1000s active ability button Freddie can
1003s project an illusion of himself next to
1005s the generator and cause it to gush a
1007s torrent of blood allowing him to take
1009s control of the projection
1012s if he chooses the cooldown of the stream
1016s projection is reduced for each sleeping
1018s survivor in the trial
1022s dream snares are traps that can be
1024s quickly placed almost anywhere these
1028s snares will reach up and grab any
1030s survivor who pass over them causing them
1033s to scream in horror and lose their
1036s footing ultimately slowing them down
1042s when survivors are affected by the dream
1044s snare they are unable to vault quickly
1047s through a window
1050s to further toi what his victims Freddie
1053s has new Adams that challenged the
1055s survivors perception in the dreamworld
1057s one of them is the dream pallets which
1060s can be placed wherever regular pallets
1062s appear
1067s but when one is dropped it explodes into
1069s a shower of blood when selected dream
1074s palace replaced dream snares
1078s the terrors of the dream world can be
1081s deadly
1083s so those unfortunate enough to find
1085s themselves face to face with Freddy will
1088s want to wake up as soon as possible
1090s survivors who are awake will be
1092s unaffected by Freddy's dream traps to
1096s escape the dream world survivors monitor
1098s fail a skill check be awakened by awoke
1103s survivor or reach a ringing alarm clock
1106s alarm clocks jolt survivors awake learn
1109s more effectively since they offer some
1111s respite before the survivors are lulled

1304s was that it seems like it's going very

1315s so I have a few questions here are we
1316s getting right into the question so
1320s recruits here asked us is there a good
1324s reason why Freddy starts a trial with
1325s its teleport on cooldown compared to
1328s nurse spirit and hillbilly giving him
1329s map pressure at the start with a 45
1331s second cooldown doesn't sound too crazy
1333s I think that's very fair to mention and
1337s to compare to the other killers such as
1339s nurse and hillbilly we tried something
1342s out and we're gonna monitor this change
1343s on live we might revert that specific
1347s change okay so he does not start
1349s cooldown well one of the things is
1352s usually when you start let's say because
1354s of a and weird behavior in in spawning
1360s and when you spawn right next to the
1361s killer it's usually not that great
1364s experience
1365s no so similar thing would happen if he
1368s spawns at the other end of the map or
1370s small spawns in the correct place but
1371s then immediately appears somewhere else
1373s it's sort of yeah it can screw some
1376s stuff up but it's not impossible
1378s exactly it was like that internally and
1380s we thought at the before we went live
1382s maybe we should try this differently
1385s yeah okay next we have a question from
1389s the lucky boy have you considered
1391s keeping old Freddy in the game and we
1394s have an option to switch between the two
1396s that sounds and this is
1399s requested some tasks many times
1401s unfortunately due to the fact that both
1403s killers are so different yeah
1404s and in the old Freddie was more
1406s frustrating to play against this is not
1409s something we're looking to do it would
1410s also require us to continually support
1412s both killers in the long run cuz that's
1414s the thing we just don't want to leave
1415s stuff that will never look at again yeah
1418s that would not be fair I think to
1420s Freddie and to players in general so
1422s that is not something that's gonna be
1423s having right now I don't think it's ever
1425s gonna change but who knows yeah we've
1429s been surprised before yeah okay snake

