1864s from the start it's it's kind of special
1866s and I'm extremely proud to be here once
1869s more to celebrate this momentous
1871s occasion with all of you we have quite a
1874s lot of really thrilling things to you
1877s know show you for the next year and
1879s Beyond we're going to talk about quite a
1881s lot of them today to tell you all about
1884s it I'd like to introduce you to my
1885s friend Eric here but before I also have
1889s quite a big surprise that I'm not gonna
1892s spill just yet but stick around and we
1895s have something that you don't expect
1898s always such a tease thank you Matt for
1900s the intro hey my name is Eric Pope I'm
1902s the community director here at Behavior
1904s I've been here a little over a year now
1906s and in that time I've been really Blown
1907s Away by The Passion of the DVD player
1910s community it's really something special
1912s awesome they are and we take it really
1914s seriously we don't take it for granted
1916s and kind of along those lines for me
1918s being here representing how we speak to
1920s our community I just wanted you to know
1922s that we've actually taken the past year
1924s to expand our reach we also have
1926s expanded where we are uh connecting with
1928s our players because the players at the
1930s center of everything that we're doing we
1931s want to be in more places to hear your
1934s feedback on all of the things that we're
1935s doing so we're now on the Xbox official
1937s clubs we're now on Playstation news
1939s we're talking on Steam forums we're even
1942s getting more involved on back on the
1944s Reddit with the moderators there
1945s there'll be more amas coming up from the
1947s team and even live streams like you're
1949s seeing right now we want to make Aurora
1951s regular again so look forward to all of
1953s that coming over the next year now I
1955s think uh I couldn't forget
1958s the most important platform of them all
1960s uh no no joking aside all joking aside
1963s uh actually today we are launching our
1966s Tick Tock Channel as well we found that
1968s there's actually a really thriving DVD
1970s community on Tick Tock and we want to be
1971s there talking to you creating fun
1973s content with you so we're really happy
1975s to be there now but I think we should uh
1977s move on with the show itself did you
1980s know Matt that over the seven years
1982s there's been over 1.8 billion trials

1989s um and to that note DVD is not slowing
1991s down at all we wouldn't know how no we
1994s wouldn't and we couldn't so let's talk
1996s through what you're going to see today
1997s we're going to kick things off with the
1999s year eight roadmap that's going to show
2000s you everything that's coming across the
2002s year to DVD following that we're going
2005s to take you through the reveal of our
2007s next chapter which is some incredible
2010s original stuff you're not going to want
2012s to miss after that we've got gameplay
2014s updates after that we've got quality of
2016s life updates and then
2019s a new segment has come to the show this
2021s is actually something that's really cool
2023s um we're gonna take you beyond the core
2025s game of dbd to show you how we're
2027s expanding other places and in other ways
2029s that you might not be expecting very
2031s exciting very exciting speaking of
2033s exciting we have news Cosmetics to
2035s reveal as well that I think are going to
2037s surprise people I'm so psyched about
2039s those and we're going to round it out
2041s with news about the in-game seventh
2043s anniversary event which is uh better
2045s than ever actually it's going to be a
2047s really exciting one this year and of
2049s course as Matt mentioned you do want to

2070s roadmap segment of the seventh year
2072s anniversary stream for dead by daylight
2074s I'm Stefan boshaw head of production and
2077s I'm Justin Brown product director we're
2079s really glad to be here celebrating
2081s another amazing year of dead by daylight
2082s with you today in this segment we'll
2085s have a look at our upcoming pillars for
2086s year 8 as well as our chapters plans and
2089s the archives in terms of dates that we
2091s have planned for the year before going
2093s any further I do want to take a brief
2095s moment to give a big shout out to the
2096s amazing team that's been working on the
2098s game for the past years they put amazing
2101s effort and dedication into that and
2103s really allow us to get the game to the
2105s state it is today it's just absolutely
2107s amazing and a pleasure to work with the
2109s entire team agreed
2110s over the past year we've put out two
2113s particularly interesting chapters I feel
2114s along amongst others but first Fortune
2118s fog has allowed us to tap into a new
2120s theme which we've never really had a
2121s chance to before
2123s medieval which is something we hadn't
2125s explored so our first foray into that
2127s and how that ties into the horror teams
2129s and all that was very interesting to
2130s navigate
2131s and the second one for the first time we
2134s have released a first ever sequel to a
2136s license chapter in Resident Evil project
2138s W such a great and cool addition to the
2141s game I think bringing in a lot of
2143s characters people love and they have
2145s been really fun to play with ourselves
