| 1381s | have scooters that you can get on the |

| 1389s | the brilliant idea of us going on a ride |
| 1392s | so you can see a lot of pleasant people |
| 1395s | who are now bound forever in last group |
| 1400s | known as the natural name yet we haven't |
| 1403s | really decided on a name but it's a |
| 1405s | really cool gang to be a part of I can |
| 1407s | tell you that so other than that we will |
| 1411s | most likely do more parties like this |
| 1413s | because it was very well received it was |
| 1414s | really cool to see all the the old |
| 1416s | friends and the new friends that we have |

| 1436s | pumpkin carving and the artwork for the |

| 1517s | so that event is wrapping up tomorrow is |
| 1520s | the last day so if you have any vials |

| 1535s | tomorrow midday for us which means some |

| 1544s | is whenever we do those events it's |
| 1546s | really fun people get excited there's a |
| 1548s | lot of really cool stuff to talk about |
| 1549s | but it's difficult to actually have a |
| 1553s | game of that by daylight |
| 1555s | sometimes yeah because people tend to |
| 1557s | play differently they either want to |
| 1558s | cooperate or they want to farm together |
| 1561s | which is fine but right events are |
| 1565s | special occasions and we like that |
| 1566s | people treat them as though they're |
| 1568s | special it's an opportunity to break out |
| 1570s | of your mold do something you wouldn't |
| 1571s | usually do maybe play the game a little |
| 1573s | differently so that you get over the |
| 1575s | nectar and you know that's your priority |
| 1577s | for a while yeah it's not something that |
| 1579s | we think should always be there or |
| 1581s | always be a part of the game nobody but |
| 1583s | it but there's two things about that |
| 1584s | first of all yes it's refreshing to have |
| 1586s | that for a set amount of time yes it's |
| 1589s | kind of fun |
| 1589s | but also we're getting better at finding |
| 1592s | alternate objectives that don't prevent |
| 1596s | people from actually playing it that's |
| 1598s | right we did some events in the past |
| 1599s | where things got a little out of hand |
| 1601s | and the cooperation of people trying to |
| 1604s | achieve the event ended up making the |
| 1607s | game really unfun to play right now at |
| 1610s | the very worse you're gonna try to farm |
| 1612s | and then you're gonna get put on a hook |
| 1613s | and you go oh what the hell I was just |
| 1615s | trying to get flowers yeah I'm a killer |
| 1617s | right leave I'm a killer I don't know |
| 1620s | what you thought was gonna happen here |
| 1621s | like that's cool there's a little bit of |
| 1624s | a clash of expectations well we are we |
| 1626s | are turning yeah it's on going yeah |
| 1629s | that's something that we think with this |
| 1631s | event we made some progress in some |
| 1633s | directions and we're gonna make more |
| 1634s | progress hopefully with the next one |
| 1636s | yeah |
| 1637s | so overall I think we can say that the |
| 1639s | event was a big success we broke some of |
| 1642s | our records of how many players are |
| 1644s | playing at the same time for sure we got |
| 1645s | a lot of positive feedback we got a lot |
| 1648s | of constructive criticism and downright |
| 1651s | negative feedback to cert which we are |
| 1653s | absolutely |
| 1654s | attention to oh but overall we have to |
| 1656s | say it was a very well-received event |
| 1660s | sure we put in this 2d cinematics - well |
| 1664s | first off I actually have some numbers |
| 1666s | about you how many people who played the |
| 1668s | event okay within the menu is there a |
| 1670s | little after that Oh after that alright |
| 1671s | well do the cinematics no no go no you |
| 1674s | just do the thing just fine I don't read |
| 1676s | the paper I'm sorry I just wing it |
