857s so that was the moment of nice ok let's
859s talk about Freddie rework how did we
862s change all of this
865s well how and why I guess with me well
867s yes we can say why but I mean you talked
870s a little bit about it in the anniversary
871s stream so so it get back on that so
875s ultimately there were some frustrations
877s playing ads and against the nightmare
878s which Terry and I as well as other
880s members of the team have tried to work
881s towards alleviating yeah by addressing
884s the to power and changing things that
886s were
887s it's fun so for example putting someone
889s to sleep waiting seven seconds and then
891s being able to hit them was frustrating
892s for a lot of killers any time you're not
894s able to hit someone it's very
896s frustrating yeah absolutely and that was
899s kind of part of Freddie's kit before his
902s life yeah other than that he had a 50%
904s action speed debuff for survivors which
906s meant that doing actions were rather
908s long of course this would want you to
909s get out of the dream or force you get
911s out of the dream but it was a bit too
912s imposing it's it's a powerful thing to
915s do but it's it's pure frustration yeah
918s so it's not the funnest power so we
920s thought took that out and in addition to
922s that there was no consistent way to wake
924s up yeah so when you're the last person
926s getting those skill checks was very
928s difficult and would give away your
929s location of course as well so we've
931s addressed these things in addition to
933s the the dream world vision which was
937s problematic for some people yeah it was
939s a little dark because a little grainy it
941s was yeah tough to navigate yeah okay
944s so now how how does that work how does
947s the sleep work cuz I just need sleep is
949s still a huge part of this sleep is a
951s huge part of this the sleep cycle in
952s general so ultimately I'm gonna start
955s with people who are awake yes please
956s would you mind rolling some video my
958s friend there I thought that we are not
960s even calling them awake now this is just
963s regular time no this is micro sleep yeah
965s that's the thing oh that was a short
968s video I think we can do better
969s oh okay would you like to explain it
972s okay so basically micro sleep is the new
976s way we'll balance Fredi being invisible
978s when you're awake so basically since
981s we've pretty much reward the sleeping
984s mechanics and you can eat people when
986s when they're awake you will of course be

992s always see Freddie and and when they're
995s between 16 and 22 meters you will see

1109s takes 60 seconds to fall asleep and it's
1111s passive it happens at all time so
1113s everybody starts and you see the timer's
1115s of everybody go down up to sixty seconds

1121s hear the lullaby as I mentioned earlier

1125s LLY as we just mentioned you know is

1130s should be very difficult to know more

1191s mechanics yes please tne would you like
1194s to bring us through the three ways that
1196s people can wake up ok so there's many
1197s way to wake up right firstly there's a
1199s all the interest the felling the skill
1202s checks but that's still the case
1204s yeah that's the case I think many people
1207s some people that II many people the team
1209s loved it so we're keeping it it's I mean

1214s you reveal your position to the killer

1292s farthest from you so it's a little bit

1299s procedural the placement of the key and
1302s everything but there's there's only one
1303s that's for you and it's always gonna be

1531s the AG traps so basically the oldest one
1534s disappears and it's replacing them yes
1537s and you also don't have a slowdown if
1539s you're watching in the video right now
1540s there is no slowdown when your laser
1542s traps they do take a second to arm so
1545s you can't necessarily place it on
1546s someone who's running in front of you
1547s it's more so to when they get back
1550s around the Loom the alter that you can
1552s use it effectively good so that's the
1555s dream snares obviously these can be
1557s slightly modified by some add-ons that
1560s we have which may be fun ish yes you can
1563s trigger some status effects when people

1565s what I have in mind second one is dream
1570s projection which is gonna be the
1572s funkiest for sure yes so this is his nap
1574s pressure tool the dream snares is more
1576s for chases so a dream protection allows
1580s you to teleport to a generator by
1582s channeling an ability I think there's a
1585s typo there
1586s protects enough so dream projection
1592s causes the generator to explode in blood
1594s while you're teleporting towards it and
1595s a copy of Freddie comes out of the
1597s ground which you then take place of that
1600s Freddie if you cancel at any time the
1604s blood will stop Freddie doesn't come out
1606s of the generator and your power goes on
1609s cooldown so the whole thing is on a
1610s cool-down the holding on cooldown so we
1612s have 45 seconds cooldown by teleport
1615s again yeah but if survivors are asleep
1617s you get a reduced cooldown 50% per
1621s sleeping survivor which means that if
1623s you have a lot of sleeping people you
1626s can teleport everywhere a new life
1628s 60% cooldown yeah and is one of the best
1631s laughs in our game yeah yeah and I think
1635s with others I have been reached up to
1636s 80% yeah it's a percent reduction so
1639s I've fun with this guys it's gonna be
1642s and I think that clown has the best
1645s laugh really
1646s I know the doctor is pretty dope too I
1648s just like the clown only it's really
1650s like rusty - there you go
1654s so that's dream projection yes and then
1657s there's a special little thing that
1659s happens if you use some add-ons corrects
1662s specific add-ons we're not go into the
1664s specific towns before I'm sorry does
1667s calm spirit prevent people from
1670s screaming when you step on a snare
1671s that's a very good question

1712s pallets around the map ultimately
1714s they're only visible to sleeping
1715s survivors and only sleeping survivors
1716s can interact with them other than like
1718s the doctor where his illusionary
1720s illusionary palettes will disappear when
1722s you get close and left in this case when
1725s you drop it the palette will explode in
1727s blood so people will actually no stay
1731s next to the palette and then hold on to
1733s the button and laugh because you're
1734s coming to them and they'll be able to
1736s snap it on your head but instead it'll
1737s explode into blood and the middle died
1739s yeah one of my favorite moments is
1740s macking somebody through the blood yes
1742s that's very satisfying yeah also
1744s contrary to the to the doctor unless I'm
1747s mistaken the doctor can only spawn
1749s during like is fake pallets on already
1751s broken pallets but for three pallets
1753s it's on all possible pilot spots from
1755s the map so exactly so as a survivor your
1759s job when you're playing as he dreams of
1761s memory good is to play a memory game

1845s pretty interesting power for both the
1846s killer into solar but it gets pretty
1847s intense there's one question that I
1849s might expect people to ask which is you
1851s know why would you wake up playing it's
1853s the nightmare and ultimately if the
1854s killer is very good at using his traps
1857s and using a generator teleport you will
1860s want to wake up as quick as possible to
1862s not give him that kind of power

1865s traps it might not be as appealing to
1868s wake up and we might not necessarily it
1870s might not be as critical but it's never
1871s an advantage to be sleeping yeah it's
1875s never good but it might not be that bad

2111s an add-on you can switch the dreams
2113s there's two dreamy palettes so the green
2115s snares are the pools of blood you step
2117s in people scream slows you down makes
2120s you unable to fast volts exactly it has
2124s a lingering effect of three seconds we
2125s did not mention that yes it's just
2128s enough to cut the chase literally cut to
2131s you chase you catch up pretty much a
2132s blood level 1 then the
2136s projection is when you teleport to a
2139s generator yes and then the pallets are
2142s something you can swap the snares for
2145s and it's a fake pallet that you can put
2147s anywhere and then people put it down and
2150s then it's like a shower of blood and
2152s then you laugh and then you kill them
2153s exactly okay our actions hinder during
2156s sleep no not anymore

2160s there are still add-ons that will slow
2162s people down when they're sleeping