1437s get the dream snares in the base kit
1438s instead of the dream palettes that's a
1440s that's a big question I think I asked it
1443s myself
1445s yeah why there's also an internal debate
1447s on it I think it's a fantastic question
1450s the way I see it is that dream snares
1452s themselves are more dynamic meaning that
1453s you can place them pretty much anywhere
1454s in the map to use them effectively you
1459s have to understand how much time people
1461s are gonna be affected by it you know
1462s where to place them my windows whatever
1463s the case may be further than Windows
1465s around the loop instead of being
1466s directly on remembering where they are
1468s so you can sort of use them in a chase
1470s yeah which is it requires a lot more
1472s thought process from the killer whereas
1473s the palace is like I'm gonna place them
1475s willy-nilly left and right here we go
1476s and then kind of place and forget and
1478s then when I run into them when I
1479s actually have players are survivors
1481s running on that area then I can get the
1483s benefit from the pallets so it seems
1485s like from at least the way that we I see
1487s it is that and we see it is that it's
1488s more dynamic to use the snares and
1490s there's a little bit more of a skill and
1491s knowledge application towards the snares
1494s themselves there's a side effect to that
1496s also which means that people are gonna
1498s maybe be more surprised when you get the
1501s pallets thank you
1502s you're gonna say that yes but I love
1503s that you said well you you are okay yes
1508s so also that yeah it makes for a
1511s surprise because it's not always the
1513s pallet exactly so you're gonna go into
1514s the match and you're like okay easy
1515s running snares or running pallets and
1516s pallets will be a little bit more scarce
1518s the one they are played they will make
1522s you change your thought process towards
1523s how to play but it but the pellets are
1525s really fun that's the main reason why
1528s people are asking that
1529s so fun to be able to screw very
1532s in-your-face Oh God
1534s I just maximum through a palate feels
1535s great alright next one is from the real
1540s weird
1541s who's asking will the snares on Freddie
1544s be adjusted it seems like the palettes
1546s are way more useful than the snares okay
1549s so I'm not really sure if he is the real
1552s weird I think that's the first thing I'm
1554s going to address that I doubt it okay
1556s second part because the real weird would
1559s know that I think you would know
1561s so the snares haven't adjusted already I
1564s don't know if we're gonna adjust them
1565s anymore we're gonna give people time to
1567s play with them and to use them watching
1570s twitch streams we're trying to tune in
1572s and see what's going on playing against
1573s that of course as well with the new
1576s buffer system which allows you to play
1578s some a lot better yeah and the fact that
1580s they're not just being cancelled when
1581s you place them without any proper
1583s feedback I think they're already in a
1584s much better place than they were in the
1586s PTB that's the thing is is they're
1588s they're not as immediately obviously
1591s powerful as the palettes but you can use
1595s them so much more and in a much easier
1598s way that it sort of balances up exactly
1601s yeah
1602s so we're again this is another change
1603s we're gonna monitor we're not doing any
1605s major changes at the moment but like
1608s anything else in the game it's up for
1610s grabs for adjustment exactly you guys
1612s will prove us whether or not it is
1614s important to change it or not yeah
1615s well the other thing also is that by
1617s experience now we try to refrain from
1621s adjusting things a week after we
1623s released them hell yeah
1625s there's there's a learning curve right
1627s you're gonna play against these new
1628s killers they might require you to play
1629s differently or think differently about
1631s how your how your playing dead by
1632s daylight and in those respects you're
1635s gonna have to get time to actually play
1638s against it that's a build up your
1639s knowledge base build up your skills and
1640s then we're gonna have a better idea of
1642s how strong the killer is there's a
1644s question here from Ally surreal asking
1648s if you thought about changing Freddy's
1649s base speed to make it slower since he
1652s now has a teleport ability it's a very
1655s interesting question I think because he
1657s cannot choose where exactly yeah
1660s they actually teleport to generators I
1662s don't think this is necessary hmm we
1665s wanted to try to stay away from any
1666s slowdowns that we possibly could as
1668s those things are fresher that's king is
1670s that is is teleport can not like the
1672s nurse it cannot be used in a chase you
1675s can but you can also fake but it's not a
1679s direct like gaining ground in a chase
1681s it's just very rarely gonna unless the
1683s Sprint bursts towards the generator and
1685s then you teleport yeah so like edge KC
1686s shit but it's not the same thing as the
1688s nurse the nurse has a lot more control
1690s in those regards
1691s so I don't think we're gonna make our
1692s slower at the moment him slower at the

1759s get into a chase yeah it's more of a
1760s memory game than anything else it's not

1765s you didn't know you can actually use the
1767s map and it will highlight the killer
1769s belongings usually Remo map by default
1772s it will show you the dream pallets even
1775s if you're asleep and the and the add-on
1779s for the map that also shows you the
1780s killer belongings okay with that as well
1782s so there are sisters but it's not really
1784s in the winners opportunity perk unless
1786s you're really using it for your memory