| 1678s | ah sure so people played the event they |
| 1681s | played it a lot we had over a watch dude |
| 1684s | big lady how much did they play we don't |
| 1686s | have a lot what's it like it's more than |
| 1688s | not much and less than all of all of the |
| 1691s | time I'll ever okay okay somewhere in |
| 1693s | the middle there okay but we had we have |
| 1696s | one and a half million people are |
| 1698s | participating in the event so far so |
| 1701s | that's that's a lot of people that's 1.5 |
| 1704s | million people actually came played at |
| 1706s | least the game right during the event |
| 1708s | during the event so they they allowed at |
| 1710s | the event and they participated in it |
| 1712s | cording to the way we measure that and |
| 1714s | of the vials that were filled like we |
| 1716s | count all the vials and we see how it |
| 1718s | goes like overall total yeah and we're |
| 1720s | at over 15 million 15 million vials were |
| 1723s | collected together everybody together |
| 1726s | killers survivors how many vials are |
| 1728s | filled over 15 million and there's still |
| 1730s | a day left so you know we can bring that |
| 1732s | up cool most popular outfit easily the |
| 1739s | Wraith yeah yeah it was a good one that |
| 1741s | there's a lot about competition after |
| 1743s | the race but wraith was by far the most |
| 1747s | popular everybody got the wraith |
| 1749s | everybody loves the wraith after that we |
| 1752s | get the Claudette and Dwight and the |
| 1754s | Huntress the doctor is also very close |
| 1757s | to that which you know I love the doctor |
| 1758s | too I think the doctor them they're all |
| 1760s | great to be fair but the rate was |
| 1762s | special but that's the thing it's funny |
| 1764s | because we keep making outfits and we we |
| 1767s | don't know which ones are gonna like be |
| 1770s | completely overwhelmingly popular yeah |
| 1773s | one that we |
| 1774s | for the grid and Missouri connection we |
| 1777s | thought it was cool yeah I mean looked |
| 1778s | at him like oh that's a cool outfit but |
| 1780s | there's no way we could have guessed |
| 1781s | that it would be like so overwhelmingly |
| 1785s | okay I could have guessed apparently |
| 1787s | Phil could have guessed it oh so the |
| 1789s | rest of us will just have to defer to |
| 1790s | him in the future |
| 1791s | yeah yeah is bait it's right but it's a |
| 1795s | really good outfit but so is the case so |
| 1796s | so the rate was the big winner at this |
| 1799s | we don't have numbers on how many |
| 1802s | outfits were got but there's 50 million |
| 1804s | vials even yeah it's not all of them |
| 1808s | have been spent yet you know gotta |
| 1809s | finish it up to get the last couple |
| 1811s | before oh yeah it's important to note |
| 1813s | also that your vials will still be in |
| 1816s | your inventory for I think two weeks |
| 1818s | you'll get a count down in that whole |
| 1820s | interface in the game and it'll say you |
| 1822s | still have like to thank you for the |
| 1825s | currency and you'll see the how much the |
| 1828s | timer yeah cool so yeah you don't have |
| 1830s | like if you're still unsure which outfit |
| 1833s | you should get again won't be able to |
| 1835s | get more because obviously the event and |
| 1837s | tomorrow right but if you have your |
| 1839s | currency and you are not sure what to |
| 1841s | buy you still have about two weeks to |
| 1843s | make your mind two weeks it's okay |
| 1847s | geez I got told okay 2d cinematics yes |
| 1852s | it was it was a new way to tell the |
| 1855s | story we tried something new I think it |
| 1859s | was well-received it was really cool we |
| 1861s | we got a lot of questions about the lore |
| 1863s | and who are the characters in there and |
| 1865s | what was happening and we answered none |
| 1867s | of them know I what they're not telling |
