| 1067s | very fun dbd board game so the board |

| 1076s | really loving it it's super cool and uh |
| 1078s | we wanted people to know we've added |
| 1080s | four expansions since the game came out |
| 1082s | so why don't you talk to us about them |
| 1084s | trly uh so first up we've got The |
| 1086s | Unbroken expansion that adds five new |
| 1088s | killers and survivors um including the |
| 1091s | Oni the death Slinger UI Felix and more |
| 1095s | uh there's also the gatekeeper expansion |
| 1097s | that adds another five new killers and |
| 1099s | survivors including the huntress the |
| 1101s | legion Kate and David uh these two |
| 1104s | expansions are perfect for players who |
| 1105s | own the base game um then we also have |
| 1108s | the deluxe up upgrade kit for a now more |
| 1111s | immersive experience this comes with |
| 1113s | miniature hooks that can actually |
| 1114s | suspend your little Survivor minis uh |
| 1117s | miniature Gins with pegs that will track |
| 1119s | your progress premium blood Point tokens |
| 1121s | and a new board featuring the cotus pren |
| 1124s | Asylum and the Orman maps and lastly for |
| 1127s | our players that have the collector's |
| 1129s | edition uh the malicious expansion is |

| 1133s | survivors Jonah Hattie Michaela and |

| 1258s | segment of of today's haunted by |
| 1260s | daylight Liv stream because what better |
| 1262s | way to kick off the haunted by daylight |
| 1264s | livest stream than to be joined by the |
| 1267s | amazing Justin Banks um our senior |
| 1269s | product manager to talk all about it so |
| 1272s | welcome back to the couch it's great to |
| 1274s | be back and for the spookiest season of |
| 1276s | them Mall yes for the spookiest time of |
| 1278s | the year it's almost Halloween and |
| 1280s | players know what that means in dead by |
| 1282s | daylight means that haunted by daylight |
| 1284s | is just around the corner and this year |
| 1286s | the event starts October 17th so so what |
| 1289s | can you tell us Justin about what |
| 1291s | players can expect this time around so |
| 1293s | for any players who've played haunted by |
| 1295s | daylight last year they'll remember that |
| 1296s | we introduced the concept of the Void as |
| 1299s | a realm outside the trials and it was a |
| 1301s | huge focus of the event so as a |
| 1304s | refresher of what the void realm is it's |
| 1307s | essentially the entity's dumpster once |
| 1309s | he's had his fill from a trial |
| 1310s | participant and drained them completely |
| 1313s | he throws away the husks their former |
| 1315s | selves just dumped there it's a really |
| 1319s | fun creepy concept that the team had a a |
| 1322s | really great time creating and last year |
| 1324s | gave us the chance to let players |
| 1327s | finally interact with it to finally |
| 1328s | engage with it but this year this year's |
| 1331s | version is going to really expand on the |
| 1334s | idea of the Void realm inside the trials |
| 1336s | make it more interesting more engaging |
| 1339s | and be more fun overall cuz that's we're |
| 1341s | a game that's what we're about so we |
| 1343s | added lots of really cool elements that |
| 1345s | we know our players are going to enjoy |
| 1347s | they'll want to pay a visit there at |
| 1349s | least once every match but I I think |
| 1351s | they'll be running through it all the |
| 1352s | time oh yeah I I bet um especially |
| 1356s | because we're making the void realm such |
| 1358s | a more central part of the the play play |
| 1361s | byplay of every event so can you tell us |
| 1364s | more about how the portals are going to |
| 1365s | work so last year also I guess more of a |
| 1369s | refresher portals were able to be |
| 1371s | created by players using void energy |
| 1374s | which was so the portals would spawn on |
| 1375s | the map and after a while they would |
| 1377s | close so you would use a portal go |
| 1379s | inside the void realm after a while boot |
| 1381s | it out but that's really where we want |
| 1383s | all the cool stuff to happen we want you |
| 1385s | to spend more time in the void realm so |
| 1387s | for this year there will be one portal |
| 1389s | open from the start of a match and it |
| 1391s | will stay open then over the course of |
| 1394s | the match players can use the void |
| 1395s | energy they've collected to spawn more |
| 1397s | portals up to a total of four so that |
| 1401s | will let players enter exit pop up in |
| 1403s | all sorts of different locations and |
| 1406s | really ramp up the possibilities over |
| 1407s | the course of the match |
| 1409s | I I got to say I really did like that |
| 1411s | the void realm was kind of this uh |
| 1413s | please leave my party by 9:00 p.m. um |
| 1416s | but now that it's going to be easier to |
| 1417s | get in and out of the Void realm I I'm |
| 1421s | thinking about what can players expect |
| 1423s | to see in the gameplay changes in that |
| 1426s | so I don't want to say we didn't do a |
| 1428s | lot this year because there's a lot of |
| 1429s | changes so the biggest request and the |
| 1432s | biggest upgrade we've had from last year |
| 1434s | is that killer Powers now work in the |
| 1436s | void oh wow so with the void becoming an |
| 1439s | even more Central Point and a huge focus |
| 1442s | of our event this year it was essential |
| 1445s | that we work on this and make sure that |
| 1446s | killer players can use their powers so |
| 1448s | they can use the killers that they want |
| 1450s | how they wanted with as few restrictions |
| 1452s | as possible there's also some other |
| 1455s | really cool additions for Killers such |
| 1457s | as being able to now tell on your HUD |
| 1459s | when a Survivor has entered the void |
| 1461s | realm oh so you get to know you want to |
| 1462s | keep on Hunting them around the map or |
| 1465s | go in and see what you find survivors in |
| 1467s | there aren't going to have it easy |
| 1468s | either because when killers are in the |
| 1470s | void there's no Terror radius oh okay so |
| 1473s | they could pop out from anywhere and |
| 1476s | while there are no gens in the void |
| 1478s | there are hooks just like last year so |
| 1480s | Killers can hook survivors in there |
| 1483s | which will teleport them to a hook back |
| 1485s | outside the void on the actual map so |
| 1488s | we're not leaving survivors helpless |
| 1490s | here by the way we are actually adding |
| 1492s | in things like pallets lockers and |
| 1494s | chests to the void realm so with killer |
| 1497s | Powers even survivors get some tools to |
| 1499s | you know keep chases and hiding |
| 1501s | interesting I'm really looking forward |
| 1503s | to that that's going to be really fun |
| 1504s | and I mean like you mentioned before you |
| 1506s | the goal was to make it so that there is |
| 1508s | more to do in the void realm and I can |
| 1510s | definitely see it here so what can you |
| 1512s | tell us about the brand new void items |
| 1514s | coming this year so that brings up a |
| 1516s | good point you're probably thinking well |
| 1518s | if it's so dangerous why do I want to be |
| 1520s | there so the big new attraction is what |
| 1522s | we're calling the void well where |
| 1525s | players will be spending all that |
| 1526s | delicious void energy they've collected |
| 1528s | to create new items or abilities so for |
| 1531s | survivors their new item we're calling a |
| 1534s | void |
| 1535s | Crystal for this when a Survivor throws |
| 1537s | it on the ground it just goes poof and a |
| 1540s | giant cloud of void colored smoke will |
| 1542s | appear to help you |
| 1544s | disappear inside that cloud scratch |
| 1546s | marks will no longer generate and |
| 1548s | characters will be obscured so it's a |
| 1550s | perfect tool to help you lose the killer |
| 1552s | during a Chase that's awesome I'm |
| 1555s | already looking forward to dropping the |
| 1556s | void Crystal and plot twisting on the |
| 1558s | ground |
| 1559s | uh I can't wait to see what the Killer's |
| 1561s | ability is so for the killer when at the |
| 1563s | void well the killer can actually craft |
| 1566s | a projectile ability call it a captured |
| 1568s | haunt letting loose the power of those |
| 1570s | who've been Cast Away into the void now |
| 1573s | this is a much more powerful and |
| 1574s | impactful version of what haunts were |
| 1577s | last year and brings them way closer to |
| 1580s | being something our survivors should |
| 1581s | truly be afraid of so when the killer |
| 1584s | activates their haunt it will fly |
| 1586s | directly ahead of them all ghosty like |
| 1589s | anding survivors and then when it |
| 1591s | disappears cause any survivors nearby to |
| 1594s | scream and reveal their location both of |
| 1597s | these should give some players some |
| 1600s | really fun tools to play with for the |
| 1601s | entire event and we're looking to see |
| 1603s | just how creative everyone can get a |
| 1606s | picture is worth a thousand words and a |
| 1608s | video probably more so let's see these |
| 1610s | in action all right |

