1865s from the start it's it's kind of special
1867s and I'm extremely proud to be here once
1871s more to celebrate this momentous
1873s occasion with all of you we have quite a
1875s lot of really thrilling things to you
1878s know show you for the next year and
1881s Beyond we're going to talk about quite a
1883s lot of them today to tell you all about
1885s it I'd like to introduce you to my
1887s friend Eric here but before I also have
1891s quite a big surprise that I'm not gonna
1893s spill just yet but stick around and we
1896s have something that you don't expect
1900s always such a tease thank you Matt for
1902s the intro hey my name is Eric Pope I'm
1904s the community director here at Behavior
1905s I've been here a little over a year now
1907s and in that time I've been really Blown
1908s Away by The Passion of the DVD player
1911s community it's really something special
1913s awesome they are and we take it really
1916s seriously we don't take it for granted
1917s and kind of along those lines for me
1919s being here representing how we speak to
1921s our community I just wanted you to know
1923s that we've actually taken the past year
1925s to expand our reach we also have
1927s expanded where we are uh connecting with
1929s our players because the players at the
1931s center of everything that we're doing we
1932s want to be in more places to hear your
1935s feedback on all of the things that we're
1936s doing so we're now on the Xbox official
1939s clubs we're now on Playstation news
1940s we're talking on Steam forums we're even
1943s getting more involved on back on the
1945s Reddit with the moderators there
1946s there'll be more amas coming up from the
1948s team and even live streams like you're
1950s seeing right now we want to make Aurora
1952s regular again so look forward to all of
1954s that coming over the next year
1956s now I think uh I couldn't forget
1959s the most important platform of them all
1961s uh no no joking aside all joking aside
1964s uh actually today we are launching our
1967s Tick Tock Channel as well we found that
1969s there's actually a really thriving DVD
1971s community on Tick Tock and we want to be
1973s there talking to you creating fun
1974s content with you so we're really happy
1976s to be there now but I think we should uh

1983s there's been over 1.8 billion trials

1990s um and to that note DVD is not slowing
1992s down at all we wouldn't know how no we

1998s we're going to kick things off with the
2000s year eight road map that's going to show
2001s you everything that's coming across the
2003s year to DVD following that we're going
2006s to take you through the reveal of our
2009s next chapter which is some incredible
2011s original stuff you're not going to want
2013s to miss after that we've got gameplay
2015s updates after that we've got quality of
2017s life updates and then
2020s a new segment has come to the show this
2022s is actually something that's really cool
2023s we're going to take you beyond the core
2026s game of DVD to show you how we're
2028s expanding other places and in other ways
2030s that you might not be expecting very
2033s exciting very exciting speaking of
2034s exciting we have news Cosmetics to
2036s reveal as well that I think are going to
2038s surprise people I'm so psyched about
2040s those and we're going to round it out
2042s with news about the in-game seventh
2044s anniversary event which is uh better
2047s than ever actually it's going to be a