| 1868s | me what this is Society the cinematics |
| 1872s | were neat someone said so yes we really |
| 1877s | liked them and there was a question |
| 1879s | amongst us going is this the right |
| 1882s | medium to tell the stories in the game |
| 1884s | and we think it's actually gonna be |
| 1887s | something that we're gonna use more and |
| 1888s | more because they're really cool they're |
| 1890s | they're faster to make for us so we can |
| 1893s | actually do more of those and be able to |
| 1895s | tell more of the story and I think it's |
| 1897s | cool give us feedback on those tell us |
| 1899s | what you thought about the cinematics |
| 1900s | and you know your favorite parts what |
| 1901s | you liked what you didn't like are the |
| 1904s | new cinematics hiding a new |
| 1906s | survivor or killer I don't know are they |
| 1909s | you tell me your answer that's the dot |
| 1917s | dot dot okay okay so something |
| 1922s | interesting to talk about that it's very |
| 1924s | important we did some course |
| 1926s | readjustments during the event the very |
| 1929s | first thing we did was just before we |
| 1931s | launched the event we talked together a |
| 1932s | week we argued and we realized that |
| 1935s | giving away just one outfit was not |
| 1938s | generous enough was not just not enough |
| 1942s | so I mean you probably all notice but |
| 1945s | just before the event we decided to |
| 1947s | raise the cap to 60 instead of the 30 so |
| 1950s | that you could get two full outfits I |
| 1953s | think it was well-received |
| 1955s | I think it's for us also a learning |
| 1957s | experience we have to be careful to |
| 1959s | always be aware of how generous we are |
| 1964s | and how much we can give it's true that |
| 1965s | for instance the barbecue summer |
| 1967s | barbecue event we only gave two things |
| 1969s | right now and two pieces not even two |
| 1971s | full outfits but some will argue we gave |
| 1975s | 100% of all the pieces that were made |
| 1977s | for that event yeah |
| 1979s | so I think people saw these items as we |
| 1983s | were you know showing them in social |
| 1984s | media and they said look these are |
| 1986s | really great these are special why can I |
| 1988s | only get a couple of them I want all of |
| 1990s | them I want more I want and I feel the |
| 1992s | same way like I think we all kind of |
| 1994s | want the whole collection for our our |
| 1996s | accounts there was also a lot of talk |
| 1999s | about making these outfits unavailable |
| 2002s | after the event writing them excuse it |
| 2004s | to the event so their specials they're |
| 2005s | unique so that people can wear them |
| 2007s | would like that bragging right of I was |
| 2010s | there yeah it's a tough sell this one |
| 2014s | internally I see both sides on this one |
| 2016s | for sure it's cool to make something |
| 2018s | that's just gonna be one shot but the |
| 2021s | amount of time and effort that we put in |
| 2023s | creating all of these really awesome |
| 2026s | outfits right it sounds like a ways to |
| 2028s | just make you know there'd be I don't |
| 2031s | know |
| 2031s | 20,000 people who would have them for |
| 2033s | the rest of |
| 2034s | eternity and it felt a little harsh yeah |
| 2036s | so we might do that in the future in |
| 2040s | some events some moments when you have |
| 2041s | something that's only available then |
| 2043s | right what is it if this whatever says |
| 2045s | it's always but these outfits we thought |
| 2047s | should just live in the shop because |
| 2048s | they're so good they're so nice oh |
| 2050s | there's a good question here will we be |
| 2053s | able to see the cinematics after the |
| 2055s | amount is over not in the game client |
| 2057s | not not there you want to see them and |
| 2059s | you'll have to find them somewhere else |