| 1652s | trickster that is amazing oh wow that |

| 1659s | the event toome as it wouldn't be an |
| 1661s | event without an event toome um and |
| 1663s | there's a bunch of rewards that you have |
| 1665s | to tell us about today so what can |
| 1666s | players earn I guess if I have to so the |
| 1669s | art team has really knocked out of the |
| 1671s | park with all of these I have to say |
| 1672s | those outfits look absolutely fantastic |
| 1675s | so from what players have seen through |
| 1676s | the event to and the and the rest of the |
| 1678s | event they'll be able to earn outfits |
| 1680s | for Yun Jin and the trickster we wanted |
| 1683s | both of them to look like they came |
| 1684s | straight from a Halloween concert that |
| 1685s | was just to die for and I think given |
| 1688s | where they are they've probably you know |
| 1690s | probably did I think they did it so in |
| 1693s | addition to those we've also got some |
| 1694s | really cool six new skeleton shirts for |
| 1698s | survivors these as usual look fantastic |
| 1701s | we've also got six new Candy weapons for |
| 1704s | Killers these have all become real |
| 1707s | Staples for us whenever we do our house |
| 1708s | Halloween event and a really fun way for |
| 1711s | the team to show off the character |
| 1713s | personalities and as a first for haunted |
| 1716s | by daylight we also have some great |
| 1717s | Badges and banners for players to earn |
| 1720s | which is always a great way to show off |
| 1721s | just how much time you spent in the void |
| 1723s | hopefully without becoming a haunt |
| 1725s | yourself those are some really awesome |
| 1728s | Badges and Banners they look amazing and |
| 1730s | of course haunted by daylight is back |
| 1732s | with again some daily login rewards for |
| 1735s | this year's event so log in every day |
| 1737s | for a gift of either blood points |
| 1739s | iridescent shards or riff fragments and |
| 1741s | this year I hear that we're even giving |
| 1744s | a one-time gift of 100 event currency |
| 1747s | for logging in at any time during the |
| 1749s | event absolutely so this is something we |
| 1751s | love to do during our big events that |
| 1753s | use event currency so no matter when you |
| 1755s | start the event you jump in you get |
| 1757s | something that is themed and you can |
| 1759s | just start |