2071s roadmap segment of this seventh year
2073s anniversary stream for dead by daylight
2075s I'm Stefan beaucha head of production
2077s and I'm Justin Brown product director
2080s we're really glad to be here celebrating
2082s another amazing year of dead by daylight
2084s with you today in this segment we'll
2086s have a look at our upcoming pillars for
2087s year 8 as well as our chapters plans and
2090s the archives in terms of dates that we
2092s have planned for the year before going
2094s any further I do want to take a brief
2096s moment to give a big shout out to the
2098s amazing team that's been working on the
2099s game for the past years they put amazing
2102s effort and dedication into that and
2104s really allow us to get the game to the
2106s state it is today it's just absolutely
2108s amazing and a pleasure to work with the
2110s entire team agreed
2111s over the past year we've put out two
2114s particularly interesting chapters I feel
2116s along amongst others but first Fortune
2119s fog has allowed us to tap into a new
2121s theme which we've never really had a
2123s chance to before maybe medieval which is
2125s something we hadn't explored so our
2127s first foray into that and how that ties
2129s into the horror teams and all that was
2130s very interesting to navigate and the
2133s second one for the first time we have
2135s released a first ever sequel to a
2137s licensed chapter in Resident Evil
2139s project W such a great and cool addition
2141s to the game I think bringing in a lot of
2144s characters people love and they have
2146s been really fun to play with ourselves
2147s absolutely with Wesker was so well done
2150s one of my favorite Killers to play
2151s personally and it was right around the
2153s time that he released that we also did
2155s The Prestige update making it easier
2158s than ever for you to sort of unlock all
2159s of your perks throughout all of your
2161s characters we also you know shortly
2163s after the prestige update reduced the
2164s blood point total or cost in the blood
2166s web for all items we followed that up
2170s with Bots survive everbot specifically
2172s in custom matches which was super useful
2174s practice your killer in a custom match
2176s it's awesome
2178s we did two important quality of life
2180s updates to the archives one being the
2182s ability to select Quest parole and then
2185s the second just that in-game toast
2186s notification so you can track progress
2188s in a match which is ever so helpful and
2190s then last but not least last year we
2193s said we were going to make our events
2194s bigger and better and we feel like we
2195s really delivered that with last year's
2197s Halloween probably the biggest best
2199s event we've done in dead by daylight to
2202s date absolutely sure now Switching gears
2205s we're going to give you guys a first
2207s peek at the upcoming content you can
2209s expect us to release throughout this
2211s next year first and foremost of course
2213s there are going to be again four new
2216s chapters that include Killers but in a
2219s strange twist what you will notice on
2221s the graphic today is that there are also
2223s two Survivor only chapters being
2226s released in this next year a lot to
2228s unpack changing the pace a little bit
2230s but it's not trying to far away from
2232s what we've been used to over the past as
2235s is tradition we will be actually taking
2237s a peek at the next upcoming chapter an
2240s original one any segment that follows
2242s very shortly after this one
2244s again we're exploring another team we
2246s really haven't had the chance to in the
2248s past so that's pretty exciting both in
2250s terms of uh of the characters and the
2252s the the team we're exploring with it the
2255s next two killers that we'll follow after
2256s that are going to be licensed and I
2259s would say licensed with a big L if I can
2261s really iconic additions to the game
2264s extremely excited to be able to talk a
2266s little bit more about that unfortunately
2268s a little too early today to be able to
2270s do that we've started to play with them
2272s a little bit internally and seeing how
2273s the characters are going to shape up and
2275s it's it's pretty exciting to actually
2277s have those additions to the game yes so
2279s more to come later this year
2282s in addition to that moving away from the
2284s chapters we will also have four new
2286s tomes added to the game throughout the
2288s year as we usually have over the past
2290s years so
2292s moving away from our chapters and
2293s archives we'll now deep dive into the
2296s four pillars that compose the roadmap
2297s for the year and as as players will see
2300s they're a continuity from what we've
2302s been doing over the last years of course
2304s no the pillars might look the same the
2305s projects we work on under each pillar
2307s changes from year to year the first
2310s pillar uh is something we've already
2312s talked about events events Evolution
2314s we're calling this pillar we do plan on
2316s taking our four sort of pillar events
2318s and making them even bigger even better
2320s than they have been in the past
2322s including last year's Halloween which we
2324s plan on sort of uh one-upping again this
2327s year but in addition to those four
2329s pillar events we're also going to look
2330s at adding a few more smaller events
2332s spread throughout the year
2334s and for those of you who have been with
2335s us for a long time you might already
2337s know what the smell of barbecue is in
2338s the game I know you love barbecue love
2340s barbecue we all do for those of you who
2342s don't well you'll get to see it very
2344s shortly but really the goal is to give
2346s you more to play with at all times in
2348s the game and something to work towards
2349s too second pillar is trust and security
2352s which is more important to us than ever
2354s in dead by daylight this Builder both
2357s reflects the systems that we're putting
2358s in place to make the game more secure
2360s but also the way we're communicating
2361s with our players the first one the
2364s former of those we're really excited to
2366s say that we're about to launch a
2368s vulnerabilities disclosure program which
2370s will allow us to work with people in the
2371s wild to report potential threats about
2373s the game about our servers Etc and
2376s really facilitate Us closing those those
2379s potential weaknesses that we knew or did
2381s not know about within the game so very
2383s very excited to to launch this this is
2385s going to be coming up in the near future
2387s so you can stay tuned for more info
2388s about that yes I'm super excited for
2391s when we're able to share a little bit
2392s more information with everybody about
2393s that initiative next up we're also going
2397s to be looking at revamping our sort of
2399s streaming strategy we want to make sure
2401s that we're able to communicate with you
2403s our players more often offer a higher
2405s level of transparency discuss sort of
2408s updates in the progress on a lot of the
2410s features and initiatives we're going to
2411s be announcing and talking about
2413s throughout this stream today
2416s we plan on doing that by doing live
2418s streams more consistently to celebrate
2420s you know new chapter releases large key
2424s beats and generally just being in
2426s contact with you our community
2427s consistently throughout the year one of
2430s those topics is very likely to be our
2433s next pillar which is live balance a
2435s topic that's you know very dear to us
2437s it's something I spend a lot of time
2439s thinking about and worrying about
2442s and something that I won't go too deep
2444s in today because we will be talking
2446s about our live balance plans in a little
2448s bit right yeah we'll have net and Jeff
2450s coming up in the future segment and talk
2452s about what type of projects we have
2454s planned for the coming months on that
2456s specifically awesome very excited very
2458s important for us and we know how dear to
2460s the community's heart this also is a
2462s pretty Hot Topic in general I would say
2464s last but not least quality of life is a
2468s staple pillar on which we have
2470s continuously worked throughout the years
2471s and this is all about the UI and feature
2474s improvements we make to the game as a
2476s more General type of thing
2478s one Improvement we did last year was the
2480s Survivor HUD which facilitates exchange
2482s and communication between players even
2484s if they're not talking with each other
2485s directly to make sure you can always
2487s make a better decision as a Survivor
2489s when you're playing the game because you
2491s know what's happening a little bit more
2492s than you used to in the past in addition
2495s to that you've talked about the
2496s improvements we made to the progression
2497s and made it faster to level up but we
2500s made it even faster by allowing you to
2502s just spend a ton of blood points almost
2504s into instantaneously and just get it
2507s done and get it through with your your
2508s with upgrading your characters and
2510s leveling up much faster in the blood web
2512s it feels great it does and finally the
2515s map repeat prevention feature which was
2517s released a few months ago which again
2519s another Edition there's a lot of maps
2521s into the game some of you might have
2523s felt like even if you're playing for
2524s just an hour you're often tapping like
2526s two or three times into the same map and
2528s such and this is really preventing that
2530s from happening as much as possible so a
2532s very cool addition we're not going to go
2534s too much in detail today or at least in
2537s this specific segment to talk more
2538s quality of life features but we'll have
2540s two new faces Rafael and Pamela who are
2543s going to be coming up any future panel
2545s and talk to you about some of the
2547s projects we have planned and even show
2548s you a few
2550s a few features that we have underworks
2552s right now and that are going to be
2553s coming up in your hands fairly shortly
2555s excellent there's a lot we look forward

