So let me introduce myself I'm not the best but for sure a top aimer and tracking hoe and also high rank player in many games im played(cs go faceit 10, ow gm, qc 2300 duels etc). Kovaak: Top100 on scens like rex srafe cats inv, fast strafes cata inv, midrange fast strafes and many others. In qc I'm also managed to win LG VS LG duels versus such pro players with good aim like Vengeur and Raisy, yeas have 0 chances to win duel itself but LG VS LG fightS its possible and consistent. So I understand how to aim and track and how to proper use shaft.

Now I have 55-75ms on Europe servers and can't hit sh*t with this ping my shaft acc drop on 10-20% depending on opponent ping. I'm also take on 10-20% more acc damage in myself depending on opponent ping. So I'm do way less damage and eat much more. Have 0 issues with 60ms on any others games at all but here its just impossible to hit, shots don't connect player model and hitbox don't connect. I'm losing 1vs1 Shaft arena versus mediocre aimers with no chance. I remember some nicks and in prep tests I melt them. Win against any decent player with ping 40 and lower its impossible for me now.

I have any chance only if my opponent have the same ping or at least a bit near but my acc still be super trashy ~30%+ at the best ALSO feeling of impact and knockback weird af because of it I can't understand how its push me and in what direction because its not linked with actual shots. Its like playing quake live on 90ms versus 10ms. But ql have old netcode from 90-2000x dial-up era and diabotical is a 2020 game...its apply to every weapons not only shaft but shaft suffers way more.

In cbt and prev tests i had problem with multithread mouse input option, now its solved and mouse feel great but even with sh*tty floaty input from prev tests I have way more accuracy in them. Now for me its a Physically impossible to have a good accuracy.

Its fine to miss or lose cause its ur own fault or very good opponent play but not because game netcode just don't let you win and bully you.

Im really love child gaem and now have stable 250fps with 0 performance issues besides this one. ALSO meet a lot of people who's say how its easy now to hit player with higher ping and how its hard to hit someone with lower ping, how its easy to dodge VS player with higher ping and how its harder VS payer with lower. And its without a big ping difference, with big Ping difference its close impossible.

I never thought I'd say that, but I like quake champions netcode way more and have 0 issues with it if we compare it to diabotical current serverside netcode. Remind its not only affect shooting but its also affect dodge u just can't dodge now, so its like x2 crit.

I hope this post help and devs fix netcode cause at the end its doesn't really matter client or server side netcode is, it just has to be good and work.

So far I haven't seen a delta so high, people report a few % difference, and we are going to improve that, right now we are trying a pure conservative approach to make sure it's completely solid. But it shouldn't be that bad right now. Could you DM me on Discord? Thanks!

To update other people having similar issues. I had a chat with VegetableVampire and I suspect this is a congestion issue from a less than ideal connection to the server and not an issue with our backwards reconciliation implementation. The main thing I want to focus on right now is that he has good aim with pncr but poor aim with shaft. Shaft is a lot of packages very fast so if the connection is not great and our transport has some issues that's gonna cause some congestion and momentarily increase your latency. With the latency changing so rapidly the backwards reconciliation algorithm starts failing.

We have a tentative fix for this and it's being tested. For anybody having a especially bad experience with LG compared to other weapons, I'll update when we think we have a fix.

UPDATE: Got good feedback on the fix so going ahead and pushing this as v294.

Its not perfect but really good now and much better than it was before, a really big difference actually.