| 1763s | special thing oh not necessarily haunted |
| 1765s | by daylight but we can't forget to |

| 1778s | officially certified as a Memorial Day |

| 1933s | dead by daylight team to you the |
| 1935s | community uh voting took place from |
| 1937s | September 19th to the 26th and we are |
| 1939s | super excited to be able to share those |
| 1941s | results with you just here in a second |
| 1943s | uh secondly Badges and Banners made |
| 1946s | their debut into the contest replac ing |
| 1948s | charms this year and lastly for the |
| 1951s | first time our four Community contest |
| 1953s | categories killer outfit Survivor outfit |
| 1956s | badge and banner will have three winners |
| 1959s | for a total of 12 winners |
| 1962s | overall triples triples um so before we |
| 1966s | show our winners for the designer |
| 1967s | cosmetic contest I just want to say like |
| 1970s | an it was an absolute gift to be a part |
| 1972s | of this year's uh contest and see the |
| 1975s | amazing display of talent um we had over |

| 1981s | 3,000 contest submissions and it was |
| 1984s | truly heartwarming to just see all the |
| 1986s | love and the time and the effort you all |
| 1988s | poured into these characters the badges |
| 1990s | and the banners so thank you so much um |

| 1995s | um it was a job well done thank you |
| 1997s | everyone yeah 3,000 barely barely any of |

| 2003s | well uh but for real when you have 3,000 |
| 2006s | submissions and you have to narrow it |
| 2007s | down to to what is it 12 uh 16 winners |

| 2072s | uh I'm psyched about this I would kill |

| 2080s | solving crimes murder mysteries maybe |
| 2082s | doing a little murder of their own yeah |
| 2085s | I'm sure they' do some murdering on |

| 2090s | have an outfit for the dredge called |
| 2092s | dredge fear of reminiscence by Euro Euro |
| 2095s | tuso amazing so as you can tell that an |
| 2098s | incredible design and with it uh comes |
| 2101s | an incredible technical challenge oh |
| 2103s | yeah definitely dork wanted to say a |
| 2105s | little bit about that just so folks are |
| 2106s | aware how this works yes so thank you so |
| 2109s | much uh for those uh pieces um on that |
| 2112s | note I did want to say that this outfit |
| 2114s | while it was viewed the most and |
| 2116s | received a ton of love from the |
| 2117s | community um we are super excited to be |
| 2120s | adapting this into the game and for this |
| 2122s | outfit uh to fit the technical and |
| 2124s | narrative uh requirements we would need |
| 2126s | to make a couple of adjustments while |
| 2128s | keeping the original design idea intact |

| 2411s | went all out on the rewards for this one |
| 2413s | and I'm really excited for you to tell |
| 2415s | us about it so what can you tell so yeah |
| 2417s | um this has been a really exciting to |
| 2419s | for us to work on for a bunch of reasons |
| 2422s | um for starters Dominus is an extension |
| 2425s | of our Castlevania chapter so we're |
| 2427s | really gang the opportunity to dive |
| 2429s | deeper into that world than ever before |
| 2431s | um the title Dominus comes from you know |
| 2433s | the new Castlevania Dominus collection |
| 2435s | which was recently released um it's a |
| 2438s | re-release of a handful of Nintendo DS |
| 2440s | Castlevania games so we pulled a lot of |
| 2443s | the uh inspiration from outfits uh you |
| 2445s | know straight from those games all right |
| 2448s | so how much more Castlevania content can |
| 2450s | players expect to see as part of this |
| 2452s | town they can expect a ton we've got |
| 2456s | some unbelievable outfits which I'll |
| 2458s | tell you about in in a second but beyond |
| 2460s | that from the memory unlocks to all the |
| 2463s | other Awards in Dominus everything is |
| 2465s | either Gothic inspired or Castlevania |
| 2468s | inspired uh we treated this to as a |
| 2470s | giant celebration of all things |
| 2472s | Castlevania and we really want the |
| 2474s | players to feel that so uh with that |
| 2477s | being said you know we've been really |
| 2478s | lucky um to develop a great relationship |
| 2480s | with Konami uh over the years and they |
| 2483s | really opened the door for us to to |
| 2485s | delve into their past games and touch |
| 2487s | base on some of those amazing elements |
| 2489s | from those uh actual games and I think |
| 2493s | you know players uh who are you know |
| 2494s | fans of the franchise will be really |
| 2496s | fond of um so safe to say uh we just had |
| 2500s | a blast you know we went all out with uh |
| 2503s | you know this to and hopefully both |
| 2505s | Castlevania fans and DVD fans alike will |
| 2507s | love it too well I know they're going to |
| 2510s | love it because we've got some amazing |
| 2512s | outfits to look into so let's go ahead |
| 2513s | and jump right into that um so what are |
| 2515s | the standouts from the ninus collection |
| 2517s | that players can earn here yeah so for |

