573s that Dennis and the guys are working in

576s pipeline we also noticed that we
578s deployed um a last kind
581s of um a word of caution slw warning at
584s the moment for anyone that is currently
586s running a play test with
588s 10 uh the last update kind of kind of
591s broke a few things um in preparation for
596s S saves that were not uh so kind of give
600s some context to
602s that um the save games that are coming
606s from 9.7 and migrating over to
610s 10 needs to have the settlement feature
614s disabled when they boot up the server
617s the idea was that we added a migration
619s that was kind of supposed to
620s automatically do that so if the if the
623s server detect that hey this save is
624s coming
625s from uh a version prior to
628s 10 just flag the settlements features as
631s disabled and then it should in theory
633s just
636s work um it it turned out that it's a
640s little bit too aggressive on the
641s migration and it also applied to the
643s current existing 10.0 saves which was
646s not
647s intended um so if you're booting it up
650s with uh yeah just just a little bit
653s broken
655s um but they're they're they're looking
658s at it right now so um if you have a
661s current play
662s test you
665s uh might need to just wait a little bit
668s to update um but we'll we'll have more
672s information on that in um as we kind of
675s go along
677s here it's all good I think I hope
682s maybe um but yeah it's been a crazy load
686s um we uh we're we're finally here
691s uh it's been it feels like it's been
692s forever for us um in terms of releasing
696s um actionable content for you guys to um

736s minutes the intended time um if that's
740s on the minute we're not going to
742s guarantee it because we know how Steam
744s Works and we're kind of end we're kind
748s of dreadfully anticipating potential
752s issues in the pipeline deployment
755s um so you know preliminary time for in
758s about 15 minutes um if it takes a few
760s minutes longer or if it takes a half an
762s hour longer we'll know on the stream um
765s as I'll probably get poked by Dennis
766s with Angry Angry messages saying hey

773s um but it's it's it'll be
777s uh things things in information will
779s roll out here as they can of happen and
782s uh as we run through this and this is
784s this is quite wild it's been
788s uh it's been a uh a long journey um will
793s the Linux server be available from the
795s SLG website that's one of the things
796s that we're precarious about um steam
799s will probably not be as much of an issue
801s as our website deployment I think that's
804s still
806s semi-manual
808s um like I said I'll I'll update with
812s uh when things are actually released
815s when things are actually
817s available um as we uh as we kind of chug

823s um a few things for people that are
825s migrating uh one as I mentioned
827s settlement system should be
829s automatically disabled make sure you
830s have a backup off your save when you
832s roll over um s is kind of
836s huge
838s um General warning sign whenever you're
840s upgrading
841s from uh a major update version and that
845s kind of goes along for any game really
847s not just no not just Eco in specific uh
850s when whenever you're updating majorly uh
853s make sure to save a
856s backup
858s um hosted service will work day one if
860s we're starting a new server for update
862s 10 um for General server hosts I we we
866s don't control those we have no control
867s over them they pull from Steam I believe
871s when it's available so when it's
874s available for everyone else on Steam the
876s server host will have a will have access
878s to
879s it um so there might be some time
882s dilation discrepancy in between that
885s update happening
886s to um
889s everything uh will the update for the
891s claim the the client uh and and like all
895s all the versions are released in one
897s patch when we build when we do a build
900s it does all of it in one go so it does
902s the clients it does the servers of all
904s the different variations and they all
906s get pushed simultaneously to the same
909s location so all of that comes into um it
913s its own kind of package in the pipeline
915s uh when we press like you know make a
918s new build for an
920s update um yeah server hosts are usually
923s pretty pretty quick at pulling it um I
926s think it pings in their internal system
928s like they do with version updates and
930s then they see that steam has released a
932s new
934s one um any Steam Sale coming with update
937s 10
938s yes um not sure if it's posted yet but
943s there should
946s be uh and monary pushing the build to
949s play Eco at the same time it it should
951s be like it everything should be
953s generally happening at the same time um
956s Dennis I think has the um control over
958s the buttons for the releases
961s so they should all kind of just happen
964s um if there is an issue I'll I'll bring

968s up uh quickly asking is do SLG actually
973s hiring um depends a little bit on on