2146s absolutely with Wesker was so well done
2149s one of my favorite Killers to play
2150s personally and it was right around the
2152s time that he released that we also did
2153s The Prestige update making it easier
2156s than ever for you to sort of unlock all
2158s of your perks throughout all of your
2160s characters we also you know shortly
2162s after the prestige update reduced the
2163s blood point total or cost in the blood
2165s web for all items we followed that up
2169s with uh Bots Survivor Bots specifically
2171s and custom matches which was super
2173s useful practice your killer in a custom
2175s match it's awesome uh we did two
2178s important quality of life updates to the
2180s archives one being the ability to select
2182s Quest per roll and then the second just
2184s that in-game toast notification so you
2186s can track progress in a match which is
2188s ever so helpful and then last but not
2190s least last year we said we were going to
2192s make our events bigger and better and we
2194s feel like we really delivered that with
2195s last year's Halloween probably the
2197s biggest best event we've done in dead by
2200s daylight to date absolutely sure now
2203s Switching gears we're going to give you
2205s guys a first peek at the upcoming
2207s content you can expect us to release
2209s throughout this next year first and
2211s foremost of course there are going to be
2214s again four new chapters that include
2216s Killers but in a strange twist what you
2219s will notice on the graphic today is that
2221s there are also two Survivor only
2224s chapters being released in this next
2226s year a lot to unpack changing the pace a
2229s little bit but it's not straying too far
2231s away from what we've been used to over
2233s the past as is tradition we will be
2235s actually taking a peek at the next
2237s upcoming chapter and original one any
2240s segment that follows very shortly after
2242s this one
2243s again we're exploring another team we
2245s really haven't had the chance to in the
2247s past so that's pretty exciting both in
2249s terms of of the characters and the the
2251s the team we're exploring with it the
2253s next two killers that we'll follow after
2255s that are going to be licensed and I
2258s would say license with a big L if I can
2260s really iconic additions to the game
2263s extremely excited to be able to talk a
2265s little bit more about that unfortunately
2267s a little too early today to be able to
2269s do that we've started to play with them
2271s a little bit internally and seeing how
2272s the characters are going to shape up and
2274s it's it's pretty exciting to actually
2275s have those additions to the game yes so
2278s more to come later this year in addition
2281s to that moving away from the chapters we
2284s will also have four new tomes added to
2286s the game throughout the year as we
2288s usually have over the past years so
2290s moving away from our chapters and
2292s archives we'll now deep dive into the
2295s four pillars that compose the roadmap
2296s for the year and as as players will see
2299s there are continuity from what we've
2301s been doing over the last years of course
2303s no the pillars might look the same the
2304s projects we work on under each pillar
2306s changes from year to year the first
2309s pillar uh something we've already talked
2311s about events events Evolution we're
2313s calling this pillar we do plan on taking
2315s our four sort of pillar events and
2317s making them even bigger even better than
2319s they have been in the past
2321s including last year's Halloween which we
2323s plan on sort of one-upping again this
2326s year but in addition to those four
2328s pillar events we're also going to look
2329s at adding a few more smaller events
2331s spread throughout the year
2333s and for those of you who have been with
2334s us for a long time you might already
2336s know what the smell of barbecue is in
2337s the game I know you love barbecue from
2339s barbecue uh we all do for those of you
2341s who don't well you'll get to see it very
2343s shortly but really the goal is to give
2345s you more to play with at all times in
2347s the game and something to work towards
2348s too second pillar is trust and security
2351s which is more important to us than ever
2353s in dead by daylight this Builder both
2356s reflects the systems that we're putting
2357s in place to make the game more secure
2359s but also the way we're communicating
2360s with our players the first one the
2363s former of those we're really excited to
2365s say that we're about to launch a
2366s vulnerabilities disclosure program which
2368s will allow us to work with people in the
2370s wild to report potential threats about
2372s the game about our servers Etc and
2375s really facilitate Us closing those those
2378s potential weaknesses that we knew or did
2380s not know about within the game so very
2381s very excited to to launch this this is
2384s going to be coming up in the near future
2386s so you can stay tuned for more info
2387s about that yes I'm super excited for
2389s when we're able to share a little bit
2391s more information with everybody about
2392s that initiative next up we're also going
2396s to be looking at revamping our sort of
2398s streaming strategy we want to make sure