1835s to do any changes to the slowdown make
1839s it more intense or less intense or the
1841s number of tokens that you have to play
1843s streams these are things that we're not
1844s touching at the moment we're gonna see
1846s how it plays out in live and then we
1848s will adjust accordingly after but we do
1851s believe that he's in a good place now I

1940s status affects that we're aiming for at
1941s the moment we deliberately avoided using
1945s exposed and exhausted those are big ones
1948s yeah they're they're really impactful
1949s and we can have those perhaps on perks
1952s or other ways other abilities we're
1955s going to maybe try to avoid using them
1956s in add-ons mmm it may not be the case we
1959s might find out that this is not it's
1960s still underwhelming or whatever the case
1961s may be
1962s hemorrhage on the other hand especially
1964s with the z block you can get it working
1966s on healthy survivors as well as injured
1968s survivors oh that's cool so you can it's
1972s it's very good for a tracking tool so
1974s ultimately the Z block is meant as a
1975s tracking tool and not as a I'm going to
1978s destroy survivors
1980s which I think people were expecting the
1982s old z block was very strong as well so
1986s we're not gonna change this at the
1987s moment we're gonna be looking into this
1990s we understand the feedback so far on the
1992s add-on is fairly underwhelming but we'd
1994s like to try it out in the wild before
1995s jumping to any conclusions ourselves all
1998s right and we also think that the base
2002s kit for Freddy is actually pretty strong
2003s so I don't know if the add-ons really
2005s need to send them over the top yeah
2007s that's it if you're very strong and I
2011s add exposed what I can do is put it that

2018s specifically about the map hmm first one

2027s versions of a map for every map in the
2029s game like you did for spring would even
2031s if it's just for maps like lankan Lane

2041s looking for so far we only have plans to
2044s create map variations in licensed themes
2046s which only had one map which only had
2049s one map so ultimately I don't know if
2052s we're gonna going back to like let's say
2053s the farm
2053s and then creating five more variants for
2055s each one of those maps that would equate
2057s to like 25 the others already maps under
2059s the four maps in these one yeah yeah so
2061s this this effort for Springwood and what
2064s you're seeing is something that we're
2065s trying to put into all of our maps have
2069s an equal distribution yeah when we're
2071s choosing the different matters that was
2072s the big intention behind yeah and we
2075s can't necessarily make other variations
2077s in some cases we're restrained just by
2081s the licensing yeah agreement this is a
2083s fantastic way to get around that I hope
2086s you guys have been enjoying it from what
2087s I've seen they have been with the new
2089s variations the different lengths and

2094s do work on tiles specifically add

2157s pallets for survivor to deal with but he
2159s really needs to know how to chain them

2163s so are we looking to do this for the
2164s other maps I do believe so I keep I hope
2167s that you guys are not expecting this
2168s like tomorrow or by the end of the year
2171s even cuz this is gonna be a long process

2177s through one by one when we have the

2293s because those generators become more
2295s important as the game progresses exactly
2297s what it does mean as well well I mean
2299s because you have dream snares and you
2300s have dream pellets you've had time to
2302s set them up and that means that the map
2303s should be littered at that point and you
2306s should be gaining strength in your other
2307s part of your power which is the placing
2309s of traps the teleport is to put early
2311s pressure on and pressure about the
2313s little game until you get to the endgame
2314s we thought about letting you teleport to
2316s exit

2493s perk tiers so that each perk only has
2495s one version with 65 total survivor perks
2499s and a 60 total killer perks this would
2501s alleviate the most oppressive aspects of
2503s the grind and actually make prestige

2507s requiring players to put time into
2509s building up characters I think this is a
2512s great question this is something that we
2513s have looked into multiple times I don't
2516s think we're gonna be pulling the trigger
2517s on that just yet we're going to explore
2519s something else first we are definitely
2521s looking to make B grind less intensive

2527s removing perk tiers is not something
2528s we're gonna do right now just to
2530s reiterate again we're gonna give you our