| 2521s | legendary outfits uh s has the S Cruise |

| 2527s | true form for Dracula and the best part |

| 2536s | it's a visceral legendary which means it |

| 2575s | of what you get to you know have in the |
| 2577s | dominance and while I don't want to |
| 2578s | spoil just |
| 2579s | everything come on Brandon a little bit |
| 2582s | I'll give you something you know there's |
| 2584s | a little there's a little Easter egg |
| 2586s | little treat yeah and um yeah there's a |
| 2588s | really cool Easter egg that you'll find |
| 2590s | um it's going to be attached to s's |
| 2592s | legendary outfits so I won't say |
| 2594s | anything more than that but you know if |
| 2596s | you figure it out you may just get a |
| 2598s | little surprised at the end okay so you |
| 2601s | heard Brandon you've got your homework |
| 2604s | so figure it out and then tell me the |
| 2606s | answer um but oh I'm so excited to see |
| 2609s | what all of that and we already talked |
| 2611s | about so much that's like because |
| 2612s | everything has been earnable so far in |
| 2614s | the rift um and not just the outfits um |
| 2617s | so can you give us a bit of a preview of |
| 2618s | some of the other Awards yeah for sure |
| 2620s | um so from player cards to badges you |
| 2623s | know banners charms um all these items |
| 2627s | are being pulled from uh castlevania's |
| 2629s | history um we wouldn't have enough time |
| 2631s | to really go into detail with all of |
| 2633s | them but here are some of my favorites |
| 2635s | um so for example the badges |
| 2638s | uh you have great stuff like sh know's |
| 2639s | back tattoo um we also have death's |
| 2641s | companion that you know perches on |
| 2643s | death's shoulder in the games and we |
| 2645s | also have character portraits like alard |
| 2648s | s and Dracula of |
| 2650s | course yeah oh gosh I had a chance to |
| 2652s | look at the banners and charms as well |
| 2654s | and they are just gorgeous like I said |
| 2656s | the team really went all up with the |
| 2658s | with this to um and you know we got some |
| 2661s | gorgeous banners that uh you know may be |
| 2663s | familiar to some fans of the franchise |
| 2665s | um they feature call backs to Symphony |
| 2668s | of the Night like the transition room um |
| 2670s | we also have a classic Castlevania map |
| 2673s | layout and some iconic scenes like The |
| 2675s | Stairway to the throne room and you know |
| 2678s | last but not least the throne room |
| 2680s | throne room itself which I'm sure |
| 2682s | players are going to love um and then |
| 2684s | you got charms uh you can earn things |
| 2687s | like the old school axe the bone pillar |
| 2689s | enemy and a little fun map that kind of |
| 2692s | nods to Castlevania and dbd at the same |
| 2695s | time um and some super memorable Castle |
| 2697s | pania bosses that maybe some players |
| 2699s | have faced over the years all right |
| 2702s | honestly that all sounds amazing and as |
| 2703s | you mentioned there's even memories tied |
| 2705s | to the Tome um that will be associated |
| 2707s | with these characters yes they will and |
| 2709s | you're going to have to you know play |
| 2710s | and unlock them yourselves to you know |
| 2712s | really find out what they're all about |
| 2714s | but I'll just say it was really cool to |
| 2716s | explore some more lore for characters |
| 2718s | like Dracula uh for Trevor and uh maybe |
| 2721s | players will get to see alard Pop in |
| 2723s | within those memories too um you'll |
| 2725s | learn a little bit more you know you |
| 2727s | know about each and every one of them |
| 2729s | and you might even get to see some |
| 2731s | Recreations of memoral scenes in past |
| 2734s | Castlevania games and I think players |
| 2736s | are going to really really like that one |
| 2738s | oh yeah I'm really excited to see what |
| 2739s | players react to all of this um and |
| 2742s | finally I know that we're also releasing |
| 2744s | another collection for players to earn |
| 2746s | so this might not be tied directly to |
| 2748s | Castlevania but it is a really Gothic |
| 2750s | right yeah exactly you know as a part of |
| 2753s | this to we've also got a great bunch of |
| 2755s | outfits uh that are part of our goth |
| 2757s | Tales Gothic tales collection as you |
| 2760s | mentioned these aren't pulled directly |
| 2761s | from Castlevania but they're inspired by |
| 2763s | Gothic tee themes to make something |
| 2766s | original for all their characters um so |
| 2769s | with without further Ado we've got the |
| 2772s | Phantom metal outfit for Jeff um here he |
| 2775s | is rocking his medieval threads and a |
| 2778s | demonic Phantom of the Opera kind of |
| 2781s | style mask that yeah his mask looks |
| 2783s | really cool and I love the red yeah the |
| 2785s | touch of red is my favorite um um moving |
| 2788s | on for claudet you know we got the |
| 2791s | downfall and blue outfit for claudet uh |
| 2793s | keeping in character of course it |
| 2796s | includes um a book strapped to her belt |
| 2800s | okay you guys can't see my face right |
| 2801s | now but I'm losing my mind over this |
| 2803s | cosmetic this is amazing and I love that |
| 2806s | little touch of blue um on her tors so |
| 2809s | oh absolutely uh moving forward we got |
| 2812s | Meg and she has the dark Maneuvers |
| 2814s | outfit that has her looking quite Regal |
| 2816s | and you know ready for battle at the |
| 2818s | same time she does look really Regal I |

| 2822s | that's so good it's it's it's a it's a |
| 2824s | common thing with the Reds and Blues in |
| 2826s | this collection that I really love um |
| 2829s | but you know we also got some Killers um |
| 2831s | we got the unknown and they have the |
| 2834s | bonfire Fair outfit uh turning them into |
| 2837s | the world's most terrifying medieval |
| 2839s | Soldier and I love that weapon I could |
| 2841s | not imagine what someone in that time |
| 2843s | period would say if they saw the unknown |
| 2845s | looking like this I I would know |
| 2848s | either and uh last but not least this is |
| 2850s | my personal favorite um the artmade |
| 2853s | flesh outfit for the artist which |
| 2855s | reimagined her as a a Gothic demon |
| 2857s | complete with an animated flame burning |
| 2859s | on top of her head love that that |
| 2862s | headpiece is just Immaculate oh my gosh |