2400s that we're able to communicate with you
2402s our players more often offer a higher
2404s level of transparency discuss sort of
2407s updates in the progress on a lot of the
2409s features and initiatives we're going to
2410s be announcing and talking about
2412s throughout this stream today
2415s um we plan on doing that by doing live
2417s streams more consistently to celebrate
2419s you know new chapter releases large key
2423s beats and generally just being in
2425s contact with you our community
2426s consistently throughout the year one of
2429s those topics is very likely to be our
2432s next pillar which is life balance a
2434s topic that's you know very dear to us
2436s it's something I spend a lot of time
2438s thinking about and worrying about
2440s and something that I won't go too deep
2443s in today because we will be talking
2445s about our live balance plans in a little
2447s bit right yeah we'll have net and Jeff
2449s coming up in the future segment and talk
2451s about what type of projects we have
2453s planned for the coming months on that
2454s specifically awesome very excited very
2456s important for us and we know how dear to
2459s the community's heart this also is a
2461s pretty Hot Topic in general I would say
2463s last but not least quality of life is a
2467s staple pillar on which we have
2469s continuously worked throughout the years
2470s and this is all about the UI and feature
2473s improvements we make to the game as a
2475s more General type of thing one
2477s Improvement we did last year was the
2479s Survivor HUD which facilitates exchange
2481s and communication between players even
2483s if they're not talking with each other
2484s directly to make sure you can always
2486s make a better decision as a Survivor
2488s when you're playing the game because you
2489s know what's happening a little bit more
2491s than you used to in the past in addition
2493s to that you've talked about the
2495s improvements we made to the progression
2496s and made it faster to level up but we
2498s made it even faster by allowing you to
2500s just spend a ton of blood points almost
2503s into instantaneously and just get it
2505s done and get it through with your your
2507s with upgrading your characters and
2509s leveling up much faster in the blood web
2511s it feels great it does and finally the
2514s map repeat prevention feature which was
2516s released a few months ago which again
2518s another Edition there's a lot of maps
2520s into the game some of you might have
2521s felt like even if you're playing for
2523s just an hour you're often tapping like
2525s two or three times into the same map and
2527s such and this is really preventing that
2529s from happening as much as possible so a
2531s very cool addition we're not going to go
2533s too much in detail today or at least in
2535s this specific segment to talk more
2537s quality of life features but we'll have
2539s two new faces Rafael and Pamela we're
2541s going to be coming up in a future panel
2544s and talk to you about some of the
2545s projects we have planned and even show
2547s you a few
2548s a few features that we have underworks
2551s right now and that are going to be
2552s coming up in your hands fairly shortly
2554s excellent there's a lot we look forward

2583s be with you today to celebrate our
2585s seventh anniversary and to show you a
2588s first look at our latest chapter and
2590s transmission let's take a look at the
2592s trailer
2597s it wasn't programmed to harm the crew
2601s it was supposed to help us build a safer
2603s home but something happened
2606s became self-aware
2609s it has no empathy
2612s it doesn't feel pain
2628s it learns at an impossible rate and it
2631s won't stop until we are dead
2633s or worse
2662s as you just saw in the trailer this
2664s original chapter brings us into a
2667s completely new genre of horror for dead
2669s by daylight we are going to explore
2671s sci-fi horror
2673s so this will bring us to a distant
2675s unknown planet and will feature
2677s characters from a possible future
2680s traditionally I would be taking some
2682s time with you today to go over the
2684s characters and the map of the chapter
2685s but this year we're doing things a
2687s little bit differently with a behind the
2689s scene video
2691s we want to show you the process of
2694s creating a chapter but also show you new
2697s faces that you might not have seen
2699s before of amazing people that are
2701s working hard to make these chapters
2702s possible
2703s let's take a look
2712s for the anniversary we've prepared a
2715s very special original chapter
2717s um
2722s this is a big deal for the dead body
2724s light Universe because we're going to
2726s explore a new genre in horror we're
2728s going sci-fi
2734s I think that any kind of subject and
2737s genre can be re-wrapped and reimagined
2740s as horror and sci-fi is definitely not
2742s an exception there are three big teams
2745s that we wanted to explore in that new
2747s realm first of all it's clearly an alien
2750s world we wanted you to feel like you are
2753s far from home that you are Lost in Space
2756s the second one is that we wanted to make
2759s sure that the human technology looked
2760s weak Lo-Fi so that you never feel safe
2764s Within These constructions that they've
2767s brought on the settlement