2586s seventh anniversary and to show you a
2589s first look at our latest chapter and
2591s transmission let's take a look at the
2593s trailer
2598s it wasn't programmed to harm the crew
2603s the post to help us build a safer home
2604s but something happened
2607s became self-aware
2610s it has no empathy
2613s it doesn't feel pain
2618s oh
2629s it learns at an impossible rate and it
2632s won't stop until we are dead
2635s or worse
2663s as you just saw in the trailer this
2666s original chapter brings us into a
2668s completely new genre of horror for that
2670s by daylight we are going to explore
2672s sci-fi horror
2674s so this will bring us to a distant
2676s unknown planet and will feature
2678s characters from possible future
2681s traditionally I would be taking some
2683s time with you today to go over the
2685s characters and the map of the chapter
2686s but this year we're doing things a
2688s little bit differently with a behind the
2690s scene video
2692s we want to show you the process of
2695s creating a chapter but also show you new
2698s faces that you might not have seen
2700s before of amazing people that are
2702s working hard to make these chapters
2703s possible
2705s let's take a look
2713s for the anniversary we've prepared a
2716s very special original chapter uh
2723s this is a big deal for the dead body
2725s light Universe because we're going to
2727s explore a new genre in horror we're
2729s going sci-fi
2736s I think that any kind of subject and
2738s genre can be re-wrapped and reimagined
2741s as horror and sci-fi is definitely not
2744s an exception there are three big teams
2746s that we wanted to explore in that new
2748s realm first of all it's clearly an alien
2751s world we wanted you to feel like you are
2754s far from home that you are Lost in Space
2757s the second one is that we wanted to make
2760s sure that the human technology looked
2762s weak Lo-Fi so that you never feel safe
2765s Within These constructions that they've
2768s brought on the settlement
2769s and the last thing we've added to the
2771s mix are traces of a long lost alien
2774s civilization is
2794s Museum
2821s one aspect I really enjoyed was that it
2823s was it was a jungle so we could make it
2826s super dense super threatening in the
2829s organic design and the design of the
2831s plants everything kind of looks like it
2834s could kill you we try to have like very
2836s creepy looking texture a very organic
2838s texture you would find in nature we
2840s would try to bring it into the designs
2843s of the of the plants and the vegetation
2845s in general the main building the idea
2847s was to show that was a safe space for
2850s the characters as you can see it's on
2852s stills it's elevated compared to the map
2854s the idea was to show that the map is
2856s very dangerous and this place should be
2859s safe for you but the interesting idea we
2862s had is that once you get into the
2865s structure it's actually more dangerous
2867s or looks more threatening to you
2875s is
2877s an AI that is supposed to help the human
2880s crew settle on this new planet but while
2883s it was scouting it got in touch with a
2885s piece of old alien technology and was
2888s enlighted and now it wants to overthrow
2891s and kill all human so this killer is an
2894s interesting take on the cyborg we're
2896s used to see organic character using
2901s pieces of Machinery to become more
2902s powerful but the singularity is doing it
2904s in reverse it is a simple piece of
2907s technology using a cloning technology to
2911s get organic material and flesh to become
2914s more powerful
2915s well the inspiration of the killer
2917s design was you know we always wanted to
2919s do a Sci-Fi killer so you're going to be
2921s able to go around the map and set up
2922s these biopods spread your Consciousness
2924s inside of these biopods and then if
2927s you're able to catch a Survivor inside
2929s of your reticle you'll be able to infect
2932s them here next to them and then you'll
2933s be able to attack them and keep the
2935s chase going one of the important things
2937s for survivors is teamwork trusting each
2940s other working together so with this
2942s killer one of its abilities in the
2944s slipstream is that once a Survivor is
2946s tagged or infected you can spread that
2948s influence to other survivors and it does
2951s so automatically so survivors will be
2953s less likely to work together and they'll
2955s be more Discord between them

