[2020] How does the VoIP work in game?

Anyone have any links explaing how VoIP will work?

If my brother and I are playing and are using discord. Will our VoIP automatically be on in game?

Or do you turn it on when you want to talk to someone in the Game?

Or do we only use in game VoIP so you have to use it even to communicate with team?
