There appears to be an issue with the amount of direct damage done with the Overclock "Magic Bullets" when combined with the Tier 3 mod "Explosive Rounds" and how other damage mods interact with this. Indirect damage seems fine. I tested this several times, noting inconsistencies from expected outcomes. I'll go over some of my builds tested to give you an idea of what the issue is. Build format will be 1, 2, or 3 for mods left to right with each tier separated by a "/" with a 0 meaning no mod. Loot bugs have 100 health as far as I am aware so I used them primarily for testing.
Control Build: 2/3/2/1/0 - NO OC
- Listed Direct damage: 22.5
- Listed Indirect damage: 30
- Direct Shots to kill Loot Bug: 2
- Result: Normal
First OC Build: 2/3/2/1/0 - Magic Bullets OC
- Listed Direct damage: 12.5
- Listed Indirect damage: 30
- Direct Shots to kill Loot Bug: 4
- Result: Atypical. Direct damage seems to actually be ~2.5 as 3 shots has the loot bug with a sliver of health but should be enough to kill it outright.
Second OC Build: 2/3/2/2/0 - Magic Bullets OC
- Listed Direct damage: 22.5
- Listed Indirect damage: 30
- Direct Shots to kill Loot Bug: 2
- Indirect shots to kill Loot Bug: 4
- Result: Normal. Same damage as control build no OC with same result.
Third OC build: 2/1/2/1/0 - Magic Bullets OC
- Listed Direct damage: 17.5
- Listed Indirect damage: 30
- Direct Shots to kill Loot Bug: 3
- Result: Abnormal because the loot bug had 20-25 health after the 2nd shot when it should have been at 5 health. One melee (25 damage) finishes it but it takes 3 minigun hits (which indicates >20 health).
Final OC Build: Only Magic Bullets
- Listed Direct damage: 25
- Direct Shots to kill Loot Bug: 4
- Result: Normal
At first I thought this was simply a description issue where Magic Bullets always took -20 off of direct damage even though when combined with Explosive Rounds it appears reduced to -10, but equipping the Tier 4 damage mod seemed to give the listed amount of damage while the Tier 2 damage mod still lacks behind by ~10. I assume there is some logic issue with the way the mods are affecting each other but I could be completely wrong. Hope this helps!