1075s things in
1077s 10 that is just just simply unattainable
1081s from 9.7 so um the admins will have to
1084s spawn in seeds um in particular for the
1087s flax plant because flax is quite
1089s embedded into the early game cloth and
1092s lumber
1094s manufacturing uh a full patch list
1097s should be popping out on Steam with the
1099s deployment of the update
1104s itself um it doesn't contain every
1107s single like balance recipe change and
1110s whatnot
1113s um but it does have like a
1115s generalization of a lot of the things
1117s related to
1121s it uh and dudex is there something
1125s preparing for the winter events
1130s um the
1134s uh
1136s um with more detailed balance changes
1138s just I can look into actually compiling
1141s something for that like with the actual
1143s fine print of things um we we just
1146s realized that if I do that for the
1149s actual steam list the whole like it
1151s would take forever to kind of scroll
1152s through
1155s it um and armored on on the topic of the
1160s flag so to clarify if you're starting a
1162s new world in 10 Flex spawns naturally it
1164s spawns just as any other plet it's if
1167s you have a n seven World we're in the
1170s same situation as we were with the
1172s tailoring update in 94 for those who
1175s remember where your world generally
1178s didn't have cotton available at when you
1180s migrated because there's no way to kind
1182s of reintroduce a plant in the same way
1184s because of how embedded all the
1187s different
1189s um um all the different kind of
1192s environmental aspects and everything
1194s like say you know we can't force force
1196s flax to spawn in areas where it wouldn't
1197s be growing
1199s um and if there if if didn't have a
1202s valid place in the world to spawn anyway
1204s then it wouldn't be
1205s spawning um so the easiest way for
1208s anyone that is migrating is just
1212s have
1214s um that is doing that will um just have
1218s an admin spawn in seats and and you know
1221s run it by a distribution station or
1227s something
1231s oh yeah um but either way we have such a
1235s such a huge change in terms of it's
1238s biodiversity um in the different general
1241s areas as well as a huge rework of the
1245s mineral deposits and everything else
1247s that I personally I strongly advise just
1251s running a new
1254s world
1256s uh simply um simply out of the just out
1261s of the sheer scope of changes that have
1263s been going into it
1265s um rookie will we will we ever be able
1268s to place Stone roads the same way as
1271s asphalt roads yes and as everyone else
1274s in in the
1276s um in the chat is agreeing
1281s uh yes you uh you can't when you when
1284s you grab Stone BL Stone Road Blocks now
1286s you'll have uh full access to to the
1289s fill fill form
1293s types
1296s uh as for the or veins yes they've been
1299s completely overhauled um one thing that
1302s might
1303s be um might be causing some some issues
1307s is uh one of the things we wanted to get
1309s in was a config to kind of M Force
1314s migrate um config files as well which
1318s has it's pros and cons um it was not
1321s merged because I didn't have enough time
1322s to kind of test it and make sure that it
1324s actually worked
1326s properly um there's also kind of a a
1329s a bit of caution to not just nuke config
1334s files and changes that people have
1337s done um so if you have generated the
1340s world
1341s before you want to consider just jumping
1345s into your config folder and removing
1347s that world generator do
1352s Eco uh so for anyone I
1357s can't grab this in
1363s here open this up and then I'll switch
1373s over we can't do
1377s this
1379s here and
1381s then these and
1392s we it's not
1395s pretty

1405s generated the
1407s server
1409s um
1410s and like you you started the client you
1413s started a new world or what or or what
1414s have you so inside your Eco folder or if
1418s you're running on Steam um grab that
1421s through
1423s here um you can go in through
1428s properties Why didn't it
1430s do oh right it did that thing hang
1435s on hang
1437s on
1438s that's not what I wanted to
1442s do I wanted to display capture I'm
1447s sorry bit off
1453s the off the Habit
1461s here anything in there yeah no here we
1465s go so when you um if you're running it
1467s on Steam
1469s uh just hop in here go into
1472s properties and you can go into your
1474s installed files and hit browse and that
1478s will pop you up with wherever you have
1480s Eco
1482s installed and here you have under the
1484s server folder eco eco data server this
1488s is where you have everything related to
1490s your configuration settings stored for
1492s your local
1494s server so in this case you have this
1497s world generator Eco which you can just
1501s delete um make sure you don't kick or
1504s make sure you don't kill the templates
1506s otherwise you can just run
1509s a um similar thing here where you go
1512s into installed folders and just verify
1515s Integrity if you accidentally delete one
1516s of the
1517s templates that will make sure that your
1519s config is up to the recent the most
1524s recent
1526s variation um and and that is the file
1529s that's kind of
1533s determining um determining
1536s where where and how it's pulling the
1540s config values for these things
1548s uh over
1556s here uh
1563s uh always see new UI game like option to
1566s stort Sock piles maybe two stocks in
1568s hand um you you already have a whole
1571s bunch of different variations
1573s to like filter whatnot um in terms of
1577s import input output uh filters and kind
1581s of automatically sort things
1585s um through the
1589s don't remember what it's
1590s called consolidate I
1594s think um that'll kind of shule things
1596s around other than that uh stock piles
1598s are listed in terms of crafting stock
1600s piles are are resources are pulled from
1602s stock piles from top to bottom from left
1605s to
1607s right
1609s um that's something that's that was
1611s added 9 95 I think
1617s maybe
1621s uh uh where I'm from I am from
1639s Sweden
1641s uh
1643s yes oh yeah

1647s just the bugs it has um no we'll

1677s around the paddle system and everything
1680s surrounding it
1683s um the um there's a lot of a lot of back
1687s and forth up and downs I've had with
1689s them um tinkering with them as
1693s well uh what about primitive leather
1696s clothes yeah what what anyone that's
1698s poked around in the uh play tests what
1700s do you guys think of it they um we
1702s changed out the roster of old clothing
1705s and kind of scrapped all the um all the
1708s old beginner clothing like the starter
1710s clothing um and these now have you now
1713s have kind of like these primitive tribal
1716s outfits that you get to select from from
1718s the start and then anything kind of
1720s upgradeable from that would have to go
1721s through the
1726s tailor I'm hoping hoping that the update
1728s will go as planned here in a few
1735s minutes uh
1739s we'll see there's a lot of shatter going
1741s on with u inside
1744s the UA shat
1750s so uh
1753s uh so it seems like the pipeline is
1758s working it a little bit and it doesn't
1759s really want to deploy right now
1761s so um it'll be a
1764s slight light temporal delay here

1770s um there anything new with the loss for
1773s the update um well you have the whole
1775s settlements things so you're no you're
1776s no longer having global loss from the
1778s start if you're playing with settlements
1783s enabled um what that means is that when
1786s you start when you start the game you
1788s can't just build the capital and
1790s everyone gets to vote on it and
1792s whatnot um you need to create a town
1795s inside that town influence is where the
1797s loss that you enact are going to be
1799s affecting and if you want a broader
1802s wider bigger area you're going to need
1804s to have multiple towns band together and
1807s or um get a higher cultural value which
1810s is gained by using um art stuff which is
1816s cultural Improvement objects uh which is
1821s at the moment it's pictures
1823s and paintings and pictures that you
1825s place in um
1829s frames um these gets to be voted on and
1832s we have also done a lot of lat minute
1835s additions changes and upgrades to the
1839s reputation um so now you have a few new
1842s server configurations that kind of
1845s allows you to from an admin
1848s perspective Tinker with
1852s um how much reputation you're allowed to
1855s give out how much reputation you you're
1857s allowed to give any one specific item SL
1861s entity
1864s slers and this comes together with
1868s getting kind of transformed into
1870s cultural
1872s value um and so on or can we
1875s expect can we expect having some Dev
1877s blogs released today as well um I have a
1881s tech tree de blog that is kind of
1884s Brewing um I'm just I just need to grab
1887s some some better screenshots for it to
1891s uh kind of spiff it up a little bit and
1893s then it'll be
1898s released
1901s uh did you ever get the aquaducts added