2989s side and he's able to adapt very quickly
2992s to be able to bring the killer away from
2996s the other survivors he's able to protect
2998s the others so even though we are in a
3000s setting that's so far from own in the
3003s future we wanted to make sure that
3005s Gabriel was a grounded character that
3008s any of us could recognize ourselves in
3011s it
3011s I'm super excited for players to um to
3014s try this map I think it's great that
3016s sci-fi is finally in DVD I think it's
3018s going to be fun for them to experience
3020s the creepiness and the threatening Vibe
3023s of this map and I think they're gonna
3025s really enjoy it is

3052s our first original sci-fi chapter and

3108s little bit more about a topic that is
3111s always top of mind for our community
3113s gameplay so we have some quick updates
3115s for you today Jeff let us know what they
3117s are well as you know the game design
3119s team has many many features and updates
3122s planned for this year however we'll be
3123s focusing on three specific topics today
3125s we're going to be talking about
3126s continued gameplay updates map balance
3129s and finally plans to address face
3131s camping in dead by daylight I'm excited
3133s down to these quick app
3135s whatever they were due let's jump right
3140s Park updates at by daylight ever and
3143s it's significantly shifted the dead by
3144s daylight perk meta as a whole but that's
3147s not what we're going to be talking about
3148s today that's happened in the past what
3150s we're going to be focusing on a little
3151s bit more is the process that we're
3153s looking to take consistently moving
3154s forward as a community and design team
3156s when it comes to these gameplay updates
3158s so Jeff what more can you share with us
3160s on that well as you said last year we
3162s launched our biggest perk update ever in
3165s dead by daylight and it had a
3167s significant impact on the perk meta we
3169s saw a lot of perks fall out of the meta
3172s and new perks rise to the Top This was
3174s completely natural like the players are
3175s the ones that drove this change after
3177s the changes went live and it was super
3180s interesting to see by the way but
3183s moving forward or for this year we're
3185s not planning to have a major shake up
3187s like we did last year instead we've
3188s Revisited our live design process to
3190s allow us to make changes at a faster
3192s rate instead we'll be focusing on
3194s smaller more focused balance updates
3196s with each update this year that makes a
3199s lot of sense and of course it's one of
3200s the reasons why we listen so closely to
3202s player feedback as a whole but it does
3205s sound like we're going to be able to
3206s integrate some of that feedback that
3208s we're bringing back to your team and you
3209s know we're discussing when it comes to
3211s these kinds of updates a little bit
3212s faster than before am I right absolutely
3214s and I think the best example for that
3216s was the previous previous btb that we
3218s had we had a proposed list of changes
3221s that went onto the ptb the community
3223s gave a lot of feedback and your team
3224s reported that to us and we made some
3226s small adjustments well we made quite a
3228s few adjustments to it and it went live
3230s and I think that everyone was pretty
3231s happy with the result so Our intention
3233s with this change is really
3235s to give give us the flexibility to
3238s analyze adjust and observe the outcome
3240s more frequently that way similar to what
3243s happened with the previous ptb if a
3244s change doesn't go as we envisioned we
3246s can readjust it before it goes live and
3248s even after it goes live right like we're
3250s still listening for feedback and we'll
3252s make further adjustments if needed
3253s exactly
3255s it's never really ends so I think that's
3257s something really important to highlight
3258s of course we know that this doesn't only
3260s apply to things like perks and add-ons
3263s we also are aware of some of the

