Ok so having been in this subreddit since its creation i've seen basically every meme ever posted, the good and the bad, the clever and the shit, and respost after repost after respost. I USUALLY dont do anything about it unless its absolutely stretching its ability to be relative to DRG. It may have been the 10th time i've seen "MY DWARF LOOKS LIKE KARL MARX" but it stills nabs a thousand karma so i leave it alone even when high quality/high effort stuff gets basically ignored. But now i'll just ask ya'll; should i even try enforcing a bare minimum "no low effort shitposting" rule? Like at some point it feels like some posts are bots reposting popular things for karma >: /
As evident by OPs screenshot, Reddit is pretty self-regulatory in this regard, so we’ll let up and downvotes sort this out.
