[2021] Stuck on joining a game while having mods enabled

Hello

not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I have been experiencing a strange bug regarding mods and joining other peoples games. Basically what happens is that when I try to join a game for the very first time after logging, in which the creator doesn't have any mods but I do have, I get a small prompt that says that my mods will disabled when I join. To which I simply accept that I wont have any mods and that's fine. But the problem starts after that when I try and join another game with mods activated, but I then get an infinite black screen which only shows the joining animation and nothing is happening. Only way to fix this is by deactivating the mods, after which it works normally. And apparently I am not the only one (according to steam).

What I want to know does anybody here have the same issue and dose anybody know will this be addressed in the planned hotfix ?