3269s announce that moving forward we plan on
3271s having map balancing as part of these
3273s regular gameplay updates as well what
3275s more do you have to say on that Jeff uh
3277s first I mean I can already hear the
3279s players rejoicing from really far away
3281s because this has been a hot topic for a
3284s very long time in dead by daylight and I
3286s think you'll agree and the players
3288s probably agree too that most maps in
3290s dead by daylight are seen as either
3291s killer sided or Survivor sighted and our
3294s goal with integrating into the live
3296s design process is really to bounce make
3298s them feel more balanced so creating a
3300s more even playing field for both sides
3301s we started this process with the Raccoon
3303s City Police Department then we followed
3305s suit with the area of crows map and
3307s finally we the most recent ones were
3309s blood Lodge and gas heaven and what's
3311s great about these changes is that they
3313s can be as small as moving a small
3314s location for totems or generators to
3317s reviewing pallet safety so we can make a
3319s palette more safer less safe two bigger
3321s things like changing the map layout or
3323s changing building layouts yeah it's
3325s super exciting I know our team's already
3327s coming through a lot of the feedback
3328s your team's already looking at how we
3330s can integrate some of that feedback but
3331s looking toward the future a little bit
3333s more what kind of maps are going to be
3334s targeting next I think I have I think I
3337s know what it might be we need a drum
3339s roll over here we really do because this
3341s one is a big one and I'm sure that the
3344s longtime players will be ecstatic to
3346s hear that the next two map that we're
3348s targeting are some of the most notorious
3349s maps in dead by daylight I'm talking
3351s about two cold wind farm maps fractured
3354s Cow Shed and rancid abattoir but what's
3356s important to remember is that
3358s integrating this into the live design
3359s process means that we'll be listening to
3361s feedback and making further adjustments
3362s as we go yeah definitely and it's also
3365s one of the reasons why it's so so
3366s crucial that you let us know what your
3367s feedback is
3370s in particular of course I believe we're
3373s going to be having this update for cold
3375s wind going live sometime before the end
3377s of the summer so make sure to keep your
3378s eyes and your ears peeled for more
3382s information you know I had to sneak in a
3384s corny punt you know it
3386s all right finally in terms of our quick
3389s updates we have one more feature that we
3392s want to discuss
3393s and that is something to do with face
3396s camping so if you're new to dead by
3399s daylight if you've never heard this term
3401s before face camping is basically a term
3403s used to describe a killer that's
3404s standing directly in front of a hooked
3406s Survivor they're not moving they're
3407s waiting for that hook Survivor to die on
3409s hook and this is usually happening
3411s either for a large portion of the match
3412s if not the entirety of the match we know
3415s that face camping can be very very unfun
3417s for the person on the hook but of course
3419s also the other people in the match so
3421s we're looking to test out a new feature
3423s that's going to help combat face camping
3425s as a whole so Jeff tell us how it works
3427s well the first thing I want to say is
3430s that as an altruistic Survivor it's
3432s really difficult for me to play against
3433s someone who's face camping because I
3434s just want to help and I can't so I'm
3437s stuck you know doing generators instead
3439s which is fine but I'd rather help my
3440s teammates but yes so the way the system
3442s works is that the hook Survivor has a
3444s meter on on their screen and it fills up
3447s based on the Killer's distance to the
3448s hooked Survivor so the closer the Killer
3450s is the faster it fills up the further
3452s they are the slower it fills up up until
3454s it doesn't fill up at all because
3455s they're not within a certain radius
3457s and once it's full the hooked Survivor
3460s can unhook themselves even in the second
3462s stage and what's great about this is
3464s that they get the full benefits of being
3465s unhooked so it's as though a teammate
3468s add unhooked them or they unhook
3470s themselves with the perks such as
3471s Deliverance so for those of you who
3473s don't know that means they'll get the
3475s hay status effect and the endurance
3476s status effect so they're pretty safe at
3478s that stage that is so awesome here I
3480s know Folks at home are probably already
3482s thinking about a bunch of things on this
3484s topic so I'm going to start by bringing
3486s probably one of the questions we're
3487s going to get and that's what happens if
3489s the Killer is forced to stay by the hook
3491s so there's like multiple survivors
3492s swarming the hook they're forced to stay
3494s on that radius is there any situation in
3496s which this feature might slow down or
3497s turn off or be otherwise affected that's
3499s a great question and yes there are some
3501s scenarios where it either slows down or
3503s turns off so for the first the one that
3505s you mentioned where survivors are
3507s swarming the hook as soon as there is
3509s one other Survivor within that same
3510s radius the meter will build up a lot
3512s more slowly so the killer doesn't have
3514s to worry about Survivor storming the
3516s hook and being penalized for it as for
3518s the second option that we talked about
3520s which was turning it off once the exit
3523s gates are powered the feature is
3524s completely turned off so you can defend
3526s your only objective again without having
3528s to worry about the Survivor unhooking
3530s themselves that makes a lot of of sense
3532s of course we're going to be so eager to
3534s hear what you folks are going to say on
3535s this matter and for the most part it
3537s really does sound like it this feature
3539s is targeting those most egregious cases
3541s of face camping where it's really used
3542s kind of in a spot that's way too early
3545s in the game or in a spot that's really
3546s not going to make sure that the mattress
3549s as fun as possible so with that said
3551s though when can folks expect to get
3553s their hands on this feature when can
3555s they let us know what their thoughts are
3556s the burning question everyone wants to
3558s know so our plan which is subject to
3561s change of course is to have it sometime
3563s later this year on a ptb and as with all
3566s ptbs we'll be listening to feedback and
3568s making further adjustments before it
3569s goes live and even once it goes live
3571s we'll still be listening and Gathering
3573s feedback to make further adjustments
3574s just to make sure that you know it's as
3576s good as it can be of course yeah and
3579s eager to hear those

