As of the issues, there workaround for the time being

Difficulty Settings > Start with default settings. Exit and change it from the Saves Menu
Issues when not owning the DLC > Copy the scenario to the local directory

Both issues do not stop you from playing

Were not against modding. Were against making money over our game