2042s needs to be manually pushed as it

2063s change in order to make Town's
2064s influences radius grow faster have a
2066s smaller population but we'd like to use
2068s larger map um we can actually go through
2071s some of that now here now that we have
2073s released and everything's out
2077s woohoo uh we can do
2080s this transition into our amazing
2084s new um launch
2090s screen um yeah now you you no longer
2093s have that huge bridge and and government
2097s building now you have a little little
2099s juicy dock
2101s line so this is this is actually a
2105s really interesting world as this is
2107s built entirely by the art
2110s team and it is
2112s also actually
2115s usable so all of the things like all of
2118s the buildings here they have stuff in
2119s them and crafting stations and
2121s everything and and so this is an actual
2124s World they built um poking around and
2126s doing internal play test and and
2133s whatnot
2138s uh it is it should be live on the
2142s default branch and Dennis is pushing the
2146s post now as
2149s well yeah it's it's listed if you select
2152s the specific Branch you'll see it there
2154s is kind of sneakily ahead um
2158s it just takes a little bit longer to go
2160s to kind of enact on the default

2165s Branch um so a few things to to make
2169s sure that uh are the other six block the
2172s the um there's a few that are kind of
2175s coming in the post of release so you
2177s know they'll they'll kind of come out
2182s um as as the ready and kind

2188s as what not um as I recently bought a
2190s toe by ey tracker are there any plans to
2193s support this inco you do have face
2195s tracking with web camera but we do not
2199s have anything that supports anything
2201s outside
2202s of camera stuff um like IR tracking or
2209s whatnot um it should be on the base
2215s Branch oh I face tracking is a bit odd
2219s because I'm using
2221s OBS I'm using OBS and my camera directly
2224s to OBS so if I try to enable the face
2228s tracking on in game it'll kind of seize
2232s up the camera in
2234s OBS um so if you are
2237s streaming uh face tracking yeah the the
2239s face tracking got massively improved um
2241s it's actually working really really good
2244s um it it's terrifying it's it's daunting
2246s um
2247s try it out have a blast um there will be
2250s laps
2253s involved um but yeah so if you are a
2255s streamer for example or you know you're
2257s doing some some whatever with recording
2260s and you're using your web camera at the
2262s same time my suggestion is to use um OBS
2266s virtual camera for your camera tracking
2269s in
2273s game um rather than trying to use the
2276s camera directly uh just to
2280s keep um compatibility
2282s with your regular kind of webcam display
2286s versus the camera use for tracking in
2288s game unless of course you're you're
2290s doing
2291s it you're doing it with the the dual
2294s camera
2299s situation uh time to break the game and
2301s the devs morale at the same time yes
2303s armored thank you very
2306s much
2311s uh on the um on the clothing
2315s uh uh House of dog is not so OBS has if
2321s you're if you're using your web camera
2323s in OBS to display
2327s it um you know for streaming or whatnot
2330s similar to what I have now in the bottom
2332s left corner um you want to be using the
2335s virtual camera to pull from that same
2339s data
2340s stream and then when you're in game here
2344s uh for the face tracking I don't think I
2346s have the face
2348s tracking when you go into the
2351s Avatar you have that availability for
2354s start face tracking and that will turn
2356s the face tracking option on um once it's
2358s on it'll also be uh it should
2362s be this will be toggled on automatically
2365s as well and in here you can
2367s choose
2369s um what source of video you want to use
2373s for the face
2377s tracking and you can select your virtual
2380s camera through there instead of trying
2383s to tap into the same video
2390s stream um that is a very good question
2392s where is
2395s it it should be in here
2398s somewhere they it get posted with the uh
2401s with the
2414s update uh
2422s yeah face tracking is so good and creepy
2424s at the same time yeah I I I tried it out
2426s and it was uh it's so good it's a
2429s jarring experience should be
2434s uh should be uh should be in there um
2437s can you watch it there yeah um I was
2439s just waiting for uh waiting for some
2442s links Dennis is publishing it in a
2444s moment I was hoping to have

2696s sure everything's working for them they
2697s also have some a lot of servers are
2700s using some custom settings that they
2701s need to
2702s U adapt for 10 as
2709s well yeah we got Monsoon here we got
2720s preor a lot of them that are working on
2723s just
2725s updating Nord feels like there's a lot
2727s of changes yes there is a absolutely
2729s astronomical amount of changes that is
2731s going into 10 and there should be

3219s awesome um I've been in white tiger a
3222s lot and some of the other sort of build
3223s servers just kind of seeing this update

3228s you guys are working on it and it's just
3229s it's very exciting stuff I I took a boat
3233s on a very long journey one day across
3235s the the entire sort of ocean and I was
3237s just kind of chilling out with the sun
3239s and the the the waves it was amazing
3241s just I know it's just a small thing but
3243s it was really enjoyable for me and uh
3246s yeah it's just seeing what the community
3248s creates in such like a short time like
3250s you guys are amazing at the stuff that
3252s you build there's a lot of funny stuff

