I can figure out why they refuse to make every item placeable so we could put a potion or a stone on a chest and label chests that way. it's because they are lazy (no excuse... the system already exist for plates and cups, no reason they wouldn't add the same to every other item other than "f*ck this we don't have time") but why not add a sign where we could write something or add a picture?

there is no excuse for this, this is a very heavy loot focused game, there isn't a single game that lacks this. I really can't wrap my head around it, there is no reason for this not already being in the game months ago.

apparently we can see the first 3 items and that way we can know what a chest will contain. so we could make an entire chest have only wood. but it's still very strange, the ability to label chests so we can see what chest we need from across the room sounds something so basic it's basically common sense.

Allow me to answer with a question that may or may not answer yours: when we prioritize a feature to come after another one in the list, do you think the team:
1 works on the items with the highest priority instead
2 gets the time they'd have spent on said feature off as vacation, as a treat

Also, in the interest of answering your next question, the feature "editable signs" has been on our roadmap for months. We're not refusing to add signs, we will get to it, we're just busy developing the rest of the game.