| 3023s | seeing what the the store team is like |
| 3025s | pulled out and I know you guys has gone |
| 3027s | all the way with Halloween um especially |
| 3030s | this year with some familiar collections |
| 3032s | coming back um as well as some new ones |
| 3034s | that we've got to introduce so where do |
| 3036s | we |
| 3037s | start uh well our hunted by daylight |
| 3039s | event is right around the corner so |
| 3041s | let's start with the void collection |
| 3043s | okay Justin was up earlier in the show |
| 3045s | to give us a reminder of just how |
| 3047s | terrifying the void actually is and uh |
| 3049s | this collection that we started last |
| 3051s | year is really proof of that uh nobody |
| 3054s | escapes the void realm unscathed this |
| 3056s | place has the ability to seep into a |
| 3058s | character's DNA and corrupt them and |
| 3060s | really leave behind a mark uh so we've |
| 3063s | extended that effect into this |
| 3064s | collection and really imagined what it |
| 3066s | would be like to see them like the |
| 3069s | long-term effects of that if they get |
| 3071s | trapped in the void realm okay um so |
| 3074s | this year we've we're doing four outfits |
| 3076s | for the void collection and up first we |
| 3078s | have Kate uh as you can see we've pushed |
| 3081s | the collection style a bit further than |
| 3083s | last year oh I really like what you guys |
| 3085s | did with her hair and her top that's |
| 3086s | really cool yeah and like here on Adam |
| 3089s | we can see that his outfit is still |
| 3091s | heavily inspired by the bass look but |
| 3093s | with some extra flare in addition to all |
| 3095s | the changes the void has caused oh yeah |
| 3097s | and his hair and his facial hair that's |
| 3099s | so |
| 3100s | nice and for zarena we've done some |
| 3102s | really cool patterning on her pants as |
| 3104s | well as a void interpretation of her |
| 3106s | classic leather jacket and scarf style |
| 3109s | that is a really cool change up on her |
| 3111s | top that is really nice and finally |
| 3114s | since this is the first year where |
| 3115s | Killers can use their power in the void |
| 3118s | it was the perfect time to also add our |
| 3120s | first killer to the |
| 3121s | collections terrifying D oh my |
| 3126s | God woo okay that was a perfect spooky |
| 3129s | collection to kick things off um and for |
| 3131s | everyone out there don't forget the void |
| 3133s | collection is a Tim limited collection |
| 3136s | it's only going to be available for the |
| 3137s | duration of the event which is from |
| 3139s | October 17th to November 7th so other |
| 3143s | than that what else can you tell us |
| 3144s | about these other collections tied to |
| 3145s | the event uh so also coming back this |
| 3148s | year is our Tricks and Treats collection |
| 3150s | which is a huge hit with the fans um the |
| 3153s | vibe of this collection has always been |
| 3154s | very classic uh very fun Halloween |
| 3157s | costumes and this year is no different |
| 3160s | uh we're doing two outfits one for Sable |
| 3163s | and one for Michaela uh since this is |
| 3166s | one of the first times that we've had |
| 3167s | two survivors so closely connected uh |
| 3171s | before they entered the fog it seems |
| 3173s | like the perfect opportunity for us to |
| 3175s | do a group outfit for them okay yeah uh |
| 3178s | so we have the fiery spider outfit for |
| 3181s | Sable which is very on brand for her oh |
| 3184s | wow look at her that's amazing yeah uh |
| 3188s | and the fiery cat outfit from Michaela |
| 3191s | which turns her into sort of sa's loyal |
| 3193s | Fe feline familiar oh yeah cuz see like |
| 3196s | her little cat ears and the little cat |
| 3198s | face paint it's so cute people are going |
| 3200s | to love that it's really great um and |
| 3202s | just like the void realm Tricks and |
| 3204s | Treats is also a Time limited collection |
| 3205s | for the duration of the |
| 3207s | all right well those are some really |
| 3208s | perfect costumes um but Halloween and |
| 3211s | dead by daylight isn't all Tricks and |
| 3213s | Treats Kirby sometimes it's serious it's |
| 3215s | terrifying it's scary it's scariest time |
| 3217s | of the year um especially in the |
| 3219s | entities's realm and we have to go into |
| 3221s | Halloween with some gruesome outfits as |
| 3224s | well which perfect uh segue for the |
| 3227s | hollowood plight collection so how about |
| 3229s | you tell us more about that one yeah so |
| 3230s | this is our sixth year doing the hall BL |
| 3232s | collection and we've got some really |
| 3234s | great new outfits to help it grow uh it |
| 3237s | typically features a bunch of killers |
| 3239s | and really knows how to make like their |
| 3241s | default very terrifying style even |
| 3243s | scarier which is probably why it's so |
| 3245s | popular um this year we're doing a |
| 3248s | handful of new outfits including the |
| 3251s | bladed pig that has serum absolutely |
| 3254s | oozing out of her pores oh my God her |
| 3256s | face is so twisted up yeah and another |
| 3260s | addition we've got is the blighted good |
| 3261s | guy and you can see really see where the |
| 3263s | blight has sort of transformed him and |
| 3265s | added extra arms and the legs that are |
| 3267s | now grafted to his torso he looks |
| 3269s | terrified to look at oh my God yeah uh |
| 3274s | We've also got the tragic hero outfit |
| 3276s | for Nicholas Cage that sees him in a |
| 3278s | blight splattered Ensemble and also |
| 3280s | rocking some really incredible sideburns |
| 3283s | he does have some incredible sideburns |
| 3284s | but that that hero pose I love that as |
| 3287s | well uh and finally we have the bladed |
| 3290s | Bounty Hunter for the death Slinger |
| 3292s | we've done a lot of license killers in |
| 3294s | this collection in the past few years so |
| 3296s | it was really cool to do an original |
| 3298s | here and we really love how it turned |
| 3299s | out it is awesome that we did an |
| 3302s | original I absolutely love it 10 out of |
| 3304s | 10 um I'm always amazed at how the |
| 3306s | hollowed Bight collection um both look |
| 3309s | managed to look cool and also really |
| 3311s | gross um so hats off to the art team uh |
| 3314s | now to close things off I hear that we |
| 3316s | getting some new additions for another |
| 3318s | collection yeah exactly so the alien |
| 3321s | collection is back with two new outfits |
| 3323s | one is a completely original creation |
| 3326s | we've done for the xenomorph as well as |
| 3328s | a nostalgic look for Ellen Ripley uh so |
| 3331s | to start we have the allnew Juggernaut |
| 3335s | xenomorph we wanted to explore a neverbe |
| 3338s | seen xenomorph design so we challenged |
| 3340s | our artists to see what they could come |
| 3342s | up with and we're super happy with the |
| 3344s | final results yeah I am not ready to get |
| 3346s | CH like chased by that no thank |
| 3349s | you yeah and uh for Ripley we have the |
| 3352s | new pressure suit outfit that was |
| 3354s | heavily inspired by the iconic space |
| 3357s | suit from the original alien film and |
| 3359s | we're really hoping that uh fans of the |
| 3361s | franchise will get a kick out of it that |
| 3363s | is an awesome call back and an amazing |
| 3365s | cosmetic oh wow so this is so much thank |
| 3369s | you so much k for that download of |

