Keep in mind we are still finalising the implementation and stuff may change before the update drops. That said...

In S03 and S04 the many missions with the lithophage warning are extras that are added on top of the usual missions on the map. When you disable seasonal content these extra missions are removed from your map. They will not be part of any assignments or anything else.

However if you open the server browser you will still see and can join a lithophage mission (even though its not on your map)

Since the host computer controls all event chances, wave spawns, etc, if you join someone who does not have the seasonal content turned off tat mission will play like a normal S04 mission (regarding lithophage event chances and rockpox enemy waves)

As for missions that you host, they are just the same missions that all players have available except that there will be no chance for rockpox waves and the chance of lithophage events will be the same as rival events from s01 and s02.

No, the spacerig will stay the same. The season terminal will also still function the same and you will continue to earn season xp, etc...

The ones in the performance pass/cosmetic tree go into the normal loot pool. The ones in the upcoming weapon maintananace system, will stay in that system.

While a new paint job will be added each season, your progress in it will not reset. The new paint jobs are just added to the end of the list for each weapon. It's a completely self-contained system.

Just to clarify, it's not completely going away. The option simply sets season 3 and 4 content to the same spawn chances as all the season 1 and 2 content. You can still get a meteorite strike but now it will only happen as often as a rival data tower event.

Yes, to the same level as a rival prospector is now. I don't remember the exact value but it's very low.

The lithophage missions are extras added to the map. If you toggle the seasonal content off, those extra missions are removed from your map and will not be selected for assignments.

Things like events (corruptor, meteorite) are controlled by the host so the probability of seeing one will depend on weather the host has the content on or off.

I was not completely clear, sorry. I meant the auto-generated assignments and assignments that are looking for missions with random warnings.

The season assignment specifically looks for missions with the lithophage warning and as such you would want the seasonal content activated for those, otherwise it could take a long time to complete them as you will rely on rng to create a lithophage mission which is not very likely.

That said, I would expect most players who reach lvl 100 in the performance pass have also done the initial season assignments...