2768s and the last thing we've added to the
2770s mix are traces of a long lost alien
2773s civilization
2779s challenge is
2793s foreign
2820s one aspect I really enjoyed was that it
2822s was a it was a jungle so we could make
2825s it super dense super threatening in the
2827s organic design and the design of the
2830s plants everything kind of looks like it
2833s could kill you we try to have like very
2835s creepy looking texture very organic
2837s texture you would find in nature we
2839s would try to bring it into the designs
2842s of the of the plants and the vegetation
2844s in general the main building the idea
2846s was to show there was a safe space for
2848s the characters as you can see it's on
2851s stills it's elevated compared to the map
2853s the idea was to show that the map is
2855s very dangerous and this place should be
2858s safe for you but the interesting idea we
2861s had is that once you get into the
2864s structure it's actually more dangerous
2866s or looks more threatening to you
2873s The Singularity is
2876s an AI that is supposed to help the human
2878s crew settle on this new planet but while
2881s it was scouting it got in touch with a
2884s piece of old alien technology and was
2887s enlightened and now it wants to
2889s overthrow and kill all human so this
2891s killer is an interesting take on the
2893s cyborg we're used to see organic
2897s character using pieces of Machinery to
2900s become more powerful but the singularity
2903s is doing it in reverse it is a simple
2906s piece of technology using a cloning
2909s technology to get organic material and
2912s flesh to become more powerful
2914s well the inspiration of the killer
2916s design was you know we always wanted to
2917s do a Sci-Fi killer so you're going to be
2920s able to go around the map and set up
2921s these biopods spread your Consciousness
2923s inside of these biopods and then if
2925s you're able to catch a Survivor inside
2928s of your reticle you'll be able to infect
2930s them here next to them and then you'll
2932s be able to attack them and keep the
2934s chase going one of the important things
2936s for survivors is teamwork trusting each
2938s other working together so with this
2941s killer one of its abilities in the
2943s slipstream is that once a Survivor is
2945s tagged or infected you can spread that
2947s influence to other survivors and it does
2949s so automatically so survivors will be
2952s less likely to work together and they'll
2954s be more Discord between them
2960s foreign
2983s is quite resourceful is able to
2986s troubleshoot some pesky issues on the
2989s Survivor side and he's able to adapt
2990s very quickly to be able to bring the
2993s killer away from the other survivors
2996s he's able to protect the others so even
2998s though we are in a setting that's so far
3001s from own in the future we wanted to make
3003s sure that Gabriel was a grounded
3006s character that any of us could recognize
3009s ourselves in it I'm super excited for
3012s players to um to try this map I think
3014s it's great that sci-fi is finally in DVD
3017s I think it's going to be fun for them to
3018s experience the creepiness and the
3020s threatening Vibe of this map and I think
3023s they're gonna really enjoy it is
3036s procedure
3047s all of our players survivors and Killers
3050s alike to be able to experience our first
3052s original sci-fi chapter and transmission
3057s as always you'll be able to play with
3059s the content of this chapter during the
3061s ptb right after this broadcast
3064s for everyone else the chapter becomes
3066s available on June 13th

3107s can't wait to talk a little bit more
3108s about a topic that is always top of mind
3111s for our community gameplay so we have
3113s some quick updates for you today Jeff
3115s let us know what they are well as you
3118s know the game design team has many many
3119s features and updates planned for this
3121s year however we'll be focusing on three
3123s specific topics today we're going to be
3125s talking about continued gameplay updates
3127s map balance and finally plans to address
3130s face camping in dead by daylight I'm
3132s excited to dive into these quick app
3134s further Ado let's jump right
3139s biggest perk updates in dead by daylight
3141s ever and it's significantly shifted the
3143s dead by daylight perk meta as a whole
3144s but that's not what we're going to be
3146s talking about today that's happened in
3148s the past what we're going to be focusing
3150s on a little bit more is the process that
3152s we're looking to take consistently
3153s moving forward as a community and design
3155s team when it comes to these gameplay
3156s updates so Jeff what more can you share
3159s with us on that well as you said last
3161s year we launched our biggest perk update
3163s ever in dead by daylight and it had a
3166s significant impact on the perk meta we
3168s saw a lot of perks fall out of the meta
3170s and new perks rise to the Top This was
3173s completely natural like the players are
3174s the ones that drove this change after
3176s the changes went live and it was super
3178s interesting to to see by the way but
3181s moving forward or for this year we're
3183s not planning to have a major shake-up
3185s like we did last year instead we've
3187s Revisited our live design process to
