconds unless every shot I fired crit.
So, if the (almost every) person in solo who is able to clear him in under 3 minutes did so because he was *weaker* and even then a lot of them only *barely* got under the 3 minute mark, isn't it possible the Dauntless Nay is just a bit overtuned health wise? So many folks are around my time 4 minutes or so, but somehow we're expected to shave a full minute off of our time *without* him being bugged?
I am fine with the top 3 legit times getting fancy sh*t and bragging rights, neato, but they shouldn't be the only folks who are able to hit the currency cap for the week. And as a side note, creating a currency with a weekly cap in a game that has, up until this update, been focused on farming/grinding is absolutely baffling to me. It is just so far-removed from the rest of the game that it makes zero logical sense. And, instead, feels like you guys are intentionally padding out content by putting cells and especially mods behind a time/pay wall. It's absurd, duders.
So, what do I propose?
Lift the cap for currency in Luck Trials, at the very least lift the cap for the Steel ones so people can get things they actually want without having to wait a week to see what kind of abomination you make them fight.
Move the timer requirements for stars to 5-8-30 instead of 3-5-30 (at least in solo, as I haven't bothered messing with the party version).
Actually play your game so you can get an understanding of how much health/damage an enemy like this *should* have instead of what you *feel* they should have, because I gotta say, I'm not convinced any of you over there ever fought this thing.
As of writing this, some dude with a sword has a time of under 2 minutes in the solo, and the top 3 teams are under 1.5 minutes. No. This is not okay.
Edit: It is now being lead by an axe user with no visible name at a time of 1:45. How is this a thing?
Edit 2: Now there is a team with a time of 24 seconds thanks to some kind of bug that pauses the timer (thanks to @imsofaking for pointing this out to me)
Edit 3: Looks like we got a new winner with an incredible clear time of 8 seconds. This one's a reaaaaal sloberknocker, folks!