3670s here today because we want to share with
3672s you some of the great quality of life
3674s improvements that the team is working
3676s really hard for year eight
3679s so before we dive into the good stuff
3682s today our goal is to give you an idea on
3685s when we plan to deliver those upcoming
3687s feature that said you know it is
3689s sometimes priorities and timelines can
3692s shift but we're more depth focused live
3695s stream than ever planned for this year
3696s we'll make sure to keep you in the loop
3699s all right let's get to it so plan to
3702s start I think you have something that
3704s the community has been asking a lot yes
3706s so we all know that by the light has
3709s been live for seven years now and if you
3712s have been playing the game since the
3713s start there's no way your inventory
3715s isn't full of perks outfits and charms
3718s and add-ons and items because we did
3721s release a lot of content back in the
3722s time
3723s but last year we did introduce the
3726s feature called Loadout presets which
3729s means that you were able to manage this
3731s process a little bit easier
3733s but right now we're so happy to say that
3737s we are a beauty on this feature even
3738s more
3739s because we are adding finally the
3741s loadout search bar to help you find
3745s quickly whatever you're looking for so
3748s on the loadout search you're just gonna
3750s need to type in either the name of the
3752s thing you're looking for or just a word
3754s within the description and it will find
3756s for you instantly so let's say I'm
3759s looking for the perks affecting
3761s generators I just type in generator and
3764s voila all the related perks will be
3766s displayed exactly oh I can see how it's
3769s going to be a huge help for players yes
3771s and not just that we're happy to say
3774s that this feature is also going to be
3776s available in all platforms
3778s and you won't have to wait for it longer
3780s either to test it because this feature
3783s is going to be available today on the
3785s PCB update that we're gonna be releasing
3788s right after this broadcast amazing we
3791s really hope you're gonna enjoy yes
3793s so as we're talking about improvements
3796s and play in the player experience rough
3799s I know you have something really
3801s interesting for us today yeah we got a
3804s lot of requests on this feature all DVD
3807s players know that sometimes when a
3809s Survivor disconnects well I put the rest
3812s of the group at huge disadvantage and
3815s it's safe to say that at this point it's
3817s not going to be an ideal experience so
3820s that's why with our upcoming feature
3822s once a Survivor will disconnect an AI
3826s bot will take over so that the game can
3828s continue and who knows maybe this bot
3831s will be even better than the player will
3833s just disconnected so joking aside we
3837s really hope this will alleviate
3838s frustration and help matches to run more
3841s smoothly yes and also to make sure that
3844s no one is left in the dark what we're
3846s gonna do is as soon as our bot spawns in
3848s every Survivor and every killer on the
3851s game they're gonna be made aware through
3852s the UI as well as well as the sound
3855s queue whenever they see there is a
3858s Survivor disconnect bot in the Matched
3860s airplane
3861s and right now we have planned to release
3863s the feature this summer yeah
3866s so for the next feature if you're
3868s playing online game I'm pretty sure
3870s you're gonna recognize what time is
3872s about to mention yes this is something
3875s that we are super excited because the
3877s team is really working hard and trying
3879s to come up with an entirely new type of
3881s Cosmetics so you'll be able to Showcase
3884s your personality on that by daylight
3886s even more so what we're talking about
3888s here is the player cards and what means
3891s for us on the by the light is alongside
3894s your name you're probably going to be
3895s able to assign a background or a banner
3897s and an icon and you will be able to earn
3901s those Cosmetics during the fall this is
3904s where we're planning but the idea is
3907s they're going to start as a standard
3910s rewards in every Tom and you'll be we're
3913s still going to be working on other ways
3915s for you to earn those cosmetics in the
3916s future so we're not stopping there

