It’s that time again… it’s patch notes day! Even better, it’s our first update release of the new year! The team’s been hard at work bringing the magic of Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. to life in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and so we’re excited to officially welcome you to The Laugh Floor!

From a new Realm and two monstrous new villagers, to improvements within Scrooge McDuck’s Shop and new ways to customize your avatar, there’s a lot to dig into with this update. Not only that, but we have a wide range of bug fixes and optimizations to share, thanks as always to the ever-helpful feedback of this community.

The Pumpkin King Returns Update marks the end of early access for Disney Dreamlight Valley, but we’re not slowing down on sharing free updates filled with exciting content! Hey there Valley Villagers!

It’s patch day once again! Following up on the recent release of the A Festival of Friendship update, we received some very useful feedback from you, the community, which helped us squash some pesky bugs that arrived alongside the update.

Today’s small hotfix update addresses some of these issues, bringing about fixes that should help keep your Valley moving and grooving. Please see the list below for a breakdown of what to expect from the update:

Bug Fixes:

• Players can now place the main chest outdoors.
  
• Players are no longer blocked from giving gifts to critters while completing Mirabel’s questline.
  
• “Stitch’s Hobby” quest: The quest should now progress as normal when Stitch reaches the bottom of the Mystical Cave.
  
• “What Home Feels Like” quest: Players currently stuck on this quest will be granted Dandelion Syrup in order to allow them to progress...

Howdy Valley Villagers!

It’s update week once again and we couldn’t be more excited for this one! Not only have we seen your excitement in response to our sneak peeks on social, but we’ve got a bunch of other surprises below that we think you’ll be just as jazzed about!

The Early Access of Disney Dreamlight Valley has been progressing well and we’re really happy with what we’ve achieved already. We’ve squashed hundreds of bugs, improved game performance, and continue to work hard to implement improvements suggested by you, our passionate community. But of course, this is only the beginning!

Our next major content update, A Festival of Friendship, releases on Thursday, February 16th and there’s a lot to cover, so let’s get to it! We say this every time an update rolls around, but it bears repeating – thank you for your diligence in sharing your in-game experiences with us and flagging any issues and concerns you have! These continue to go a long way towards helping us identify, triage, and resolve issues, and this update is no different.