| 2080s | next course readjustment we did was |
| 2083s | about half way true just a little before |
| 2085s | that and it was merging the the cap so |
| 2089s | that you could get 60 but not thirty on |
| 2091s | inside just a total of 60 that was |
| 2095s | mostly because the cue times for killers |
| 2098s | became unbearable already we are well |
| 2102s | aware that the the killer wait times the |
| 2104s | lobbies are too long we we know that and |
| 2108s | we are working towards making this |
| 2110s | better but during the event |
| 2113s | circumstances made it that a lot more |
| 2115s | people play killer and and to be |
| 2117s | absolutely transparent here there is and |
| 2120s | then there's some stuff that we will |
| 2124s | never be able to fix if everybody wants |
| 2126s | to play killer right there was so much |
| 2130s | more fun that everybody just says this |
| 2131s | is the best experience then I would also |
| 2134s | be in cube trying to play killer but |
| 2135s | that's it so there there I'm not saying |
| 2139s | there's nothing we can do and there is |
| 2140s | quite a lot we can do and we are doing |
| 2142s | some of it right now yeah but but |
| 2145s | there's always going to be death so |
| 2146s | during the event we realized that at |
| 2148s | some point a lot of people had kept |
| 2150s | their survivor points and now had moved |
| 2151s | on to the killer side and we decided to |
| 2154s | try to at least re-establish some sort |
| 2157s | of balance in there that was closer to |
| 2159s | how people usually play and so we we |
| 2162s | changed that yeah |
| 2164s | took very seriously we were definitely |
| 2166s | watching it from the start of the event |
| 2167s | that things were getting worse yes and |
| 2169s | since we made that change they've gotten |
| 2172s | better it's better better is right but |
| 2175s | it's not yeah it went from absolutely |
| 2178s | horrible to pretty bad yeah let's say |
| 2182s | yes those are all improvement but it's |
| 2184s | not but it still sucks and we are well |
| 2187s | aware of that and it's not everybody |
| 2190s | like it's not every single game that you |
| 2191s | play you're gonna wait twenty minutes |
| 2193s | but there are people out there who try |
| 2194s | to play and wait 20 minutes for a loan |
| 2196s | that's not and that's not sometimes we |
| 2198s | want so that's the secondary adjustment |
| 2204s | that we did throughout this we learned a |
| 2208s | lot |
| 2208s | we made notes we talked to each other |
| 2210s | and we try to get better and we say ah |
| 2212s | shit we're not gonna do that next time |
| 2214s | for sure |
| 2215s | so what are the things first of all I |
| 2220s | think we we're getting a little better |
| 2223s | at listening to you and readjusting our |
| 2226s | stuff it's not always perfect but it's |
| 2230s | getting better it's getting better and |
| 2232s | it's definitely something that we want |
| 2233s | to keep working on second thing is |
| 2236s | people really liked secondary objectives |
| 2241s | at least four survivors having something |
| 2243s | else to do some stuff to go look for and |
| 2247s | also it made you think of oh is it time |
| 2250s | now to go work on the gen or should I |
| 2252s | concentrate on the flowers and all of |
| 2254s | this there's a lot of risk involved yeah |
| 2256s | and it sometimes made things more |
| 2257s | challenging but that also makes it more |
| 2260s | exciting when you realize that this is a |
| 2261s | risk I want to take or this isn't a risk |
| 2263s | that I want to take right now that |
| 2265s | choice is new to dead by daylight well |
| 2267s | it used to be you know a very simple |
| 2270s | case of how bold are you and how eager |
| 2273s | to survive are you yeah it was pretty is |
| 2275s | it worth doing the generator now or do I |
| 2277s | need to go hide in a closet now we added |
| 2280s | how greedy are you right and that's a |
| 2283s | really interesting decision then I think |
| 2285s | that by daylight there's always lived on |
| 2289s | the fact that it's real emotions it's |
| 2292s | real human responses yeah that's what |
| 2294s | makes it fun |
| 2294s | and that's what makes it exciting so |
| 2296s | greed is a very rich font of human |
| 2300s | emotion and it's not just my greed it's |
| 2302s | the greed of my teammates - is that |
