The legal issue isn't even resolved yet.... Everything after that about launch etc.. Is just fluff. None of it matters because the issue that has been holding back the CA IS STILL THERE....
Even though it isn’t resolved just yet it’s 95% there. I regrettably didn’t say that it would be resolved for certain but given how things have gone for us recently I have no doubts that the countdown will be spinning up next week.
I don't understand the staggered release, what do I have to do now? Register where?
We’re letting our partners in right around the start of the countdown to CA so we can test the game with a sizeable audience and have the time to make any fixes that are needed or issues preventing the game from being playable.
We aren’t experienced AAA vets, and don’t have experience launching a project of this magnitude. It would be irresponsible to release the Closed Alpha without testing to make sure everything on our backend is functioning correctly.
They did it because the partners have a different NDA then the backers. Smaller sample size so if they need to push back the CA more they can and the partners are less likely to spill the beans.
Once that countdown starts and you see it live on the Indiegogo it’s the point of no return. At the end of it you will be given access to the game.
I understand that but how do I get the key? The post said I have to register somewhere? Why isn't it an automated process? Indiegogo has my email, send the key to that email and I'll register it on your site / my account right?
Register an account on qisoftware.ca with the same email as your Indiegogo account.
You’ll have access to your key through there, you’ll also gain access to the backer role on Discord and on the forums in the near future.
But how do I get the key?
When it's cleared, come back and tell us. 95% means NOTHING in court. It either IS or it ISN'T. Also, letting the partners in first who haven't even backed the game, made a youtube video or streamed any released info.. Tisk tisk.. Huge slap in the face to someone who HAS dropped real $$ to help build this ship.
Disputes like this rarely make it to court because at the end of the day we complied with the party that brought this issue up. We weren’t in court nor am I spending $150,000 when compliance is far more cost effective.
Our partners are acting as guinea pigs to make sure things work when your key. Saying that they haven’t backed the game when most of the boomstick tier backers are people in our partner program and I honestly cannot think of a single partner that hasn’t backed the project.
Is the partner program still open? I have a small twitch following with a decent amount of zombie content.