3261s community had built up it's gon to be a

3365s depth in Eco but I was surprised at how
3367s fast I was able to kind of like pick
3369s stuff up I had played it a very long
3371s time ago I think
3372s 2019 um yeah that was that was back in
3376s in 8.3 right I believe so that's when uh
3379s my fellow um work colleagues were
3382s playing it and they got me in for a bit
3384s but yeah I I had time to like really
3385s pick up the systems but now um since
3387s I've been making content it's I just
3390s it's hard to pull myself out of just
3392s having fun and actually start making
3394s content because I can get lost pretty
3395s easily especially when someone drives by
3397s and I'm like oh what do you got building
3399s I start following them so if you see if
3402s you see a random floating character just
3404s following you around is probably me

3888s player oppression or um griefing or or

3899s finality of game values being something
3902s that you can directly prevent pay or tax
3905s or or whatever um it's something that
3908s Eco has always been able to do like this
3910s is not something that's
3911s new um in terms of like you know prevent
3915s Ryan from mining like you've been able
3918s to do that before that that's that's not
3920s something
3921s revolutionary
3923s um in in in terms of that
3926s scope um what is new is
3929s that because the old system based on
3933s globalism of that scale which meant
3935s everyone voted on this action so in in
3938s that say in that case there was a sort
3942s of a protective layer of the larger
3946s majority of the entire server had to
3948s vote or agree or you know they could at
3952s least pitch in and say hey we don't want
3953s to harass this play here so let's you
3955s know vote no on it and and prevent this
3957s stupid law from being enacted because
3959s he's done nothing
3961s wrong but at the same time if no one
3964s voted no then there was nothing that
3966s prevented the same functionality and the
3969s same
3969s mechanic from happening
3973s regardless the big difference now is
3976s that because all of these Civic actions
3979s are
3981s regionalized um it means that inside
3985s this little bubble this sphere of a
3988s bubble they can determine whatever
3991s else
3993s um you know they they can determine what
3995s they want inside that sphere of
3999s influence um but if they want to grow
4002s that sphere of influence they join a
4004s country then all the things inside the
4008s country would be enacted by everyone
4012s involved so if even if you have this
4015s malicious little town that just wants to
4017s destroy everything for everyone they
4020s can't just roll
4022s over everyone else entirely if they want
4024s to create a country they need to have an
4026s entire other Town also agree to all of
4029s the same
4032s aspects and then you add that to the
4035s Federation where you have multiple
4037s countries which then comprises of
4039s multiple towns then that's suddenly the
4042s large majority of the server anyway
4045s which then puts it in the
4047s same criterias as before where you you
4051s need to have the large majority of votes
4054s to be able to push through loss same
4056s thing for you need to have the large
4057s majority to remove loss or you know
4059s whichever Civic articles that you're
4061s involved
4063s in
4064s um so yeah there is a layer of griefing
4069s SL like PVP oriented
4072s mix uh mentality that can be applied in
4075s some of these areas but when you start
4077s to forcefully kind of annex and absorb
4080s these
4081s people they're more than likely going to
4083s be hostile towards you because you're
4085s forcing them to do something they might
4087s not want do which then mean they might
4090s be working against you in every single
4092s aspect of what you're trying to
4097s accomplish
4099s um it's just like real life uh yeah who
4102s who would have who would have thought
4104s that forcefully annexing your neighbor
4106s would cause resentment with that
4110s neighbor a shocking surprise
4114s reveal um so a few a few notes for
4118s people that have been doing the play
4120s test or at any point doing the play test
4124s when you hop into the game I think it
4126s should be prompting you um I know it it
4128s prompts you and gives you an alert when
4129s you go into
4132s um when you go into your
4135s Avatar and you pop that open and you
4137s want to edit it it will pop you with an
4138s alarm saying that hey when you join a
4142s server um you're not going to be able to
4145s like any adjustments you make to your
4147s avatar is not going to be reflected on
4148s servers you have already joined which is
4152s um something slightly different um
4155s because now the Avatar editing SL
4158s appearance change is not as encompassing
4161s as it was when you edit your character
4164s on the server like you can't change
4166s gender um and and I believe skin color
4169s and some of the other like physiological
4173s stuff
4175s um on the server you're actively playing
4178s on um you also need to go through a um
4183s add dresser to do
4185s that so you want to make sure that kind
4188s of your avatar that you want to join a
4189s server with is the final variation that
4193s you have on that you've created and
4198s customized
4201s um the see players stay on C play test
4204s or go on 10 beta um check on information
4208s on Discord for that I believe Dennis
4210s posts
4212s some for the specific play test like
4215s what what happens to the play tests and
4217s and
4221s whatnot I'll even summon him in the uh

4543s really have any functionality um
4546s and they were just not really didn't
4550s really make any sense for them to be in
4552s there um but they were just never
4554s removed from the previous versions so
4555s now that we have a major version upgrade
4557s I kind of took the opportunity to just
4560s eat them

4567s uh yeah on on the face tracking it it
4570s will it'll
4573s um it'll track your face and and motions
4576s and whatnot you do um as well as hands
4578s and and fingers and whatnot

4593s uh some new detailing colorization for

4597s items um you can
4600s get pretty creative um and there's also
4604s with this whole thing it's it's been a
4605s big experimentation for the art team to

4613s it what parts are going to be
4615s customizable in terms of colors and
4619s whatnot
4621s um has been pretty uh pretty fun
4625s to go over and see what we can do in
4629s what what kind of scope we want

4637s that you get to a finalization of your
4640s avatar and this is also what's going to

