Hey there, I have a recommended spec system but I'm seeing that my fps starts high but then slow grinds down over time hanging around twenty. So it's early access and I'm happy to wait as optimisation always comes later down the line but just wondered if anyone had any tips to improve performance because I really love the game!

It's been like this for more than year now, I just don't play anymore. I appreciate the new content that's been added, but it doesn't mean shit to me if my high end gaming PC I saved and scrimped for drops down to 20fps every time I play.

Bit of a rant there, sorry. At this point, restarting the game is relatively quick and the best way to temporarily fix your fps issues. Other than that, hope they fix the issue.

Actually those problems people have reported started with 8.0, which is not a year, but since february. If you had such big problems before, there is a different problem. In that case having your logs and savegame could help. ([[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]))

Also, please note: The cause of those fps problems often likely is not the GPU but the CPU, as Eco is insanely cpu hungry (and due to Unity and the amount of simulations ever will be). We have improvements coming either way.

Hey Dennis, thank you for the reply. I can only imagine how tough it is on the cpus with everything that's going on. I guess as an end user it's confusing when you start off playing for half an hour with upwards of 70fps and then it starts sinking down. Anyway regardless I'm having a blast and really looking forward to new updates. It's a brilliant game! Any idea of when the next patch might be? I know you guys had said the tenth but I guess (and this is fine) that there has been a bit of a delay. Thanks!

The update just released! :)

The decreasing fps over time is a different issue and has nothing to do with Eco being cpu hungry. My post was towards those people that have steady low fps (which is also reported quite often) despite their graphics card in comparison is "okayish" to play other games.
