I mean, in last two cases, I've spent like 10+ mins searching for the second battery only to find it on a place I've checked several times before. Is the spawn timed or something?

External link →They are placed when the cave is generated. I've occasionally found one in a small space in the ceiling, or inside the ice on Glacial Strata.
