Hi. In short, I've spent a lot of time planting my wheat at the ideal locations, i.e. using the minimaps Yeast Yield Potential filter and the Soil Sampler. Turns out even if I plant my plants in sub-optimal conditions (i.e., next to my house) it shows only ~67% match. Grows 19.2 hours (the same as in >90% conditions) and the Soil Sampler says "Current Yield: 4", however I get 9 wheat every time. I mean, I'm not exactly complaining as my current situation was quite dire, however I am curious whether these features are only listed, but not implemented (or turned off in some setting). I'm playing on a dedicated server with settings set to low, no collaboration. But I can't find any setting related to this problem in the Server UI.

Thanks for any help!

Because devs would rather implement the 5 branch government no one asked for for ten players because severs can't handle more rather than fixing basic mechanics and performance issues. Yield is broken, fertilizers are broken, biomes are broken.

I'm able to handle 50 players quite well, it's not that broken ;)
You get the point for performance, though. But that's part of 9.0.
Farming is something we want to revamp entirely in a future patch, hence it's not being touched at the moment. I don't see where biomes are broken, though. Might want to go into more detail there.

I also don't see the biomes being broken more than that players only settle in some of them due to how the game is designed.

Biomes also seem to be getting more interesting in 9.0 :)

Server performance is also pretty OK. My private server reached 34 concurrent players a few days ago and it stayed afloat without lag.

Well, that "settling" is actually an intended mechanic and 9.0 focuses on that even more.

50 people is a small size guild in WoW. 50 people do not need 5 branch government for self-organization :D It begins to be relevant from I'd say 150 ppl at least. Unfortunately, there are no core features that could support even 150 players and no mentioned plans for them. There are very few professions half of them are not functional or have no sense and even less distinction within a profession. Plus the more you play the less you need other players. So even if they'll fix performance issues (which they didn't since I bought the game several years ago) they still have to redo the game's core gameplay issues to motivate people to join old servers instead of new ones.

I don't see where biomes are broken, though.

They are fixed in place. Even if you cut all the jungles, they'll grow back. You can't turn deserts into lush fields. No need for aqueducts. Stupid rainfall has no sense. You can ignore all the "eco" moments in the game. Just make sure you place stupid tiling deep enough or what is more stupid - high enough. And don't forget to periodically turn off the stupid modern stove. Or just place it in the middle of the ocean since the ocean biome is useless haha

Eco is not an MMO, hence it doesn't claim being able to support that. And while long-term reaching 100 players is a possible goal, we do not plan to go beyond that. It would cause issues with the finite world very fast, as well. It's just not minecraft. Regarding governance we will need to disagree, i see 10 player servers unable to work without government, none of the bigger ones work well without. All of the notable servers have their own government structure outside of Eco that they can now implement ingame. None of them is run by single person or would work with a single person. I don't know a 150 people guild only having a single leader and no officers, just normal members without anything to say, do you? Does it work? (Please note that i was talking of users online at the same time, the population is therefore way bigger)

Given the "broken biomes" that's definately cool features, but not having these features doesn't make the biomes "broken". Aqueducts are nice to make decorative stuff and will get a better use with the farming revamp, but could definately be considered broken right now.

CO2 will give you a lot of problems in 9.0, i promise.
