[2023] Really sad that there is no steam/xbox app crossplay, is it planned in the future?

Title, i bought the game on steam so I could play with my friends who have gamepass eventually, but after trying to get it to work i found out that steam/xbox pc app does not work. So now i have 20 hours on this game and I cant play with friends.

While we'd love to, an official implementation is sadly not in the cards. It's a massive technical hurdle we are not equipped to handle at this time.