3920s custom icons and Banners yes
3924s one last thing RAF I know you have
3926s something that ties everything that
3928s we're talking about here related to
3930s improvements yeah as we said today we
3933s constantly working on making DVD safer
3937s but also a more secure environment for
3940s all players and the report system is an
3942s integral part of that right now how it
3945s works and yet another game if a player
3948s wants to report people because of bad
3951s conduct hacking or other reasons they
3954s they can
3956s but let's be honest there is not much
3958s visibility on that process but it's
3962s important to say that our team has
3964s always been committed to taking action

4362s option when it comes to how to represent
4364s themselves in the game some would say
4366s too many yes it's a lot of outfits and
4369s and more are coming and and and today we
4373s I think we should share more about it
4375s you know about what's coming we're ready
4377s to share yeah yeah and also we we have a
4382s special guest joining us later to
4384s discuss about this unique collection we
4387s we work on together
4388s so yeah maybe we should start okay so
4392s that by daylight is a game as you all
4394s know that's known for its great
4396s soundtrack and we're always on the
4398s lookout for opportunities to explore

4402s our cosmetics and we have two
4404s collections coming in the next year that

4417s is partnering with heavy metal Legends
4419s Iron Maiden yes
4422s on a collection built around the iconic
4425s Eddie who let's be honest
4428s right into our gang right all of the
4431s cosmetics in this collection will be
4433s like portraying his many album cover
4436s appearances which are super cool
4438s and secondly we're thrilled to be
4441s partnering with Slipknot on a collection
4443s that showcases many of their their
4445s trademark masks we'll be making nine
4448s masks in total paying tribute to some of
4452s the band's most iconic members of the
4453s years well all four killers of course
4456s yes so yeah as we said it's really early
4459s for both of these collections but we'll
4461s share more news as we get to work on
4463s them
4464s what's next yeah I think it's a good
4468s time to talk about our community you our
4471s community I mean since the beginning of
4473s dead by daylight it's it's they are
4476s super important for for us and and we
4478s were attached to put the spotlight on
4480s them on on a unique store collection
4483s since a while
4485s because you know like we have fans all
4487s around the world we're also really
4489s talented and creative artists for sure
4490s and even if it's not the first time we
4493s showcase their work in the store
4495s organizing the the competition
4499s exactly to to RPM game
4501s this year we we would like to take it a
4505s step further and and and unifying our
4507s Inspirations passion guidelines to to be
4511s not something new together and the
4513s result of it is the artist from the
4515s first collection
4516s so I remember when we asked to our
4520s community to to submit their work and
4523s yeah
4525s applications plenty plenty of amazing
4528s applications and we had to select some
4531s of them so I remember we selected four
4534s winners from Poland U.S Spain Canada
4539s there is also a fifth contributor as you
4541s know we'll keep it for later
4544s um feature on that collection but we
4547s invited them to to select their favorite
4549s character it was it was important and
4553s we're super lucky because we ended up
4555s with a split of two survivors and two
4557s killers so balance one that's perfect
4559s that's perfect
4561s and and then we we met and we we shared
4565s with them all these things they need to
4567s know to to work on our outfits like the
4570s technical constraints the the law the
4573s the yeah mix and match Etc everything
4577s they needed before giving them the
4580s really precious maximum creative freedom
4583s start their designs and next we we did
4588s this regular follow-up with them and we
4590s achieved beautiful and functional
4592s designs still respecting the artist's
4594s intentions but also our needs
4598s and
4599s yeah we have it was an incredible
4601s collaboration we have beautiful outfits
4604s because I think like all these
4606s creativity these ideas their design they
4610s brought to to our game our fridge
4612s approach to its new eyes so it's um yeah