4707s um yeah so a few a few kind of big a few
4711s big Chang there's there's so much things
4714s in here that has been changed
4716s and overall but a few of the big
4719s noticeable ones for um older players is
4724s going to be that um your early game is
4727s going to be looking way
4729s differently um as I've added a
4733s restriction for requiring the specialty
4736s when you're crafting research
4739s papers um the requirement for specialty
4743s for actually manufacturing the upgrade
4745s modules have been
4747s removed uh you still have research
4749s papers that's been added to and you
4751s still have certain items that is
4754s required to manufacture them so the
4756s gates like the profession Gates
4759s themselves are not necessarily
4762s altered
4764s um but you are having um for some of
4768s them you might be having a slightly
4770s higher
4774s dependency um for getting them however
4777s the level requirements that you were
4779s previously the big hurdle to get past
4783s through um is no longer
4788s there um and I hope I didn't forget to
4790s Nuke anything out of the play test so it
4792s actually Lo and everything
4796s properly
4798s um yeah so we have like the if you want
4801s to if you want like a a big bullet point
4804s of what this update can contain we had a
4807s huge refactor to the
4810s Avatar um we have added you know boats
4813s vehicles um a tremendous amount of
4817s effort kind of went into making that
4819s whole system
4821s work and we also snuck in some last
4824s minute changes and fixes
4828s um that there's still a couple of
4830s animations that is lacking um and some
4834s speed ups that need to be
4837s happening but the um the animals should
4841s also
4843s be less proned to
4848s weirdness um so here we have the new
4852s flax plant that is in and as I mentioned
4855s earlier um if you are migrating 97 world
4858s you're going to run into a few quirks um
4861s that you might notice one you're going
4863s to have to spawn in flax some way shape
4865s or another because it's it's a
4867s completely brand new crop it won't um
4870s it's not going to be backwards kind
4873s of um it's not going to grow on your
4876s server that never had Flax on
4879s it um you also might need to
4882s run
4885s um some some some uh habitability layer
4888s spawn I know there's some detailing in
4890s the in the
4891s um in the
4893s technical uh threads on Discord about
4897s how to do
4899s that uh the deer does does the deer
4902s still use the Matrix to dodge arrows
4904s sometimes um they still have a few kind
4906s of quick Quirk turns that they
4911s do uh but overall we've been doing a lot
4914s of a lot of pathing and AI analy
4917s analyzing that
4919s should um and has been doing a lot of
4921s debugging um to the animals so they're
4923s they're behaving a lot nicer not sure
4926s how much of that went
4927s into the actional release
4932s but
4936s um the um a lot of improvements to
4942s it
4948s um so yeah another thing for migrating
4951s servers is someone mentioned it um I
4954s shall miss the elastic Fox uh the
4956s Slender
4957s fox has I think someone spotted A
4960s variation
4962s of another slender animal in one
4965s specific scenario in one yeah but yeah
4968s the Slender Fox is is basically gone um
4973s but there was there was one animal that
4975s got caught in the
4976s same configuration
4981s um that we're doing it um what did you
4984s do to the Slender Fox we fixed it we we
4986s fixed it is is
4989s fixed um but yeah no so the um there
4993s there's there's a whole heap load of of
4995s fixes in in across the board um but on
4997s the 97
4999s thing um when you update or if you if
5003s you run through from 97 to 10 one thing
5006s that you are going to notice is that
5008s blocks will be rotated the wrong way in
5010s a lot of cases especially for stairs and
5014s ramps um and that's because
5017s of
5019s a um you call it uh a standardization of
5024s how the block is oriented in the unity
5027s assets uh which previously didn't really
5030s matter as much uh but something that we
5033s kind of uniformly
5036s did
5038s this um so you you you know you've seen
5042s this with asphalt this is kind of been a
5044s a a standard thing for a while since U
5048s Anna initially implemented it so you
5050s have a line tool you you grab the blocks
5052s out and you can build up as
5057s reps
5060s um while that always worked because uh
5065s the orientation of the asphalt was
5067s correctly set as being at 0° orientation
5071s for the default block State this wasn't
5074s the case for a lot of the different
5076s block site uh block types so when you
5079s tried to place a block like this and you
5082s wanted to orient it it would it would
5085s look for the default rotation on the
5088s next step which meant if all blocks
5091s didn't uniform
5093s formly be placed in the same direction
5096s on that zero
5098s angle it would try to place the stairs
5101s in the incorrect
5106s manner so in this case like I'm doing a
5110s line here it would try to do a diagonal
5112s line because the blocks are in the
5114s opposite kind of
5117s Direction um but yeah so that's one of
5119s the things that we uh we went over and
5122s added there's a couple of things that
5125s there's I think three block forms that I
5127s missed doing it for so those will be
5131s coming out in in a maintenance update or
5134s hot fix depending on um but yeah so this
5137s this is something that we've added to a
5139s large majority of it so as long as
5141s you're kind of building in the path of
5143s the
5144s staircase um or the ramp it'll
5146s automatically diagonally build
5150s it um something that have been been
5153s requested quite frequently and we talked
5155s about it in regards to the stone
5158s roads the stone roads have their block
5160s forms now which means that you can build
5163s them um so one of the things the ramp
5166s for the stone blocks are
5168s gone uh they're no longer World objects
5171s you can't place them they are individual
5174s blocks and of course as with everything
5177s else that has a block form it is now
5179s buildable
5180s by line or F or you
5184s know whichever form types you want to
5186s build no more no more single block
5188s placement for these
5195s things um which also means that they
5197s have a new placeable version of them as
5202s well
5205s uh yeah couple of a couple of cool new
5208s features we also have a um a new move
5210s feature for the World objects which
5212s makes
5213s um dealing with house reconstruction a
5216s bit
5219s easier um some tool tips on loading
5223s screens would be helpful yeah we we we
5225s uh we started looking at
5230s um um started looking at some of that
5234s um the range is still the same but I
5237s reduce the amount of calories
5241s required
5244s um there's not a detailed change log yet
5250s um there's a lot of keybinds that are
5253s not told to us 3,000 hours deep and I'm
5255s still learning
5258s stuff um is that something we can toggle
5261s to make larger
5263s um which one would um oh the for the um
5269s the distance required so the the
5271s um the distance limitations are set by
5276s calorie consumption and if you are using
5279s you're on a server

