[2019] Game freezes when I plant a garden

As the title says, I can't plant a garden. Every time I try to put a seed in a plot the game just freezes and crashes. I've tried in 3rd person and first, tried from standing, crouching, inside inventory and outside. I just crash every time. Anyone experience this or have a solution?! Thanks!
