Hi! Basically title, but I’m planning on starting up an eco server soon. Probably around 100-200 players, but I’m not that experienced in the game so I’m not locked in on a number yet. Was curious what you guys would recommend for settings and the like. I’d like it to be a fairly slow paced long-running server if that’s doable. I appreciate any and all responses!

Edit: 100-200 as the active player cap. Not sure how active this community actually is / if anyone is even interested in a new server. I’m also not super experienced with mods on eco.

Set up an auto-restart in case the eco server client crashes. The game can be a bit buggy. There is a tool someone made for auto-restarting eco servers, but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. RAM is very important for the game. I would recommend a server CPU with ECC RAM for error correction, and I think 32GB of RAM is a good target for a big server. But I'm not 100% sure since I haven't run a server with over 100 players. The CPU needs to handle a lot of data pretty fast as well, so try to get some GHz on it. That's my thoughts at least. Good luck!

High frequency desktop CPUs are much better suited and much cheaper as well. ECC memory can possibly be used on respective boards for newer Ryzen generations, but isn't really necessary for this type of application. Automatic restarts on failure and once a day are indeed recommended currently.