3189s allow us to make changes at a faster
3191s rate instead we'll be focusing on
3193s smaller more focused balance updates
3195s with each update this year that makes a
3198s lot of sense and of course it's one of
3199s the reasons why we listen so closely to
3201s player feedback as a whole but it does
3204s sound like we're going to be able to
3205s integrate some of that feedback that
3206s we're bringing back to your team and you
3208s know we're discussing when it comes to
3210s these kinds of updates a little bit
3211s faster than before am I right absolutely
3213s and I think the best example for that
3215s was the previous previous btb that we
3217s had we had a proposed list of changes
3219s that went onto the ptb the community
3221s gave a lot of feedback and your team
3223s reported that to us and we made some
3225s small adjustments well we made quite a
3227s few adjustments to it and it went live
3229s and I think that everyone was pretty
3230s happy with the result so Our intention
3232s with this change is really
3234s to give give us the flexibility to
3237s analyze adjust and observe the outcome
3239s more frequently that way similar to what
3241s happened with the previous ptb if a
3243s change doesn't go as we envisioned we
3245s can readjust it before it goes live and
3247s even after it goes live right like we're
3249s still listening for feedback and we'll
3251s make further adjustments if needed
3252s exactly it's this ongoing process that
3254s never really ends so I think that's
3256s something really important to highlight
3257s but of course we know that this doesn't
3259s only apply to things like perks and
3261s add-ons we also are aware of some of the
3264s comments you folks are leaving about
3266s Maps so we are very very happy to
3268s announce that moving forward we plan on
3270s having map balancing as part of these
3272s regular gameplay updates as well what
3274s more do you have to say on that Jeff uh
3276s first I mean I can already hear the
3278s players rejoicing from really far away
3280s because this has been a hot topic for a
3282s very long time in dead by daylight and I
3285s think you'll agree and the players
3287s probably agree too that most maps in
3289s dead by daylight are seen as either
3290s killer sided or Survivor sighted and our
3293s goal with integrating into the live
3294s design process is really to bound make
3297s them feel more balanced so creating a
3298s more even playing field for both sides
3300s we started this process with the Raccoon
3302s City Police Department then we followed
3304s suit with the area of Crow's map and
3306s finally we the most recent ones were
3308s blood Lodge and gas heaven and what's
3310s great about these changes is that they
3312s can be as small as moving a small
3313s location for totems or generators to
3316s reviewing pallet safety so we can make a
3318s pallet more safer less safe to bigger
3320s things like changing the map layout or
3322s change changing building layouts yeah
3324s it's super exciting I know our team's
3326s already coming through a lot of the
3327s feedback your team's already looking at
3328s how we can integrate some of that
3329s feedback but looking toward the future a
3332s little bit more what kind of maps are
3333s going to be targeting next I think I
3335s have I think I know what it might be we
3337s need a drum roll over here we really do
3339s because this one is a big one and I'm
3342s sure that the longtime players will be
3344s ecstatic to hear that the next two maps
3346s that we're targeting are some of the
3348s most notorious maps in dead by daylight
3350s I'm talking about two cold wind farm
3352s maps fractured Cow Shed and rancid
3354s abattoir but what's important to
3356s remember is that integrating this into
3358s the live design process means that we'll
3359s be listening to feedback and making
3360s further adjustments as we go yeah
3363s definitely and it's also one of the
3364s reasons why it's so so crucial that you
3366s let us know what your feedback is
3367s regularly through the official channels
3369s in particular of course I believe we're
3372s going to be having this update for cold
3374s wind going live sometime before the end
3375s of summer so make sure to keep your eyes
3377s and your ears peeled
3380s for more information you know I had to
3382s sneak in a corny punt you know it
3386s all right finally in terms of our quick
3388s updates we have one more feature that we
3391s want to discuss
3392s and that is something to do with face
3395s camping
3396s so if you're new to dead by daylight if
3398s you've never heard this term before face
3401s camping is basically a term used to
3402s describe a killer that's standing
3404s directly in front of a hooked Survivor
3405s they're not moving they're waiting for
3407s that hook Survivor to die on hook and
3409s this is usually happening either for a
3410s large portion of the match if not the
3411s entirety of the match we know that face
3414s camping can be very very unfun for the
3416s person on the hook but of course also
3418s the other people in the match so we're
3420s looking to test out a new feature that's
3422s going to help combat face camping as a
3424s whole so Jeff tell us how it works well
3427s the first thing I want to say is that as
3429s an altruistic Survivor it's really