5312s move this is what's determining how much
5314s it costs to move
5316s things um which is Multiplied in in in
5320s total weight in kilos so if you
5323s have uh you know three kilos worth of
5326s materials in a
5329s stockpile um it'll multiply that with
5333s the amount of tiles you want to move it
5335s so this can be reduced to a very very
5337s very small value um to reduce the
5340s general cost to move
5342s things as for the actual range limit
5346s specifically um you might need to do
5350s some slight minor modding for it because
5352s I don't think the actual range limit is
5354s exposed um but it's something I could
5356s look
5359s at I think you do uh
5378s table

5388s control move function versus pickup so
5391s if you hit control and left click you
5394s have that set 20 meter um and the main
5397s reason for the range limit is just kind
5401s of um it's it's mostly to just avoid
5406s exploitation for things like moving full
5408s stock piles or or you know back and
5411s forth um as a means of transportation
5414s rather than having to infrastructurally
5416s build to move things
5419s around um but it's definitely something

5473s left this and then cancel still it's a
5476s little bit
5481s touchy um
5482s but it
5484s is um part of uh part of just continuing

5490s polish um that we we were working on um
5494s I think it might also be that the hammer
5496s animation for the modern one uh left
5499s click to cancel moving

5527s still a little bit finicky with some of

5543s so it's not really linked to a specific
5545s value on the tools it's directly linked
5548s to like the tool
5554s prefab yeah it shouldn't be doing an
5556s animation for the cancellation
5559s um I think that is it's not doing it if
5563s you don't have another block you're
5564s looking at it's it's a priority issue
5568s here if I'm trying to cancel things and
5570s I have a block adjacent to it that's
5572s when it's trying to do it otherwise it
5578s won't um so there's still a few kind of
5580s minor glitches and some some Polish
5583s things that will be um kind of keep
5586s matching up and
5589s uh um maintenance updating for
5593s um
5595s and kind of continuingly grabbing
5597s feedback one now that it's released and
5599s we have a you know a general b audience
5602s that is attacking all of these little
5604s quirks um and there's still a few things
5608s that we notice and we know of sense the
5611s big refactors to a lot of the
5612s interaction system um so there's a a few
5615s quirks um in surrounding building and
5619s kind of prioritize layer interactions
5621s between like World objects versus Plants
5623s versus blocks and if you're looking at a
5625s block through a plant and so on so
5627s forth um but yeah overall it's been a a
5630s crazy Journey getting here here uh we're
5632s super excited to finally have it
5635s released um stoked to see all the
5637s feedback and all the crazy things people
5639s are going to people are going to have at
5641s it
5643s um and
5646s uh yeah you know jump on a server Grab A
5650s Little Canoe take a whirl around
5655s um see what you feel see what you're
5657s missing and what you want to be uh doing
5665s Wonder yeah look at this
5668s beautiful some of the new food that were
5672s added uh 16 claims Max for Homestead yes
5676s which is configurable anything and and
5678s everything almost reliably configurable
5683s to settings from the server the server
5686s side of things jump into uh gam playay
5690s and then you want to jump into to
5693s settlements and here you have basically
5695s every single setting that is related to
5699s settlements that may be needing to be
5701s adjusted and I know it's a lot in
5704s here um they all have descriptions they
5706s all have kind of an an explanation to
5708s what they're actually doing um and for
5711s someone that was that was asking about
5713s the influence
5715s earlier um you
5719s have uh
5724s have
5725s a Ultra Advantage
5729s um waited anex there's a default here we
5734s go so these
5737s are uh these are the base values
5741s for the tier of settlements should
5744s probably have been not named as an array
5746s but as properties
5749s although uh
5753s just ignoring the helicopters I I'm I'm
5755s completely ignoring the helicopters um
5758s but yeah so if you have a server and you
5760s have a lower population of a server but
5762s you want to have a bigger
5764s world then these are going to be your
5766s main points that you want to be changing
5769s out because you have
5772s a um you have an influence
5775s multiplier which is just exponentially
5778s increasing the value in the different
5779s settlements you have the base influence
5782s value so when you first place
5784s down a town or a country or whatnot this
5787s is the the the smallest possible radius
5791s that this is going to be
5793s covering and then you have the
5798s actual um you have the amount of
5801s cultural properties that could be in
5805s here and a whole slew of other settings
5809s that you want to be looking over as well
5811s if you want to custom customize it
5812s to um going over all of these settings
5816s so as was mentioned here and and asked
5819s for was 16 claims being maximum for
5822s Homestead this is the setting that you
5824s want to be changing for that specific
5826s value so this is the specific Homestead
5830s stake and then you also
5833s have specific values for these if they
5837s are on a regular claim stake or if
5840s they're on a foundation it's
5843s self and the difference here is if we
5847s take we take a town foundation for
5851s example so when you first want to start
5853s a
5854s town you build one of these out of the
5857s new amazing cool um settlement crafting
5865s table and this is something that you
5868s craft out of the
5870s workbench and in here it has all the new
5875s all the new and all the
5877s old um
5882s craftables um with this
5886s so Homestead is what you get with the
5890s starter
5891s tent so when you take your starter Camp
5894s um you see that little Stak here in
5896s front that is your homestead
5898s steak so when you place this down it
5902s prompts that you're now a member of or a
5904s resident of the this
5907s Homestead that is what this
5910s is and to improve the amount that you
5913s can claim from
5915s this um you need to add claim papers
5918s here from a town it's under or a country
5921s it's
5922s under and so on so n don't want to go to
5926s bed there um I want to just open it up
5928s and I want to grab the claim tool which
5931s is revised upgraded and
5935s Polished um it also points to the uh
5939s Compass is actually working if you get
5941s confused in which direction you're
5942s looking
5945s at um so here you can see that we have
5948s this this info plate that wasn't really
5950s used prior um there was some underling
5953s changes in 97 that it was kind of
5954s visible uh but didn't really contain all
5956s the information for that we had in
5960s mind um so this is where you see the
5963s amount of plots claimed for this
5964s specific
5965s deed and a homestead has 16 by
5970s default um and as a qu as a
5974s um as an answer to that one guys uh yes
5977s you will be able to do that you you well
5980s you point towards which settlement or
5984s stake you want them to be associated
5986s with you do like SL spawn claims and
5989s then the town or uh country name or or
5991s settlement
5993s ID um which is under under
6001s settlement um and I believe stalf has
6004s updated the Wikipedia page for all the
6007s commands so you have ADD claim papers
6010s add claim Stakes um that you can use and
6012s then specify the the specific settlement
6015s that you want them to be placed in and
6017s then they will be spawned inside that
6020s Foundation
6023s um so I have my Homestead here I can
6025s claim up to 16
6027s plots
6032s um um when you have a separate thing for
6036s like a town
6038s Foundation you can place this down and
6041s it'll claim that first piece of land
6044s that it gets placed
6047s on um up here which means you're you're