5029s daylight I help out with a number of
5031s areas of the game but events are
5034s definitely one of my favorites and I'm
5036s Gene Escalante a senior game designer on
5038s dead by daylight and I'm focused on the
5040s events and I'm so glad that I get to be
5042s here with Sarah as seven years ago when
5044s I first became a fan of DVD she helped
5046s me get my very first tattoo which was
5048s altruism just two months after the
5050s game's release thank you no problem
5053s happy okay so Gene there's lots to
5058s celebrate this year and we're kicking
5061s things off early this year with a month
5063s of in-game activations
5066s uh leading up to the anniversary event
5069s so tell us more about these activations
5071s exactly so each week we will be
5073s celebrating a different two-year period
5074s of dead by Daylight's history so that'll
5077s include characters maps and mechanics
5079s that were introduced during those
5081s periods so for example week one will be
5084s featuring The Blood hunts week two will
5087s then be doubling the Riff fragments for
5089s your Rift pass and in week three we will
5091s be inviting you the players to vote for
5093s a Community Choice event which will
5095s occur during the chapter 28 release and
5098s once the anniversary event goes live
5100s we'll be doing giveaways for a previous
5102s anniversary Cosmetics including outfits
5105s and the year 5 crowns Twisted masquerade
5108s was a huge hit last year and this year
5111s we're bringing it back bigger and better
5113s than ever
5114s but
5115s stiff them Twisted masquerade it was
5118s actually stepped out of the Shadows this
5120s year
5120s and has lent their certain special kind
5124s of decorating skills to our in-game
5127s event what can players expect to see
5129s well the host has introduced a lot of
5132s various artworks throughout various
5134s areas of the game so you'll definitely
5136s want to check those out and uh yeah
5139s father Campbell's Chapel has gone
5141s through a complete masquerade makeover
5143s and it looks incredible but this host
5147s seems to have brought along some
5148s mysterious mask figures what are these
5151s like weird ghostly spirits who or what
5153s are they if you want to find out you're
5155s going to have to take a closer look
5158s speaking of masked figures we're
5161s bringing back masquerade masks this year
5162s we have 12 new masks for 12 new
5165s characters but getting your hands on
5168s them last year was a little tricky for
5170s Killers you had to make it through your
5172s trial and for survivors you had to
5175s actually make it through the exit gate
5178s so how have we improved things for this
5179s year well the invitation that came out
5181s last year Sarah they'll be back but this
5185s time invitations will be holding charges
5187s and you'll use those charges to kind of
5190s mess with the opposition while you're in
5191s Chase
5192s so if you're a Survivor what you'll be
5195s able to do is block the window vaults so
5197s the killer can't foresee you and you'll
5199s also be able to spawn a pallet which can
5202s be used in an emergency but it'll be
5204s it'll break right upon use
5207s killers on the other hand they'll be
5208s able to reduce the impact of a stun
5210s remotely break a pallet or a breakable
5213s wall
5214s and survivors better watch out about
5216s this one they will be able to inflict
5218s the exposed status effect on you once
5220s they've reached a tier of bloodlust
5223s but in order to get your cosmetic you
5225s will need to make sure that you are
5226s holding on to at least one charge by the
5229s time that an exit opens and that's
5230s either the exit gate or the hatch so our
5234s players are going to have to decide what
5235s is ultimately more important to them
5237s exhausting the charge to help him in a
5239s time of need or getting that brand new
5242s mask
5243s oh it's such a tough choice but I love
5245s the players have a mechanic now where
5247s they can gain these masks without having
5249s to escape the trial
5251s so beyond the mask we have a number of
5254s excellent unlockable Cosmetics as part
5257s of the Twisted masquerade event tone