3431s difficult for me to play against someone
3432s who's face camping because I just want
3434s to help and I can't so I'm stuck you
3436s know doing generators instead which is
3438s fine but I'd rather help my teammates
3440s but yes so the way the system works is
3442s that the hook Survivor has a meter on on
3444s their screen and it fills up based on
3446s the Killer's distance to the hooked
3447s Survivor so the closer the Killer is the
3449s faster it fills up the further they are
3451s the slower it fills up up until it
3453s doesn't fill up at all because they're
3454s not within a certain radius
3456s and once it's full the hooked Survivor
3458s can unhook themselves even in the second
3460s stage and what's great about this is
3463s that they get the full benefits of being
3464s unhooked so it's as though a teammate
3466s add unhooked them or they unhook
3469s themselves with the perks such as
3470s Deliverance so for those of you who
3472s don't know that means they'll get the
3473s hay status effect and the endurance
3475s status effect so they're pretty safe at
3477s that stage that is so awesome here I
3479s know Folks at home are probably already
3480s thinking about a bunch of things on this
3482s topic so I'm going to start by bringing
3485s probably one of the questions we're
3486s going to get and that's what happens if
3488s the Killer is forced to stay by the hook
3489s so there's like multiple survivors
3491s swarming the hook they're forced to stay
3492s on that radius is there any situation in
3494s which this feature might slow down or
3496s turn off or be otherwise affected that's
3498s a great question and yes there are some
3500s scenarios where it either slows down or
3502s turns off so for the first the one that
3504s you mentioned where survivors are
3506s swarming the hook as soon as there is
3507s one other Survivor within that same
3509s radius the meter will build up a lot
3511s more slowly so the killer doesn't have
3513s to worry about Survivor storming the
3514s hook and being penalized for it as for
3517s the second option that we talked about
3519s which was turning it off once the exit
3521s gates are powered the feature is
3523s completely turned off so you can defend
3525s your only objective again without having
3527s to worry about the Survivor unhooking
3528s themselves that makes a lot of sense of
3531s course we're going to be so eager to
3533s hear what you folks are going to say on
3534s this matter
3535s um and for the most part it really does
3537s sound like it this feature is targeting
3538s those most egregious cases of face
3540s camping where it's really used kind of
3542s in a spot that's way too early in the
3544s game or in a spot that's really not
3545s going to make sure that the mattress as
3548s fun as possible so with that said though
3550s when can folks expect to get their hands
3552s on this feature when can they let us
3554s know what their thoughts are the burning
3555s question everyone wants to know so our
3559s plan which is subject to change of
3560s course is to have it sometime later this
3563s year on a ptb and as with all ptbs we'll
3565s be listening to feedback and making
3567s further adjustments before it goes live
3568s and even once it goes live we'll still
3570s be listening and Gathering feedback to
3572s make further adjustments just to make
3573s sure that you know it's as good as it
3575s can be of course yeah yeah and
3578s eager to hear those so let us have them
3580s on the official channels as much as
3582s possible you're always keeping an eye

3670s with you some of the great quality of
3672s life improvements that the team is
3675s working really hard for year eight
3678s so before we dive into the good stuff
3681s today our goal is to give you an idea on
3683s when we plan to deliver those upcoming
3686s feature that said you know it is
3688s sometimes priorities and timelines can
3690s shift but we're more their focused live
3693s stream than ever planned for this year
3695s we'll make sure to keep you in the loop
3698s all right let's get to it so time to
3701s start I think you have something that
3702s the community has been asking a lot yes
3705s so we all know that by the light has
3708s been live for seven years now and if you
3710s have been playing the game since the
3712s start there is no way your inventory
3714s isn't full of perks outfits and charms
3717s and add-ons and items because we did
3719s release a lot of content back in the
3721s time
3722s but last year we did introduce the
3725s feature called Loadout presets which
3728s means that you were able to manage this
3730s process a little bit easier
3732s but right now we're so happy to say that
3736s we are building on this feature even
3737s more
3738s because we're adding finally the loadout
3741s search bar to help you find
3744s quickly whatever you're looking for so
3746s on the loadout search you're just gonna
3749s need to type in either the name of the
3751s thing you're looking for or just a word
3753s within the description and it will find
3755s for you instantly so let's say I'm
3758s looking for the perks affecting
3760s generators I just type in generator and
3763s voila all the related perks will be
3765s displayed exactly oh I can see is going
3768s to be huge help for players yes and not
3771s just that we're happy to say that this