| 3715s | update on the next iteration of 2 V8 |
| 3718s | that's just around the corner so thanks |

| 3722s | so as I mentioned I use the word |
| 3723s | iteration I might say it a few more |
| 3725s | times because it's kind of the perfect |
| 3726s | word so when uh we brought the the mode |
| 3729s | out this past summer we said it would be |
| 3731s | a first iteration and it truly was and |
| 3734s | now we're ready to bring the second |
| 3735s | iteration which will be from November |
| 3737s | 12th to November 26th so you have to |
| 3740s | wait another minute but we have a lot as |
| 3742s | you've just seen in the show a lot |
| 3743s | coming to TI you over there um but yeah |
| 3746s | the team from the beginning knew that |
| 3748s | what we released in the summer this |
| 3749s | isn't the final product this is our |
| 3750s | first step So Justin's going to tell us |
| 3752s | about what we've done to uh address |
| 3755s | player feedback and add some new |
| 3757s | functionality so why don't we start tell |
| 3759s | me how the team reacted to the players |
| 3761s | reaction to 2 V8 yeah so first I mean it |
| 3764s | was a great reception from the community |
| 3767s | our team was super happy we were really |
| 3768s | relieved there were no big bugs huge |
| 3770s | shut out to the team they put in a lot |
| 3771s | of effort for that first iteration so uh |
| 3774s | it was great to see it be a success and |
| 3776s | of course of course anytime you put |
| 3777s | something live for the first time ever |
| 3779s | you're going to learn something new uh |
| 3780s | sometimes it can be anticipated |
| 3782s | sometimes it can kind of come out of the |
| 3784s | blue uh with that in mind we've made a |
| 3786s | few changes for v2 real quick we also |
| 3788s | did a few things we knew we wanted to do |
| 3790s | in |
| 3791s | advance uh and we're getting it back out |
| 3794s | in players hands pretty quickly as you |
| 3795s | can imagine I think some people |
| 3797s | speculated 6 months would be the next |
| 3799s | run we're doing it basically in three |
| 3801s | yep and it's largely cuz one we didn't |
| 3803s | want players to wait 6 months to Play It |
| 3806s | Again of and we didn't want to wait |
| 3808s | months to get more feed yeah 6 months is |
| 3810s | kind of the standard dbd turnaround time |
| 3812s | so getting it in within within this |
| 3813s | window is actually a big win for us and |
| 3815s | for players so psych that it could be |
| 3816s | come back um so you mentioned that you |
| 3818s | already had stuff that and the team |
| 3820s | already had stuff they wanted to address |
| 3822s | before we even got the player feedback |
| 3824s | so let's start with that yeah of course |
| 3827s | I mean we knew for one that more content |
| 3830s | was needed we had five killers in the |
| 3831s | first iteration we have to add more |
| 3833s | killers of course probably add more maps |
| 3836s | so that was something we knew we wanted |
| 3837s | to lock in real quick happy to announce |
| 3839s | today that we are adding three new |
| 3841s | Killers for this next iteration it will |
| 3842s | be the death Slinger there he is uh the |
| 3847s | blight look at him in his glory and the |
| 3851s | spirit of course |
| 3853s | T awesome and with those new Killers can |
| 3856s | we also expect some new maps yes so five |
| 3858s | new maps of course Dead Dog Saloon is |
| 3860s | going to make his first appearance in 2v |
| 3861s | eight yamok State as well and then |
| 3864s | there'll be three additional Maps from |
| 3866s | the existing Realms we last time uh and |
| 3870s | then the last thing for sure that we |
| 3872s | always knew we were going to do in this |
| 3873s | iteration long before we got feedback |
| 3875s | was survivors had classes in the first |
| 3877s | iteration Killers did not we knew that |
| 3879s | one day we wanted Killers to be at |
| 3880s | parody there so a killer classes aha all |
| 3884s | right so hold on to that for a minute |
| 3885s | we'll come back to the killer classes so |
| 3887s | that's what you knew you were going to |
| 3888s | change already so the UN unknown element |
| 3891s | was what the players would say and think |
| 3893s | so what did we get from player feedback |
| 3895s | that we're working on in this new |
| 3897s | version yeah so the first big one was |
| 3900s | the I mean people really wanted to play |
| 3903s | killer in this first iteration and it |
| 3904s | makes sense we anticipated that to some |
| 3906s | level it's the first time you play with |
| 3907s | a friend as a killer or play with a |
| 3909s | partner of course I think the extent to |
| 3912s | which that was true was far greater than |
| 3914s | we anticipated some players were waiting |
| 3917s | eight nine 10 minutes just for a match |
| 3919s | in 2 V8 is killer shows how awesome the |
| 3922s | experience was but at the same time it's |
| 3924s | not something we want players to have D |
| 3926s | not a great experience of course yes so |
| 3929s | one of the big ways to tackle that we |
| 3931s | figure is to make the Survivor |
| 3932s | experience more exciting more |
| 3934s | interesting uh and that's one of the |
| 3935s | areas of focus for v2 for sure uh |
| 3938s | another thing we noticed as the event |
| 3940s | wore on especially near the end this |
| 3941s | idea of slugging to win became prominent |
| 3944s | we knew that's something we want to |
| 3945s | address in V2 and we have a what we |
| 3947s | believe is a pretty good solution for |
| 3948s | that uh and then last but not least this |
| 3951s | snowballing I mean 1 V4 can snowball a |
| 3954s | little bit but on 2 V8 it was sort of |
| 3957s | exasperated so it could really snowball |
| 3960s | to the point where it wasn't really fun |
| 3962s | at times uh and we have a solution a |
| 3964s | small solution that'll help deal with |
| 3965s | that it's pretty simple uh basically |
| 3967s | every time a Survivor is hooked the Gen |
| 3970s | repair speed will speed up slightly |
| 3972s | every time a generator pops it will |
