Industrial elevator keeps jumping onto the roof and gets stuck there.

So it jumps through the 1 tile thick ceiling (dirt) above it and gets stuck there I have to pick it up and place it again every time.
Anyone know what causes it and/or a workaround? It was kinda funny the first couple of times but it's getting a bit irksome ^^
Any help would be appreciated.