3773s feature is also going to be available in
3775s all platforms
3777s and you won't have to wait for it longer
3779s either to test it because this feature
3782s is going to be available today on the
3784s PCB update that we're gonna be releasing
3787s right after this broadcast amazing we
3789s really hope you're gonna enjoy yes
3792s uh so as we're talking about
3794s improvements in player and in the player
3797s experience Raph I know you have
3799s something really interesting for us
3801s today yeah we got a lot of requests on
3803s this feature all DVD players know that
3807s sometimes when a Survivor disconnects
3810s well it put the rest of the group at
3812s huge disadvantage and it's safe to say
3814s that at this point it's not going to be
3817s an ideal experience so that's why with
3819s our upcoming feature once a Survivor
3823s will disconnect an AI bot will take over
3825s so that the game can continue and who
3828s knows maybe this bot will be even better
3830s than the player will just disconnected
3833s so joking aside we really hope this will
3836s alleviate frustration and help matches
3839s to run more smoothly yes and also to
3842s make sure that no one is left in the
3843s dark what we're gonna do is as soon as a
3846s bot spawns in every Survivor and every
3849s killer on the game they're gonna be made
3851s aware through the UI as well as well as
3854s the sound queue whenever they see there
3856s is a survival disconnect bot in the
3858s Matched airplane
3860s and right now we have planned to release
3862s the feature this summer yeah so for the
3866s next feature if you're playing online
3868s game I'm pretty sure you're gonna
3869s recognize what time is about to mention
3872s yes this is something that we are super
3874s excited because the team is really
3877s working hard you're trying to come up
3878s with an entirely new type of Cosmetics
3880s so you'll be able to Showcase your
3883s personality on that by daylight even
3885s more so what we're talking about here is
3888s the player cards and what means for us
3890s on the by the light is alongside your
3893s name you're probably going to be able to
3894s assign a background or a banner and an
3897s icon and you will be able to earn those
3900s Cosmetics during the fall this is where
3903s we're planning but the idea is they're
3906s going to start as a standard rewards in
3909s every Tom and you'll be we're still
3912s going to be working on other ways for
3914s you to earn those cosmetics in the
3915s future so we're not stopping there
3917s that's awesome can't wait to share my
3919s custom icons and Banners yes uh
3923s one last thing Ralph I know you have
3925s something that ties everything that
3927s we're talking about here related to
3929s improvements yeah as we said today we
3932s constantly working on making DVD safer
3935s but also more secure environment for all
3939s players and the report system is an
3941s integral part of that right now how it
3944s works and yet another game if a player
3947s want to report people because of bad
3950s conduct hacking or other reasons they
3953s they can
3954s but let's be honest there is not much
3957s visibility on that process but it's
3961s important to say that our team has
3963s always been committed to taking action
3965s on this report

4418s Iron Maiden yes on a collection built
4422s around the iconic Eddie who let's be

4429s the cosmetics in this collection will be
4432s like portraying his many album cover
4434s appearances which are super cool
4437s and secondly we're thrilled to be
4440s partnering with Slipknot on a collection
4442s that showcases many of their their
4444s trademark masks we'll be making nine
4447s masks in total paying tribute to some of
4450s the band's most iconic members of the
4452s years well all four killers of course
4454s yes
4455s so yeah as we said it's really early for
4458s both of these collections but we'll
4460s share more news as we get to work on

4464s yeah I think it's a good time to talk
4467s about our community you our community I
4471s mean since the beginning of dead by
4473s daylight it's it's they are super
4475s important for for us and and we were
4477s attached to put the spotlight on them on
4480s on a unique store collection since a
4482s while
4483s because you know like we have fans all
4486s around the world we're also really
4487s talented and creative artists for sure
4489s and even if it's not the first time we
4492s showcase their work in the store
4494s organizing the the competition the
4496s competition
4498s exactly to to RPM game
4500s this year we we would like to take it a
4503s step further and and unifying our
4506s Inspirations passion guidelines to to be
4510s not something new together and the
4512s result of it is the artist from the
4514s first collection
4515s so I remember when we asked our
4519s community to to submit their work and
4522s thank you
4524s applications plenty plenty of amazing
4527s applications and we had to select some
4530s of them so I remember we selected four
4532s winners from Poland U.S Spain Canada
4538s there is also a fifth contributor as you
4540s know we'll keep it for later
4543s um feature on that collection but we
4546s invited them to to select their favorite
4548s character it was it was important and
4551s we're super lucky because we ended up