| 3973s | decrease so as long as the map match is |
| 3975s | staying balanced you won't really feel |
| 3977s | it at all but as soon as it starts to |
| 3979s | snowball one way or the other you'll |
| 3980s | start to feel that system Okay cool so |
| 3983s | you mentioned that our our take to a |
| 3986s | addressing the Q issue is make survivors |
| 3988s | more interesting so let's get into that |
| 3990s | so what is new for the survivors and |
| 3993s | this in this |
| 3994s | iteration yeah so one of the things is |
| 3996s | we wanted to give them more to do and so |
| 3998s | in this next iteration we have two sort |
| 4000s | of I don't know ideas that we are |
| 4003s | introducing I guess today uh we have |
| 4005s | what we call an active ability as well |
| 4008s | as an unlock ability right and the |
| 4010s | unlock ability players would be sort of |
| 4011s | familiar with from the first iteration |
| 4013s | it in the first iteration after being |
| 4015s | sent to the I believe it was two times |
| 4017s | every Survivor would unlock the perk |
| 4019s | selfcare effectively uh we're just |
| 4021s | doubling down on that mechanic now what |
| 4023s | you will unlock is class dependent so |
| 4025s | each class has their own perk The |
| 4027s | Escapist is still self-care but the |
| 4028s | other three classes will have their own |
| 4030s | unique sort of unlock perk that's very |
| 4033s | interesting and I think uh yeah keep |
| 4036s | going keep going we got some video |
| 4037s | queued up that they're going to show you |
| 4038s | here for the the next bit all right good |
| 4040s | and then the next one is active |
| 4042s | abilities just to add more to that |
| 4043s | Survivor gameplay effectively active |
| 4045s | abilities are going to charge up by |
| 4047s | themselves over time that man just |
| 4048s | rebuilt a pallet yes and once it's |
| 4051s | charged you can use your active ability |
| 4053s | you can do great things like rebuild a |
| 4055s | pallet uh you know heal teammates boost |
| 4058s | gen repair speed it just depends on what |
| 4060s | your classes active abilities yeah |
| 4063s | that's awesome um and in the pickups |
| 4066s | right yeah so that's the last thing that |
| 4068s | active abilities can do to address |
| 4069s | slugging if your active ability is |
| 4071s | charged or once it's charged and you're |
| 4073s | in the dying State you can use your |
| 4074s | active ability to pick yourself off the |
| 4075s | ground it's fantastic internally we |
| 4077s | called those active abilities ultimates |
| 4079s | and so that's still sort of how I think |
| 4081s | of them it's like it's a thing that |
| 4082s | recharges you can do it do cool stuff uh |
| 4085s | and uh yes so the the pickup mechanic is |
| 4089s | also you know it brings uh oh |
| 4092s | wait yeah sorry just uh there's it |
| 4097s | brings flashlight saves back into the |
| 4099s | equation is what I was going to say |
| 4100s | exactly so that's the one other big |
| 4102s | thing we heard a lot in the first |
| 4104s | iteration was like there's no flashlight |
| 4106s | saes so Killers will have to Pi up a |
| 4108s | Survivor again they can send to the cage |
| 4111s | reintroduces that gameplay there's more |
| 4113s | interactions with the killers again |
| 4114s | which is what we really want yeah there |
| 4116s | you go right there there's the video |
| 4118s | they're waiting for us to say the |
| 4119s | flashlight that's |
| 4121s | why all right so of course you just saw |
| 4124s | there's a ton more for the survivors to |
| 4125s | do and again the the the hope is that |
| 4127s | gives more people a draw to play |
| 4129s | survivors so we don't have such a |
| 4131s | lopsided killer queue um so speaking of |
| 4134s | killers you mentioned earlier that we're |
| 4135s | adding classes so let's get into that |
| 4137s | yeah so it's another one of the main |
| 4138s | updates in V2 in the first iteration all |
| 4140s | of killers had their own sort of |
| 4142s | individual abilities uh and those are |
| 4144s | sticking around but in addition to those |
| 4147s | Killers will now be able to choose one |
| 4148s | of four classes which sort of augment |
| 4151s | whatever your preferred play style is as |
| 4152s | killer uh and it really allows you to |
| 4154s | sort of customize whichever character |
| 4156s | you want to the play style you have it |
| 4158s | is important to note I think for |
| 4160s | everybody that in each match you can |
| 4163s | only have one of each class so two |
| 4165s | killers canot use the same class okay |
| 4167s | but I think as far as the classes are |
| 4168s | you know a little bit about them right |
| 4170s | yeah so each killer is going to choose a |
| 4172s | class like you just said so the classes |
| 4173s | are Shadow uh which encourages sneaking |
| 4176s | up on survivors blocking escapes working |
| 4178s | in tandem with the other killer to |
| 4180s | create the element of surprise then |
| 4182s | there's brute all about being relentless |
| 4184s | Unstoppable for us during chases and |
| 4187s | there's the enforcer class that's |
| 4189s | perfect for praying on the week and |
| 4191s | finishing the job on the injured |
| 4192s | survivors and then the fear Monger Focus |
| 4195s | on movement throughout the the map and |
| 4197s | staying unseen to Aid your killer |
| 4200s | partner in The Hunt of course and so we |
| 4202s | knew we wanted to add these classes I |
| 4203s | think they're also going to help us make |
| 4205s | 2v eight a little bit easier to be |
| 4208s | expandable in the future we don't have |
| 4209s | to create so many custom uh unique |
| 4212s | abilities per killer in the future so |
| 4214s | we're we're quite excited about them I'm |
| 4216s | excited to see what people think and to |
| 4217s | see them start playing around with it |
| 4219s | and what combinations they'll do as they |
| 4220s | always do and you know trying out the |
| 4222s | new Killers as well in the mode will |
| 4224s | introduce a ton of Dynamics so thank you |