6051s also going to want to claim more
6055s properties if you want to be building a
6056s bigger building for it so you want to be
6059s just grabbing your mouse
6061s movement right clicking the claim tool
6064s and you get a list of all the Deeds you
6066s have access to and you can specify which
6069s one you want to be claiming for at that
6075s time and then you can just roll over
6078s claim up and as you can see up top
6082s the town Foundation has nine plots by
6085s default that it belongs to and then once
6088s it's
6090s formed uh which has a few requirements
6093s such as the amount of citizens which is
6096s also something that you can
6098s configure uh the volume space is the
6101s world object
6104s requirement um as well as the room tier
6106s and everything is yeah the
6110s uh
6112s the the pencil seems to have gone aall
6113s in in first person
6115s view
6118s um thing things that are
6122s uh things on the list to
6125s do um because they're handled kind of
6128s separate towards animation wise and
6131s syncwise um but yeah so that like all of
6135s these plot limitations uh depending on
6138s us claim stake versus foundations can
6140s all be adjust Ed and set
6143s here um these might be renamed variable
6147s wise to kind of make more sense um in
6149s terms of the
6151s tier but it is also like this whole
6154s structure system is also set up to be
6156s completely modular and modable so the
6159s base idea is that you should be able to
6162s add more settlement types if you want
6166s them to be
6169s added uh oh oh yeah look at that um I
6172s even get a I even get a a DM from one of
6175s the devs working on a fix right now so
6177s swapping swapping from the claim tool to
6181s an empty
6182s slot um apparently fixes the
6184s pencil is that fixing the pencil oh it's
6190s not or swap to the claim tool from an
6192s empty slot I don't know Luka you're
6195s you're you're making this
6197s up holding the pen but I'm
6200s not not actually
6204s working a non empty okay hang on so if I
6206s grab the hammer and I switch over yeah
6210s see there we go that
6212s worked the peculiarities of the touch
6216s touch screen claim
6219s tool um as you can see these amazing
6222s little little sneaky bugs
6225s um if I swap it in from an empty tool it
6229s uh it doesn't use the pen but if I have
6232s a tool selected and I switch to it it'll
6234s use the
6235s pen um is there somewhere in the confix
6238s to change it out you can only have one
6239s spawn point um I know Mishka was playing
6242s around with it a little bit but that
6243s whole system should still be
6247s working last I
6250s heard take it with a grain of salt um so
6257s inside inside initial setup and users
6262s you still have that General
6265s thing
6267s um I know there was some issues getting
6270s this to override the current setup so
6273s I'm not going to promise on
6276s it but it should
6279s work um and if it doesn't it it needs to
6282s work I think is the
6285s premise um and then you have the initial
6288s one um and you want to be checking
6290s through the initial spawn as
6293s well um to make sure
6296s that um because you can also disable the
6300s general thing
6301s and um only show settlement spawn so you
6305s like disable wild spawns which is
6308s probably what you're looking for in if
6311s you're only wanting to have one world
6312s spawn you're probably looking at
6314s customizing to have like a global
6316s government from the
6317s start or a global Federation from the
6320s start in case this
6322s would
6324s um poke around a little bit with it if
6327s you run into op if you run into issues
6329s just drop a message on Discord and uh
6333s try to see what's going
6336s on um we also have these for uh for the
6340s modding
6342s scene uh We've we've poked around a
6345s little bit with new catching
6347s layers um so here you can specify
6352s what entities can be caught with which
6355s specific catch
6359s layer
6361s um and so on so here you can actually
6364s customize what you can catch with what
6366s vehicle or what entities and like if you
6370s catch um Jaguars with the fishing pole
6373s you can Tinker that around and it will
6375s catch yaguar um back and
6379s forth um reputation also got a bit of a
6383s rework um you have these variables in
6386s here as
6387s well um speaking well of others reward
6391s where if you um you give a certain
6394s amount of positive rep to different
6396s people you'll be rewarded with a certain
6398s amount of positive rep back so you can
6400s kind of keep giving out more
6403s rep um and all of these are just you
6405s know they they're in here they're in the
6407s they're in the um um slew of different
6411s new configurations that you can go
6413s through and
6415s uh Tinker with um from a server admin
6422s perspective uh there was a new twitch
6424s interaction tool is anything needed to
6426s add that um talk to Jordan if you have
6430s any or the test game if you have any
6432s issues trying to sort that out
6437s um as he is is the lead lead devil on
6441s the uh on the twitch thing um it was
6443s approved by twitch I don't know how much
6445s is available as of right now I think it
6448s should be
6451s live um but basically it will it will
6456s sync up
6459s uh and allow you to do like this
6462s integration will activate when you
6463s connect twitch to an to to a twitch
6465s enabled ecos server and there is there's
6468s a few things in here for twitch um so
6472s from an admin perspective the they need
6474s to have twitch integration
6477s enabled um for all of these things and
6480s they can decide and and enable disable
6483s uh twitch subscriptions required and so
6485s on so
6487s forth so just a few things there that
6489s the admin might need to set up um to
6491s actually be
6492s used and then once you have that sorted
6496s out
6498s um inside
6502s what is that
6505s called uh Board of
6510s election
6513s yeah so inside
6516s here you can
6525s make the inside here if if I had Civic
6530s powers
6531s um needs the
6538s Constitution thank
6541s you there we go so inside a election
6545s process which is what you need for
6547s elections you can
6549s enable um or you can you can configure
6552s these twitch weights so twitch
6554s subscriber votes on subscribers
6558s versus maximum percentage of votes you
6561s can set it to like 5% so even if
6563s everyone watching your stream is voting
6565s then they're not they're only going to
6566s be accounting to a total of 5% on the
6568s entire bulk that's voting on this
6571s election
6574s um there's a few things in here that you
6576s can kind of tweak over and then we also
6578s have some new some new variables to
6581s clean up and and any kind of
6583s inconsistencies here with what happens
6585s if it's a tie and so
6589s on um
6593s there's a few there's a few cool ttch
6596s related things in there that can uh
6598s allow viewers and subscribers to kind of
6600s participate and uh have a say in your
6603s community elections
6607s um if you have those set up now if you
6610s you know if you still want to have them
6612s be able to use the plugin and uh just
6614s see like statistics and whatnot but not
6616s have a say in those selections you can
6618s just you know set them to zero in that
6620s election type and even if they can vote
6622s on it they it would just be um kind of
6626s an arbitrary vote of passion and not
6628s actually be
6630s effectful that's also
6632s possible um but
6636s yeah holy moly um two hours
6641s later um it feels like or almost um it's
6645s uh it's been a long journey up to 10 we
6648s finally have it released
6651s make sure to drop in any any bug reports
6654s or anything that pops out that we missed
6656s or any you know if you're if you're
6659s running into issues just um head over on
6661s the Discord and drop drop in player logs
6663s and server logs or or whatnot
6666s and uh we'll try to help out as much as
6669s we can as quickly as we can uh I'm
6671s guessing that we're going to see a bit
6673s more influx um of issues now that we're
6676s reaching a a broader General