4554s with a split of two survivors and two
4556s killers so balance one that's perfect
4558s that's perfect
4559s and and then we met and we we shared
4563s with them all these things they need to
4566s know to to work on our outfits like the
4569s technical constraints the the law the
4572s the mix and match mix and match Etc
4575s everything they needed before giving
4577s them the really precious maximum
4580s creative freedom
4582s to start their designs and next we we we
4586s did this regular follow-up with them and
4589s we achieved beautiful and functional
4590s designs still respecting the artist's
4593s intentions but also our needs

4598s yeah we have it was an incredible
4600s collaboration we have beautiful outfits
4603s because I think like all these um
4605s creativity these ideas their design they
4608s brought to to our game our fridge
4611s approach to its new eyes so it's um yeah

5028s daylight I help out with a number of
5030s areas of the game but events are
5032s definitely one of my favorites and I'm
5035s Jean Escalante a senior game designer on
5037s dead by daylight and I'm focused on the
5039s events and I'm so glad that I get to be
5041s here with Sarah as seven years ago when
5043s I first became a fan of DVD she helped
5045s me get my very first tattoo which was
5047s altruism just two months after the
5049s game's release thank you no problem
5052s happy
5053s okay so Gene there's lots to celebrate
5057s this year and we're kicking things off
5060s early this year with a month of in-game
5063s activations
5065s uh leading up to the anniversary event
5068s so tell us more about these activations
5070s exactly so each week we will be
5072s celebrating a different two-year period
5073s of dead by Daylight's history so that'll
5076s include characters maps and mechanics
5078s that were introduced during those
5080s periods so for example week one will be
5083s featuring The Blood hunts week two will
5086s then be doubling the Riff fragments for
5088s your Rift pass and in week three we will
5090s be inviting you the players to vote for
5092s a Community Choice event which will
5094s occur during the chapter 28 release and
5097s once the anniversary event goes live
5099s we'll be doing giveaways for a previous
5101s anniversary Cosmetics including outfits
5104s and the year 5 crowns Twisted masquerade
5106s was a huge hit last year and this year
5110s we're bringing it back bigger and better
5112s than ever
5113s but the host of The Twisted masquerade
5116s has actually stepped out of the Shadows
5118s this year
5119s and has lent their certain special kind
5123s of decorating skills to our in-game
5126s event what can players expect to see
5128s well the host has introduced a lot of
5131s various artworks throughout various
5132s areas of the game so you'll definitely
5135s want to check those out and uh yeah
5138s father Campbell's Chapel has gone
5140s through a complete masquerade makeover
5142s and it looks incredible but this host
5146s seems to have brought along some
5147s mysterious mask figures what are these
5150s like weird ghostly spirits who or what
5152s are they if you want to find out you're
5154s going to have to take a closer look
5157s speaking of masked figures we're
5159s bringing back masquerade masks this year
5161s we have 12 new masks for 12 new
5164s characters but getting your hands on
5166s them last year was a little tricky for
5168s Killers you had to make it through your
5171s trial and for survivors you had to
5174s actually make it through the exit gate
5176s so how have we improved things for this
5178s year well the invitation that came out
5180s last year Sarah they'll be back but this
5184s time invitations will be holding charges
5186s and you'll use those charges to kind of
5188s mess with the opposition while you're in
5190s Chase
5191s so if you're a Survivor what you'll be
5194s able to do is block the window vaults so
5196s the killer can't pursue you and you'll
5198s also be able to spawn a pallet which can
5201s be used in an emergency but it'll be
5203s it'll break right upon use
5206s killers on the other hand they'll be
5207s able to reduce the impact of a stun
5209s remotely break a pallet or a breakable
5212s wall
5213s and survivors better watch out about
5214s this one they will be able to inflict
5217s the exposed status effect on you once
5219s they've reached a tier of bloodlust
5221s but in order to get your cosmetic you
5224s will need to make sure that you are
5225s holding on to at least one charge by the
5228s time that it exit opens and that's
5229s either the exigate or the hatch so our
5232s players are going to have to decide what
5234s is ultimately more important to them
5236s exhausting the charge to help him in a
5238s time of need or getting that brand new
5241s mask
5242s oh it's such a tough choice but I love
5244s the players have a mechanic now where
5246s they can gain these masks without having
5248s to escape the trial
5250s so beyond the mask we have a number of
5253s excellent unlockable Cosmetics as part
5255s of the Twisted masquerade event tone
5257s including two brand new outfits last
5261s year our guests of honor were Hattie and
5263s the dredge as part of our roots of dread
5265s chapter but this year we're highlighting
5267s two fan favorites Nia and the hillbilly