| 2303s | where there's other survivors I can see |
| 2305s | them being greedy and I have opinions |
| 2307s | about that do you want to talk about |
| 2311s | they should be less greedy so I can be |
| 2313s | more greedy then farming the the people |
| 2319s | that started working together and I'm |
| 2321s | not just talking survivors and talking |
| 2322s | survivors working with killers to attain |
| 2324s | an objective literally going okay let me |
| 2326s | find that flower and then I'll get on |
| 2329s | your shoulder and you can put me on your |
| 2330s | hook I'm ready go right yeah just like |
| 2332s | to carry me where you need me to go it's |
| 2334s | it's funny because because there's no |
| 2337s | way to communicate during the game you |
| 2339s | have to sort of take it on faith that |
| 2340s | the guy that's sort of teabagging in |
| 2343s | front of the flower is telling me that |
| 2344s | if I let him do this he will let me get |
| 2347s | into the hood but there's no way to know |
| 2348s | and no many killers must whack you over |
| 2351s | the head or maybe just wait a second and |
| 2353s | then grab you for fun yeah yeah |
| 2357s | survivors they would screw you and |
| 2359s | flashlights you anyway because sure I |
| 2361s | mean like once I've got my my progress |
| 2363s | like I don't think I'm held to this deal |
| 2365s | really and you're never held to this no |
| 2368s | that's the whole point it's like Oh |
| 2370s | respect the four percent respect to call |
| 2372s | that dust it it's not no it's not even |
| 2376s | that's not the rule in made-up society |
| 2378s | it's very unlikely this so when it |
| 2380s | happens I like to feel good about that |
| 2381s | getting off the fair anyway no yeah yes |
| 2384s | so there is no contract and it's |
| 2386s | interesting to see people but a lot of |
| 2389s | strong emotions and with that people |
| 2391s | like no no you should absolutely respect |
| 2394s | the farming we only have two weeks |
| 2395s | together yes please and it's it's a |
| 2398s | valid plea sure you're still not yet but |
| 2403s | keep in mind that we don't want to give |
| 2406s | more opportunities for assault right we |
| 2410s | don't want to do right we like a little |
| 2412s | bit less salt on this dish then we have |
| 2414s | right now yeah yeah I metaphor for this |
| 2418s | yeah yeah so the other note we put there |
| 2421s | is as I was saying earlier at the |
| 2423s | beginning it made it the event always |
| 2425s | makes it |
| 2426s | harder to have a vanilla game of dead by |
| 2429s | daylight yes it's gonna be tough because |
| 2432s | we switch things up that's awful point |
| 2434s | and that's that's the thing is that |
| 2436s | we're not doing an alternate game-mode |
| 2437s | here we're not doing a second button |
| 2439s | that you say do I want to play normal |
| 2440s | mode or do I want to play crazy |
| 2442s | Halloween this isn't that but but to |
| 2445s | expand on that a little bit trying these |
| 2448s | ultimate modes trying these new gameplay |
| 2450s | mechanics is also a way for us to check |
| 2452s | if these are super fun and if they are |
| 2453s | why not introduce them later maybe in |
| 2457s | the game permanently or even have them |
| 2459s | as an alternate mode it's something that |
| 2462s | we always kept aside since the beginning |
| 2466s | because creating an alternate mode would |
| 2468s | essentially split the community players |
| 2471s | and we don't want to do that because we |
| 2473s | want to have enough players that games |
| 2475s | happen regularly and it's fun and it |
| 2476s | flows well but who knows maybe we're at |
| 2479s | some point where it feels like we can |
| 2480s | have two buckets of communities yeah |
| 2484s | well as we do these mechanics it's just |
| 2486s | it's very simple you keep the parts that |
| 2488s | work you cut the parts that don't and |
| 2490s | that's always a strategy that's it hmm |
| 2496s | anything else for Halloween the other |
| 2498s | thing I had was lower explanation which |

| 3186s | doctor is a very inspiring one to play |

| 3191s | the doctor it sort of can go in weird |

| 3201s | so under you see on the ankle we had |

| 3206s | yeah bracelet so ease he put it on |
| 3211s | himself so it's pretty disturbing so |

| 3216s | doing an experiment like he's dead |

| 3220s | funny how these outfits are exactly like |