6684s been freaking stellar and

6693s helping us squash so many bugs

6794s you generally had like 600 bugs um
6797s roughly and and not this is just like
6801s bugs that you know were misbehaving this
6803s is not like polished tasks or things
6806s with that were still not completed or or
6809s like General feature
6811s implementation uh but we were projecting
6813s it to be somewhere early December and
6818s the green line being like stuff that
6819s were being fixed and then the white line
6822s was basically stuff that needs to be
6824s fixed
6827s um so we got so every everyone just put
6831s in like these these last three months um
6833s everyone just put everything in high
6835s gear
6837s and really crunched the crap out of all
6841s the general bugs and everything that
6843s people were reporting in the play test
6846s um and we doing really
6849s really super efficient work throughout
6853s um and managed to get that down
6855s to a really crazy low number now we
6859s still have a few works and and and
6862s shenanigans that's going on but
6867s um it was a lot of work and everything
6871s everyone has spent a tremendous amount
6872s of time just making sure that this goes
6874s out as smooth as possible
6878s um so yeah hopefully uh hopefully um
6883s everyone is having a good experience to
6884s see some people are having some
6885s technical issues but the
6889s um
6891s here uh game doesn't allow me to create
6894s a world or connect to one no matter what
6896s I do
6899s um first thing would do run a
6901s verification second thing I would do is
6903s make sure that you've created an avatar
6906s um or you completed that process through
6908s an
6910s avatar um the third would
6913s be connecting to Discord and hopping
6915s into the technical help channels and
6919s posting logs because there might be um
6922s either Hardware issue
6924s or some other driver
6927s conflict
6932s whatnot I do know that like we're we're
6935s in terms of window support it's
6937s basically 10
6939s um 10 and 11 um I know someone was
6943s trying to join up with 8.1
6947s and um that's the it it just doesn't
6950s work um so make sure that you have the
6953s OS as supported requirement as
6959s well um on feedback as well we tuned
6962s down the sound of the rain and changed
6964s it out a bit now it's a lot more
6967s smooth a lot less
6977s intrusive yes there's a lot of lot of
6980s graphical stuff that's changed a lot of
6982s technical stuff that's changed um
6983s architecturally it's it's almost like a
6985s brand new
6987s game um really proud over all the things
6990s that we've accomplished in
6993s 10 it's it it's been a journey and we're
6996s finally at the uh the destination of
6998s this
7000s particular point of it so
7003s uh yeah enjoy it have have at it uh go
7007s nuts and um
7011s we'll keep updating with some of the uh
7015s all almost all the textures are
7019s changed
7020s um yeah we're we're we're at it and as
