External link →It is not possible to have more than one homestead, including with Settlements off. You shouldn't set that though, as it is a legacy setting that may be removed at any time in the future and saves would no longer be working once it is removed, hence for singleplayer the setting cannot be turned off without manually starting a server.
You can still configure the game to give you extra claim papers and stakes that can be used outside of settlements in Difficulty.eco when reading skill scrolls, similar to how things worked in Update 9. If you use the "No Collaboration" preset for singleplayer, that is the case by default, otherwise you want to set these values:
"ClaimStakesGrantedUponSkillscrollConsumedAndSettlementsEnabled": 1.0,
"ClaimPapersGrantedUponSkillscrollConsumedAndSettlementsEnabled": 5.0,
Likely that will do what you want - being able to have multiple properties without needing a town.