| 4344s | updates and tweaks to the mor system |

| 4349s | version of the feature a few of the |
| 4351s | latest updates to call out here um after |
| 4354s | seeing the results of the changes made |
| 4356s | to the Ivory and Ebony Mory offerings in |
| 4358s | our ptb we've heard the feedback and are |
| 4361s | reverting these changes the Ivory and |
| 4364s | Ebony um myy offerings will now once |
| 4366s | again allow the killer to kill a |
| 4368s | Survivor who has been hooked twice uh |
| 4370s | We've also made the call to retire the |
| 4372s | Cypress momento Mory offering and will |
| 4375s | be compens in with a million blood |
| 4376s | points uh which can be claimed between |
| 4378s | October 8th and October 17th all right |
| 4382s | well answered thank you thank you thank |
| 4383s | you question two in the haunted by |
| 4386s | daylight event this year can survivors |
| 4389s | heal yes uh survivors can heal |
| 4391s | throughout the trial as they can in the |
| 4393s | live game um what they can't do however |

| 4398s | uh when an injured Survivor enters the |
| 4399s | void or becomes injured within the void |
| 4402s | they will be broken until they exit the |
| 4404s | void Realm um once they've exited they |
| 4407s | can heal as normal oh Justin escaped |

| 4412s | guy question three why isn't 2v eight |
| 4415s | permanent we hear this one a lot well |
| 4417s | right now we're working on iterations |

| 4421s | first one it's completely different than |
| 4423s | the one we talked about today uh we're |
| 4425s | adding more Killers more maps killer |
| 4427s | classes Etc um and as you saw with V1 |
| 4430s | there are often times when changes need |
| 4432s | to be made for killer Powers so we have |
| 4434s | to address each character individually |
| 4437s | um and there's a lot of characters in |
| 4438s | our game as you know um we also have to |
| 4441s | consider things like cute times um how |
| 4443s | the mode impacts the live game um which |
| 4445s | is always going to be our main priority |
| 4448s | that's right the que the queue is |
| 4449s | definitely important it affected the the |
| 4451s | the 1v4 mode as well yes absolutely so |
| 4454s | question four when is the Freddy We |
| 4457s | rework coming uh we are still looking at |
| 4460s | introducing an update to Freddy it's |
| 4462s | planned for 2025 um this is still work |
| 4465s | in progress so we do not have any |
